Awsome and informative video, thank you. We are making the crossing during our yearly trip to the Keys. Our launching point will be from Key West. What was your fuel consumption?
Glad it was helpful. The Frigate gets around 2 miles/gallon
After checking forecast of course, do you think a 24’ pathfinder would easily make the run from key west?

What's your wind/wave threshold for making the crossing? Looks like about 1.5 hours from the shallows fo the Marquesas to the fort... how is that stretch? Probably going in a week or two. Thanks!
Hey William, it kind of all depends on the wind and wave directions and wave period. Down in the keys you can get some really long wave periods so can be in 3-4’s and it doesn’t seem bad. Just big rollers. But have had similar with short periods and it was not a comfortable ride.
Time wise, similar story. We did the ride once when it was line glass and made it from KW to the Fort in two hours. But you definitely hit some open water once you pass the quicksands so always keep that in mind.
