Love this! As a microcosm fueled by love and passion for the craft. History plays a multifaceted role by serving as a benchmark and inspiration for the future. And to that cheers...
Coming to this video quite late, but certainly worth watching. (Thank you!) As a craft bartender--and, no, NEVER "mixologist"!--I have to say that the thing I just do not get from others like you who so vehemently go to bat for our trade: what is your deal with "telling a story"??? Forget the damn story and just focus on what is IN THE GLASS--be it beer, wine, sake, spirit or cocktail! What is all this nonsense of customers coming in and wanting to hear some story about what's in their glass? Just drink something amazing... appreciate it for what it is, on its own merits... and without expectation. If you want a great drink, go to a great bar. If you want a story, go to the library. If you want both, bring your book, order a drink and sit in the corner seat! Drink mindfully and let everything else fade away....

A huge thank you for posting this and touching on points I won't find on silly buzzfeed cocktail videos etc. This is wonderfully presented!

Just an FYI...there are female craft bartenders as well. Thought it was worth acknowledging.
