Also the hair color, orange (maybe red, even yellow) makes the Arisen’s weapon fire based, while white makes the weapon frost (ice) based. At least for the Switch version. The (non enchanted) weapon would glow the same color as the hair of the Arisen, again in the Switch version, and depending on the color, would do elemental damage.
Is there a ring that can increase carry weight, like for example I saw a video of a guy carrying 347.6 kg ..and it had me puzzle, and his character was displaying very light,
Both completely different games you can't really compare the two. I love both and I definitely prefer dragon's dogma but I have sunked hundreds of hours into skyrim and I don't regret it. They're both great in their own ways
I've played this game on 360 so many times over the years that I thought I knew everything there is to know about it. My favorite rpg of all time, but I totally forgot about these little features. Learning something new everyday is definitely true here for me. Thank you.
I love the weight-physics dynamics, during the Half moon tower trek you come across the gale canyon and my pint sized elf guy couldn’t make it far without being blown away, but my pawn was 2-3 times bigger so I just carried him the whole way throug haha
Great video man. I remember playing this game when I had a ps3. And I've been playing it on ps4 since the remaster release. Your videos have helped me quite a bit.
If you guys don't know if you pick hard mode you gain twice the exp and money and rc and all enemies have a high chance to drop giants coin purse which gives 10000 gold but the downside is enemies do double damage and stamina drains twice as fast but only to hero the negative effects don't effect ur pawns
Hard mode is awful. The double xp means you level twice as fast and the challenge vanishes twice as quickly. They should have instead doubled the Dicipline Points to allow your character to develop skills faster without forsaking the challange. The money is less of an issue, because by the time you reach endgame, you have silly amounts of money anyway.
TSotP I don't see the problem with leveling twice as fastt The point of the game once you've finished the first play through is to just reach level 200
Great video. When this first released I skipped it because I didn't have a lot of experience with RPG's. Over the last few years I've been getting more and more into them. With Games like Wild Hunt and Skyrim under my belt now is the perfect time for me to pick up DD on the Xbox One
I love it when developers put so much effort in perfecting mechanics and details! Makes me mad I didn't try this game before. Just ordered this for PS4, I'm pretty hyped right now. Great Video by the way :D
One video I'd love to see is a video that shows how each optional voice sounds in gameplay, rather than just in the creation menu, since we don't get to hear much when making the selection. It's very easy to think a voice sounds good when all you hear is grunting and/or "Steel yourself for combat!"
DaveKraft400 That is true, but that costs (in-game) money. Perfectly reasonable, and definitely the route I'm taking to correct any voice issues, but I was just thinking a video showcase of voice sounds might save people the trouble, however minor that trouble was.

I believe weight prevents cyclops from moving or moving much when you grab there legs to It'd be cool if a heavy character could grab or drastically weigh down the snake of a chimera
i don't know if someone pointed this out but your weight also affects how you react to wind. heavy characters suffer less or no push back from wind. This is good in dragon/drake/W fights and i think there is a area that wind is a bit of a problem.
A thing I was certain having an heavy character could prevent was getting lifted in the air by harpies. To my surprise, even my 200+ kg character got picked up by them !
I've experimented a lot with different sized characters to see the differences firsthand. I play most games like I would a pugilist in ffxiv. Able to deal plenty of damage while still being quick on their feet. I can build stamina and other stats as the game progresses. I definitely prefer playing a smaller character when these factors matter in a game.
I don’t know if this true across all platforms, but in my Switch version of the game, hair color also affects your Arisen’s weapon’s element. For example, orange (haven’t tried red or yellow) seems to make the weapon a fire based weapon, where as white seems to make the weapon frost (ice) element.
African American Carrot if I use this “loli” build, I use either archer, mystic archer or assassin class. It easily for me if I shoot them from far distance.
Tidbit about character heights: On the wiki, they say a height of 150 or less allows for characters to enter the 'goblin holes' in the Shadow Fort. If your character height is a decimal, such as 150.8, then you will be too tall. If you wish to attempt to reject humanity and become goblin, you must be below 150. This video is more accurate than the wiki. Dreams of becoming a goblin on a first playthrough were shattered. Be wary of wiki; adhere to video guides.
Hair color too. Want to do fire damage with a sword or dagger without enchanting the weapon? Give the Arisen orange (maybe red or yellow even) hair. Want frost (ice) attacks, give the Arisen white hair. At least that's how it was with the Switch version. Non enchanted weapon would glow after hitting an enemy, the glow of the weapon would be the same color as the Arisen's hair, and depending on the color, does elemental damage.
@@StyleshStorm Sorry, don't have the equipment or the money to buy the equipment to make the video necessary. But I assure you that it *did* indeed happen. I was fighting the lizard monster under the well in the starting city/town/village, and I noticed I was freezing them. I fought them with a different character that had orange hair, making the dagger of my strider glow orange, and do fire damage, but the fight would take longer, and I would take quite a bit of damage while dealing with even just one. So I remade my character from the start, gave the character white hair, and the weapons of my strider was glowing white when it hit an enemy. So hair color also seems to play a role, at least with the Switch version, not sure about other platforms, but since the Switch version would be the same as any others, could be true for other systems too. You could try it out yourself.
Thank you very much, you helped me with my character, it was giving me a lot of problems, when you have full equipment it is difficult to even walk, the character feels heavy and that took me out of the game.

