- In this video I show you how to set up and install a Cricut explore air 2. I then show you the basics of design space including attach, weld, contour, slice, print then cut, calibrating your machine for print then cut, and using the curve text feature as well as downloading and uploading svg files and downloading and installing fonts!!

My grandson got this machine as a gift, I have the original Cricut Personal Cutter. He asked me to help him set up his Cricut Explore Air 2, I needed help to help him so I found you.
Now, my questions to you are if I set it up on my computer but use his info for his computer will we be able to go in to design space and make the starter project from my comp? Will we have to set it up with both our info for both comp locations, email etc. for him to use later at home. I'm in the dark here. Another question, can we have the Explore cut out his own designs not the preset ones, he wants to design tee shirts, etc. HELP!
Shay Marie hi Shay! You only need to make one account and then he can sign in anywhere! He can go back and do the sample project, I’m not at my computer to give the exact steps but I can get them for you! As to your second question, he can absolutely cut his own designs! He will need a file in SVG format to cut in layers. If he is interested in a Facebook group to help him learn, I help moderate the Cricut Design Space Facebook group, he can send a request and put my name down for where he heard about the group and I’ll make sure he gets all the help he needs!

Hi. I bought my cricut explore air 2. I live in Dubai my agent advised me to buy a voltage transformer. However, it is written in the adapter that is has INPUT 110-240V? which confuses me. i cannot plug it yet until now. I dont know if I will buy a voltage transformer or not. Please help
Michelle Punzal i would contact a local electrician, i am not familiar with how voltage differs on other countries so contacting your local electrician will be your safest bet!

Thank you for your video. Any suggestions using the cricut explorer 2, I’m having trouble with the blade not making deep enough cut for HTV. I put the dial on iron on . Should I get a deep cut blade or use the leather setting. Thank you
You’re welcome! What brand and type of iron on are you using? Do you have the shiny side down on your mat?

Use the every day iron on setting!
Great information, but it’s almost impossible to follow because we can’t see your cursor on the screen. Also VERY distracting movie going on in the top left corner of your screen 🙁
Hello ma'am, thank you for this video! I was reading some reviews on Amazon about this machine breaking, being buggy and a bunch of other stuff going wrong with it. Have you had any problems like that at all? 👍
Steven Baughman hello! This machine is newer but i have the explore air 1 that’s about a year and a half old that I’ve never had a problem with and i also have a maker that I’ve had for about 8 months also without issue! Most issues I’ve seen are internet or computer related. I have great internet and a good computer, i also use google chrome which is the browser cricut recommends and i never have issues!

I was wondering why Critcut only give two weeks FREE from time of installation? I like to set my up my machine now and have it ready for use but I know I will not be able to focus on trying projects because I am having to work a great deal. If you live in the DFW you see our stores are closing.
Waneva Cook you can call Cricut directly and ask them about that (877-7CRICUT) i don’t know if it can be paused or held off on but they would be the ones to ask!
After 2 free weeks can you make your own designs and use the device?
KELVIN SMINGUS after the 2 free weeks you have the option to pay for the subscription. There are monthly and yearly options. You can also get free designs, fonts and images from other places and use though.
How much does the design space cost after the free trial?

Gabrielle Bookhardt there is no better brand per se but Cricut does have minimum requirements that you should definitely aim to exceed. Here’s their requirements
