@tariqjoseph3562 I might be too big of an Ali fan. I've watched a lot of Ali footage, i.e. interviews, documentaries, the movie that he starred in. And watched most of his fights. Plus his appearances on talk shows. So I might be too critical. But this guy in this movie couldn't capture Ali's presence and charisma. Maybe to a casual fan, he pulled it off. But not for me. Like I said to each their own. I don't think they wanted Ali's character over shadowing the star and focus of the film, which is obviously George Foreman.

I loved this scene. That Muhammad Ali could have such a strong presence in a movie that was not even about him says what a larger than life man he really was. When George asked him for forgiveness, he didn't understand at first since he had beaten him. But when George explained it to him I truly think he did understand. Even though he wasn't a Christian he understood. Which in my view makes it all the more a shame he never accepted Jesus as George did. George was a great fighter and is a great man. A better fighter? No. They could have fought ten times and Ali would win all ten. Even George knows this.
@ I disagree. George wasn’t smart in his fight against Ali. Mohamed Ali was very smart. The rope-a-dope was only going to work one time and it did! Strength, power, stamina, and everything g else that mattered was in George Foreman’s favour. I think George was arrogant and so full of hate that he couldn’t think or see what was happening. In fairness to George, no one could see what was happening until those final moments when Ali danced off the ropes and took advantage of a very tired Foreman who had punched Ali’s guts into pulp. Mohamed Ali would have never won a second fight against George Foreman. But there never was a second one because George was done with boxing after that fight. That is partly what makes the George Foreman story so interesting and powerful. George (and Ali) could have made a lot of money from a second fight. George was willing to walk away from all that for the sake of his own soul and for his relationship with God. Maybe I’m wrong about the boxing (I don’t think so) but George walked away from a fortune to hang up the gloves.
