Oh, man, I love your taste tester as he represents the millions and millions of children who went before him and shudder at the thought of having to eat the bitter melon soup. LOL! I HATED this soup growing up and would not touch it for about 20 years. Now that I am practically middle aged, I almost crave it. I think my tastebuds started changing in my 30s where I veered away from sweet things and tend towards more bitter things. I don't know if I can truly eat this now, but I almost crave it...or at least crave trying it again. LOL! I'm surprised your baby ate the broth and the meat. Bitterness is something young children can detect very easily. Any way, thank you so much for this great video.
Oh, your cute baby making me hungry for bitter melon soup! I was introduced to this soup by my Thai friend several years ago. I had bitter melon and chicken stir fry yesterday, but tomorrow, I'll make this soup. Thanks for sharing.
I'm so excited to make this for my boyfriend and son! My son is half Vietnamese and I'm so thankful for your videos they are so simple can't wait to make this for them.
Hahaha, that was a very honest review in the end. Yummy soup and stuffing, not so much for the bitter melon but we all learn to like it eventually. Thanks for posting. :)
"Once you get used to it, its quiet i addictivr" i wish i knew that before i started cause ive had it everyday for 3 weeks and still tryna find different recipes
My kids used to take out the stuffing and eat too. lol Of course we don't use bitter melon but grape leaves or pickled cabbage, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant in Armenia
Wow.... He is a good boy to eat that much of it. I recall not touching that with a 12 ft pole when I was his age :)BTW, nice recipe... Got to try it. I usually do the Chinese way with pork and dried muscles. This looks more appealing and tasty :)
