Judging by the vocals you like, All That Remains would be right up your street. Listen to Not alone or This Calling. Also, can't believe you've not listened to Iron Maiden yet 😒 a staple of any heavy metal diet
All that remains for sure, tracks like This calling Focus shall not fail Six Forever In your hands This probably won't end well are solid ones, or just anything from the fall of ideals
I'm so sorry I didn't upload yesterday! Here is a death metal band to make up for it ;) and Chuck, you are the man! stay strong baby!! lessgetit. i love you Hefnerds so damn much! WOOO!!
I'm glad you said that, because I tried spelling his name several times and couldn't get it right xP he's incredible! I used to watch his videos all the time back in like 2010 =D My favourite vid has to be the one with the simplistic drum setup, jamming out (with wood stacked in the background).
Hey Chuck, thanks for suggesting a mega hard song, one of the better out there, hope health is with you metalbro, cheers. and Heffff, check out Meshuggah, Future breed machine, like now..
Thank you for the kind words my friend, and you are most welcome for the suggestion. Unfortunately, my condition is worsening, as i have to have three toes amputated on my right foot in September. But all will be alright. I have the United States Marine spirit in my heart. \m/
I fucking love decapitated. This album was recorded with Krimh Lechner behind the drums, and he's one of my favorites. The next song off the album, 404 is awesome as well, I would recommend you give it a listen. also check out Dimmu Borgir - Hybrid stigmata off another great album
Great reaction Alex, love watching you delve into new genres and really start appreciating the nuances rather than just take it at face value. Also that crazy, rapid explosion of sound coming from the drummer during the solo... that's his feet! Yeah, mental.
So happy to see you react to such a heavy song. These boys don’t play... try some Cattle Decapitation or Dying Fetus next. I think u will like Dying Fetus - In the Trenches best.
Decapitated is one of the best technical death metal bands, in my opinion, what they did on their first albums is unbelievable masterpiece. Also they did a bit change of their style through the time - if you compare "Nihility", "Homo Sum" and the song "Earth Scar" from their last album, they became a more groove-oriented band, but still so crazy. P.S. The drummer's name is Krimh, now he's playing in symphonic death metal band from Greece - Septic Flesh
the Drummer is Krimh Krim. he actually has an awesome youtube channel. And because of his amazing channel he had so many bands asking him to play drums for them. Check out his channel!!! he has two solo albums. he plays all the instruments. he's a BEAST!!!!
I'm a musicologist from germany and I really love your videos :) Just wrote an article for the Silence Magazin about your channel :) I also would recommend you two bands. One is Fallujah ("The Void Alone" is a good song) and Insmomnium ("Lose to Night"). Keep on rocking! :)
First comment for the win!!! And yeah you seen that right lol. It was an Easter Egg of sorts they added into the video lol. Thank you so much for reacting to this man. And the tribute you gave me in the beginning, actually had me in tears man. thank you so much!
Hey man, I notice you comment on the drumming a lot and was thinking it'd be interesting to see you react to Krimh's drum playthrough of his song 'Destroy Replace Create' to see the kind of intensity that goes into playing this sort of stuff. Coincidentally he also used to play drums for Decapitated, he's actually the drummer you see in this video
Lucifer Sasquatch Same here dude! I was a fan of Strapping Young Lad when I was younger, but had no idea that that was the same vocalist. Lately, as a guitar player, I've been a fan of EMG pickups. I seen "EMG" in the title and instantly clicked. I haven't been the same since! Devin is a true master of his craft.
I really like the frantic playing in the background along with the very mellow and (to begin with) simplistic soloing. Very interesting contrast and I love stuff like that you don't hear all the time
I wish that were true, but unfortunately, RSDS is a degenerative disease. It will continually get worse, until it claims my life. But while i am still breathing, i will continue to fight. \m/
Stay strong Chuck! Your fellow metal heads are here for you. Alex I agree with your reaction, really hard and heavy, but not an everyday listen. I'm a sucker for melody.
Nice reaction man! I actually saw Decapitated opening for Meshuggah this week in Cracow. I'm suprised you haven't reacted to some Meshuggah yet. They're an amaizing band.
