John Goblikon is a funny fuck. They have a youtube interview show called "Right Now" on their channel. The goblin who is a comedian interviews celebs and jfc it's funny. Listen to other songs, but know his vocals are intended to sound like a "goblin". I'm a little drunk right now, and excited you are doing a reaction of this. Please do more Nekrogoblikon!
Man I love this band, listen to them nearly daily while walking the dog. I think of them as a bunch of goblins just trying to make it in this human world (aren't we all). Their sound reminds me a little of Mr Bungle, and combined with their Primus-like storytelling lyrics they just really float my boat. I'd be hard pressed to give a favourite song but the Welcome to Bonkers album gets played a lot. Stoked for the new album, gonna be a good April!

I LOVE this band. They get kind of overlooked at times because of the "gimmick" and the silliness, but, they're a SERIOUSLY tight band, they're whole Goblin theme just works for me. Their album Heavy Meta is a whole concept album that kind of tells the story of the band. Its FANTASTIC. You have to read the lyrics along with it though, dude crams a lot of words into small spaces, you tend to miss a lot

Ayy I remember first hearing these guys from a compilation video of bears rolling down hill, set to a song they did about bears - the breakdown is essentially just him screaming "bears" over and over again. Great stuff, definitely recommend that one Anyway, loved seeing your expectations/reactions to this when I knew what sort of thing was coming! I do agree, the growly vocals don't always quite gel with the instrumental all the time, and the goblin gimmick for me at least wears thin quite quickly - that being said, this song sounded a lot more mature (musically) than the other songs by them I know, and the music clip was just *so* incredibly fun! Not a band to put on playlists but a great band to put on during a road trip to confuse your friends. PS. If you guys aren't already planning to, I'd recommend checking out some of Magnolia Park's stuff; they just put a music video up for their song 'Kids Like Me' it's got a nice "nü-punk" vibe to it :)

This song is a very misleading intro track to the band. I mean yes and no. They have a progressive element to their music but usually more fast tempo. Also the goblin is hilarious.