My next roll will be me as a loli ranger and my pawn as a fat mage, I dream about my pawn carrying me into battle as I fire volleys of arrows down on the dragon mwahaha.
Well, I like to think of it as playing through a hero's rise to glory kind of story? kind of like playing zelda or something? And then maybey in the later game adjusting their size and height to simulate growth? Playing as a kid is pretty entertaining. You get to watch the kid get stronger and fuck shit up. It's cool. As for the Lolis, I think some people find fun in watching a little girl kick demon and monster ass lol.
I want to make a strider dagger and bow guy. I always hated running out of energy and that I could not carry a lot. Would you say I need to keep him around 89 weight and height???
Ive seen some people say that height increases the carry weight but I can confirm thats not true My arisen and pawn have the exact same body shape with the only difference being that my characters the 2nd tallest height and my pawn's the 3rd tallest So my pawn is a bit shorter then me however she has a bit more carry weight then I do Same body shape and everything just a bit of a difference In height and weight

I'd recommend ya check out a mod off nexusmods that adjusts the XP needed to level up, Mark! I think you're like me in that ya wish you didn't outlevel and trivialize the main game so fast. I use a 12x normal XP needed to level mod, and it feels about like what D&D takes to level to 20. This means lower level gear is important to upgrade and every better item counts, the lower level mobs pose an actual challenge, and you can simply play the game without worrying about outleveling everything. May be what you're looking for!

So, 1 pound = 0.453592 KG, right? If I said "this character weighs 7.375293 KG", could you tell how many pounds that is right away? I wish people use normal (and reasonable) measurements, not kilograms or kilometers. But that's a gripe for a different topic, not really relevant to the point of the video, which is good by the way.
KidAnime20 well the same goes for pounds. You can't tell right away how many Kilogramms it is when i give you some random number in Pounds....so i don't get your point
Because when someone says "1 pound", it's literally just one pound, no need for other measurements to determine what that weight is. For kilogram, it's an uneven decimal of numbers that relies on other measurements to be calculated unless you're an engineer.
I love the character creation in this game. It's beautiful! Height, weight, arm and leg length actually affect the character stats... All be it even if slighlty but still..... The fact that they thought to put this touch in here is soooooooo amazing!

Can warrior use 6 skills now? Can pawns now use the combination vocations? Someone pls answer. 😣 Assassin, magick archer etc.
It's still all the SAME. The difference is the stable FPS and a very very subtle graphics enhancement(PC is at least 3 times much better).
Chasing Chickens thank you.
Highwind Nomad No prob. I hope Capcom release a follow up to this awesome game. As of right now it's unlikely.
Thanks man
6:12 reminds me of my old girlfriend :D
At 5:50 I threw up a little in my mouth. ..
That's something you would seen in a cantina in Star Wars.
It's a titan
Still hotter than Kate Upton.
I had no idea there would be so much hidden stuff to know about making your character.
I love your videos
*”Also for the women bust size affects your weight.”*

play what u like or love...doesnt affect much
I just wish I could make a female character in the Large class and not make her borderline look like a Titan from Attack on Titan.
How much is this game going to cost when it comes out on consoles.. Don't tell me 60$ lmao
Ouroboros Its 30$
$31.79 Total Price with Tax included
It's only 30$ here in Australia on the PSN but 69$ in stores which is odd.

What's wrong? That's every SJW gaming and animated industry in last 12 years.
I need the remastered version immediatelyyy
I’m gonna be rolling Mystic Knight, Magic Cannon isn’t gonna make framerate something I play for xD
I made a fat boy, b/c this is the only RPG that allows me to. I'll just have to suck it up
This is against the reality, in sports u see the heavier guy drain breath faster. But ok for a game?
this is the only game i constantly go back to.. im an acheivement/trophy hunter whore.... but this is the ONLY game where i have 100% it on both xbox and ps but i STILL play it... skyrim once i got every acheivement i dont even bother... but i am sorry i am not making a fat character just for extra stats :P
All this info just ma!e what you like if your good at the game non of this matters to be honest
buff loli pawn
So, 1 pound = 0.453592 KG, right? If I said "this character weighs 7.375293 KG", could you tell how many pounds that is right away? I wish people use normal (and reasonable) measurements, not kilograms or kilometers.
But that's a gripe for a different topic, not really relevant to the point of the video, which is good by the way.
KidAnime20 The whole World uses Kg and Km as Measurement... why don't go for the Type of Measurement everybody uses;)
You know why I don't. I just explained it.
KidAnime20 1 And 1 Kg is literally 1 Kg ;)