Love to you Chuck xx thank you for some Decapitated. Coming from someone with multiple chronic health problems, there are just as many good days as bad. Focus on what you love xx
Alex, you are a good hearted person! I saw that today! besides, you are a metalhead!!🤘 Chuck keep your head up!!! We hefnerds strengthen your back and give you good energy! I think of every reaction video from Alex, also to you! Love from Austria! 🤘💕
It is nearly impossible to be not entertained while watching you getting overwhelmed by new impressions. Thank you for sharing them with us. Go on, there is much more to explore. If you want, try these: The Browning - Ashamed Emil Bulls - The Ninth Wave Hackneyed - Damn (You're dead again) A Perfect Circle - Pet
You want screaming plus clear vocals? -> Dark Tranquillity Songs you might want to try out: - Atoma - Misery's Crown - Freecard - Auctioned - Endtime Hearts (from the top of my head)
Fernando Jimenez hell yeah! I suggested Still Remains- Recovery, and 36 Crazyfists _Slitwrist Theory! Can't believe I forgot COAL CHAMBER! (Face palm) oh oh.... Atreyu- Ain't Love Grand , to start:)
Hang in there Chuck! In my opinion, you couldn’t have chosen a better TH-cam reaction channel to follow that has a strong family to stick by your side. You aren’t alone in what you’re going through. We may not have the same health issues etc, but we’re here for you and are supporting you and cheering you on 110%. The Hefnerds are your family brother!
Alex, I always love it when you include funny video snippets but this time kudos to you for giving your support to Chuck with that awesome Chuck Norris clip. That genuinely made me smile. And Chuck, you stay strong!
Everybody reacts to popular metal/metalcore bands, finally somebody to react to some more great not some popular bands outside metal community. CUDOS to you Alex, keep on the good stuff!
I don't personally know you Chuck, but I love you man. I myself have an incurable disease and gather strength from all types of metal music. Decapitated is also one of my faves including their song Invisible Control. Anyway, keep up your optimism and stay rockin. Everything will be fine.
You haven’t really listened to Decapitated till you heard Spheres of Madness. Also, Decapitated was my first ever concert I went. I was absolutely blown away. They guys killed it. If you have a chance to see them, go! I recommend it.
You’ll probably also love Between the Buried and Me. They are great at balancing growling and clean vocals, not to mention the musicianship is astounding.
Must admit that I would only really listen to decapitated style metal at work or pre club/gig but then again I'm more power metal myself .. Speaking of DragonForce? Cool vids man and chuck you keep well brother keep the faith \"/
Great reaction! I've been watching yiur channel for a bit and you are long overdue for a Megadeth reaction. You've probably gotten a lot of requests for Holy Wars but I would recommend Good Mourning/Black Friday from their 2nd album. It starts out slow but builds up to an incredible climax
Hi Alex , thanks for the shout out to Poland :) Love your videos. Can you do Arch Enemy - The World is Yours or The Eagle Flies Alone? Wait until you gear the female vocals there :)
Heres a new one for u and i think is right up ur alley.... Demon Hunter: Fading away They are a Christian Metal band and their songs are amazing! They are a VERY UNDERRATED band... Give it a try
Jeff Pearce haha dont worry. He has LOTS of Request and Comments to read. Its understandable that he might not notice some of us. But well just keep trying XD. Glad i found 1 more person selling him Demon Hunter XD. Collapse is a good song for him too.
SUCH A GREAT SONG fading away is the song that got me into metal and honestly demon Hunter is one of the most consistently good bands I have ever heard, every album is really good and contains such a variety of styles of songs. While I don't listen to them much nowadays as my taste in metal has branched out so I still love them so much.
Dude, you are really awsome, great reactions and even better opinion on sharing and caring within a community. Love the way you react to/with us, and that you are really caring about those watching your vids!
Keep it up Chuck, one of the best abilities we humans has is the ability to adapt! On the other side, I absolutely love the new take Decapitated has on their newest album. It is so groovy and melodic and catchy.. just give Decapitated another chance Alex and have a listen to Earth Scar or Never. The production is one of the best I`ve heard from a metal band, although the vocals is the same.
