Vogg, the lead guitarist and founding member of Decapitated, is master at the guitar and a pioneer in technical death metal. He is recognizable for the almost ethereal sound to his riffs. He started Decapitated with his brother (who unfortunately passed away in an accident), when they were in their teens. And he is still going strong in 2022.
Saw decapitated live this year in a real small venue this year here in Porto. They were great. I hope to have the opportunity to see them at better venue! Curiously I just recently saw Fear Factory at Resurrection Fest, and they were equaly great. Never traced that connection, but now that you mentioned it!! Tatiana is Tatiana...
He's actually in drop tuning- I've been devouring some of his interviews and clinics lately. I like the approach though- basically a baritone with extended high range.
Poland is amazing! I'm Swedish and often come over to Poland for live shows because the crowds in Sweden is a bit tame and you have plenty of good local metal bands that don't tour.
You should check out "Lions At The Gate ft. Tatiana - Find My Way"! It just come out a few days ago! Lions at the gate is the new band consisting of former original vocalist and guitarists of "ill niño" don't know if you've ever heard of them, they been around since 2001! I believe their most popular song was called "how can I live" from their 2nd album "confession" & was one of the main tracks from the motion picture soundtrack of "Freddy vs. Jason"! But anyhoo yeah mates check that shit out! Lions at the gate ft Tatiana, she uses both cleans and growls in this one! Cheers!
Tatiana brought me here...happy she is getting more exposure, happy she is helping another band get more exposure, and think she did wonderful as expected...however, under using her is the challenge any feature of her is going to face, and IMHO they truly underused her talents...I come to this conclusion after having viewed Lions at the Gate: Find My Way, ft Tatiana and how they used her...which IMHO again was the best maximizing of her while not totally handing everything over to her, that I have seen so far. I am a Heavy Metal old guy who isn't so much into Death Metal...so take my opinion with a grain of salt. If not for Jinjer and Tatiana, I doubt I would climb into this genre much(not saying Jinjer are death metal). I could easily find myself clipping the video parts of her in this song out, and throwing that to a Jinjer track that doesn't have a great video already, getting what connects to me out of this video.
Death metal is neither of our preferred styles of metal. I’m sure there are plenty of bands you don’t know the back catalogue of. Here’s a tip, just enjoy some free content of music fans sharing and discussing music instead of being an elitist.

Unsure if you knew, but the lead guitarist in Decapitated, Vogg, is the new lead in Machine Head you saw in their new track.

Vogg plays a 7 string, tuned to B standard (6 string standard tuning with a B on top)