Thanks for being such a positive influence! It is nice to see someone truly care about their supporters. Love all the work and memes you put into your videos, keep up the good work!(: Also I think it would be cool to do a "underground artist" reaction video. Just reacting to smaller bands or artists who don't get commented a lot, just an idea. Just something like once a week (:
I have a list of songs i would love to see a reaction to for certain reasons. Please please react to "the promise" by in this moment, this song has an amazing duet "excuse me" by fire from the gods, this song mixes metal and rap from a Jamaican singer "one hand killing" by twelve foot Ninja, this song is just so baby genres mixed in metal it's so unique "fade into the ash" by bleeding through, it's off their first album coming out since 7 years ago "Rebirth" by eluveitie, this is folk metal... Nothing like you've ever heard before it will blow you away "Doomsday" by architects is just an amazing song with great riffs and a great mix of screaming and cleans, they wrote this in dedication to their lead guitarist that passed away And finally "pattern in pain" by phinehas, all around an amazing song but the solo in it is so intense my list keeps growing, please please knock one or 2 off my list
Quickly prepared list you can easily check on YT with copy-pasting names: - KAT "Oddech Wymarłych Światów" album. KAT is old polish thrash band and one of very best polish metal classics recording since 1980. Lyrics are in polish but a guy with love for relics would take that hit. Believe me, there is no imaginable number of litres of cheap polish wine drunk while singing those songs on parties. - TSA, one of first heavy metal bands in Poland if not the very first. Probably search engine will show upmost some ballads, but you can listen to those and search for more. - Frontside, metalcore band. - Tides from Nebula, post-metal/rock band. - KRES "Na Krawędziach Nocy" album, atmospheric black metal. - Stworz, pagan metal band. - Nocny Kochanek (Night Mistress), heavy/glam metal but knowing meaning of those polish lyrics is key to understand whole band. They are making fun of metalheads life and so on. It's more like a parody of heavy metal but with very good instrumentals.
list from me: - hunter (trash/heavy metal) songs: kiedy umieram, TELI, imperium uboju - turbo (hard rock/heavy metal) songs: kawaleria szatana(whole album), dorosłe dzieci - illusion. i'm not a fan but they are pretty popular here -Percival Schuttenbach. folk metal with great violin lead
Regeman100 & BuddhaInTheBushes, thank you. I haven't checked out everything you two listed yet but so far it's been worth it. I knew from the bass guitar in the intro that Kat "Glos z ciemnosci" would be great. I'll have to hear more of them. Thanks again.
Good sir, I love the channel. Please react to a genre of metal you haven't explored yet called Mathcore. Try: Protest the Hero - Drumhead Trial or Animal Bones The Dillinger Escape Plan - Prancer
Im a metal drummer and playing this kind of metal is really fun to play. Especially this song particularly. It takes a very long time learning how to drum like this. But when you are able to play like that its actually really fun. it does eventually burn to play this fast for this long but you just gotta play through it.
Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
Our metal bands:
-Hunter
-Behemoth (Badass music videos)
-Riverside
-Vader
-Kat
-Mgła
I love Hunter but I would disagree with statement that HUNTER is a polish RAMMSTEIN.
shinovskyy he needs to hear Behemoth asap
yes behemoth - ov fire and the void, for example
Damn, maybe he needs some Riverside for Prog Metal? :D
Don't forget HATE seriously underrated blackened deathmetal.
Spheres of madness is a good one by them too
Yeah
Or Instinct
Yeas. The Nihility album has the most crunchy and the most tight of sound.
Possibly the best one
You Cant Call Yourself A Hip-Hop Head Anymore
joel olsson facts
But does this sound good “Metal Head reacts to Metal” lol
One of us, one of us!
He is definitively not a Metal Head....
joel olsson I agree with you 💯!!! 🤘
Alex is one of us!!!!
Judging by the vocals you like, All That Remains would be right up your street. Listen to Not alone or This Calling. Also, can't believe you've not listened to Iron Maiden yet 😒 a staple of any heavy metal diet
stuart rose all that remains will indeed be a sweet band fpr him
Yes , Not alone :)
Glad Alex has now added Iron Maiden to the list. Surely ATR in a week 😉
All that remains for sure, tracks like

Focus shall not fail
Six
Forever In your hands
This probably won't end well
are solid ones, or just anything from the fall of ideals
I agree either focus shall not fail or two weeks.

Alex Hefner deathcore*
*Death Metal. Stfu.
mrepicman611 games Decapitated is death metal, not deathcore.

"Poland you're awesome" You too, Alex :D
Behemoth is another Polish band that you should listen to!

I'm trying my friend. Thank you for the support!
The drummer is Kerim 'Krimh' Lechner.... He's an awesome drummer you should check out some of his vids with just him drumming in the studio.....
leoevs441. He is a beast.
I'm glad you said that, because I tried spelling his name several times and couldn't get it right xP
he's incredible! I used to watch his videos all the time back in like 2010 =D
My favourite vid has to be the one with the simplistic drum setup, jamming out (with wood stacked in the background).
leoevs441 He's the drummer for Decapitated? I've watch his videos but never knew this.
mike pk666 he's also the drummer for Septicflesh and he's drummed for Behemoth....
It's not him, he quit the band like 4 years ago...
WHAT UP CHUCK!!!!! I hope you get to feeling better dude. Keep fighting man.
The word quit is not in my vocabulary. You have my word, brother. \m/
Hey Chuck, thanks for suggesting a mega hard song, one of the better out there, hope health is with you metalbro, cheers.

You're awesome, Alex. You have such a kind, caring soul.
Hope you're keeping your head up, Chuck.

Shout out to Chuck. Hope you’re doing okay. You know the metal community has each other’s back. We’re all pulling for you
rob Howard a very strong community
Architects - Doomsday
Hopefully he’ll react to this! I’m been pushing for that track too
Jimmy C, yes I really hope so to. Architects are freaking great. I think they would rock his boat as well. As seen from previous appeals in general.
please!
I fucking love decapitated. This album was recorded with Krimh Lechner behind the drums, and he's one of my favorites. The next song off the album, 404 is awesome as well, I would recommend you give it a listen.
also check out Dimmu Borgir - Hybrid stigmata off another great album
You really need to do Insomnium - While We Sleep
Chen Konsam omg yes!

Great reaction Alex, love watching you delve into new genres and really start appreciating the nuances rather than just take it at face value. Also that crazy, rapid explosion of sound coming from the drummer during the solo... that's his feet! Yeah, mental.

DONT listen to Neverbloom straight away, that song is something else.
Everybody reacts to popular metal/metalcore bands, finally somebody to react to some more great not some popular bands outside metal community. CUDOS to you Alex, keep on the good stuff!

- Stworz, pagan metal band.
- Nocny Kochanek (Night Mistress), heavy/glam metal but knowing meaning of those polish lyrics is key to understand whole band. They are making fun of metalheads life and so on. It's more like a parody of heavy metal but with very good instrumentals.
list from me:
- hunter (trash/heavy metal)
songs: kiedy umieram, TELI, imperium uboju
- turbo (hard rock/heavy metal)
songs: kawaleria szatana(whole album), dorosłe dzieci
- illusion. i'm not a fan but they are pretty popular here
-Percival Schuttenbach. folk metal with great violin lead
Regeman100 & BuddhaInTheBushes, thank you. I haven't checked out everything you two listed yet but so far it's been worth it. I knew from the bass guitar in the intro that Kat "Glos z ciemnosci" would be great. I'll have to hear more of them. Thanks again.
Obscure Sphinx, check them, first song i ever heard from them was Nastinez, very good band

Jesse Miller 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Dragonforce - Through the Fire and Flames
Keep strong Chuck, a lot of love dude! 🤘🥁
Good sir, I love the channel. Please react to a genre of metal you haven't explored yet called Mathcore. Try:
Protest the Hero - Drumhead Trial or Animal Bones
The Dillinger Escape Plan - Prancer
Jonathon Butler he ain’t ready for Dillinger 😂
Justin Brown He's ready. I wanna see the look on his face.
If he reacts to Dillinger, he needs to start with something like Parasitic Twins. Prancer is throwing him off the deep end. 😂
Jen G Never gonna learn to swim going wading.
Im a metal drummer and playing this kind of metal is really fun to play. Especially this song particularly. It takes a very long time learning how to drum like this. But when you are able to play like that its actually really fun. it does eventually burn to play this fast for this long but you just gotta play through it.
