Yes, I have a tablet and i just got me cricut and you need to use bluetooth. Just look in TH-cam on how to do it. I'm kinda scared to use mine because my mom said she lost the receipt and I dont want to ruin it.
Hey Evelyn and Angy! Yes you can use the mobile app and the very best thing you can do for yourself is jump in. If you are cutting cardstock and adhesive vinyl, you (virtually) cannot break the machine. A few bad cuts will be just a drop in the bucket to all the awesomeness you will learn! ---Becky
I just got my explore air 2 and it is very intimidating and confusing with all the different materials to get ...I have been trying to watch videos but it is so overwhelming and idk if I need a printer on top of my machine since it seems like the design space can do whatever you want

I have to agree with Evelyn. Feeling totally out of my depth. I'm an older lady and computers are not at the top of my easy peasy list. I think I would have felt a great deal more comfortable with a written instruction book as well as these videos. So glad I found this otherwise I might have ended up with a very expensive space taker. Still lots of things that make no sense to me. Hoping it gets clearer.

My only concerns are that I am not very good with computers and that I have a lot of cartridges that I love. This looks like something I could also get a lot of home use out of (my OCD is thinking of all the thinks I could make labels large enough for us seniors to read). 1st tip is valuable. I bought one from Walmart. Noticed it leaked something out of box. Opened it up it was full of hair and something spilled all inside it. I sat all night waiting on 6am to return it worried to death. Exchanged for one the blade wasnt round and destroyed.

Oh! You got the same bundle I did. I made a couple of fun things with that embossed paper. It's double sided so you can make an envelope with the embossed part on the inside (to match a card!) and I made boxes for coasters. I've only had it about a month and I really love it. Enjoy! Hey Grammy! You should have an icon on the left side of your Canvas that says Text. You will just type the text that you want and then you can change the font using the toolbar at the top of your screen (I do this after typing my text). Hope this helps! ---Becky

Don't worry, most bundles come with extras that you don't really need. I personally recommend beginners to start with Oracal 651 adhesive vinyl as it's usually inexpensive and easy to use. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Congrats on the new Cricut! There are different packages at different times, both seasonally and then based on retailer. I wouldn't worry too much about the extras in my bundle, most of the time you get a better deal and better quality materials buying the machine individually and then visiting your local vinyl store (if you have one) as they are usually a tremendous help in choosing beginner materials. My Explore Air 2 came in yesterday and my Everything bundle came today. I really wanted the Dark pink but ordered the Lilac. I bought the everything bundle becausevI couldn't pass up the $279 bundle deal.
Just got mine as well. Totally overwhelmed. I have basic questions; i.e., If I have premium - do I need/want Access or are they one in the same; does "subscribed" on images mean yes I can use? Also have broken arm so forgive typos for a few weeks. Where do I find answers like this? Just VERY basic.
The app is not available for Chromebook laptops so what other apps are suitable for downloading digital svg's and projects? Love the tutorial by the way.

Hey Natalie! The Cricut Explore cuts any color vinyl you add to your mat. It isn't a printer, but rather a cutting machine. We don't have a video especially for wall decals, but this will help as the wall decal design may be larger than the mat: th-cam.com/video/1_OsTTVfZYU/w-d-xo.html
Cartriges are something remaining from older Cricut Machines. They had collections of images on them like easter themed etc. Here is the article that can be helpful in explaining what they were almostpractical.com/what-are-cricut-cartridges/

To start making things you just need the machine and whatever type of material you want to use. So if you want to make mugs, you can use permanent vinyl to put onto the mugs! 😊

Are all the filler items different? I just ordered a bundle and I only received the machine with 1 mat.

Some Cricut machines come together as a bundle where as others do not.
I just got one today and I cant wait to use it 🙂 did all those tools and vinyls come with the machine? Cause mine only came with the mat, the pen and 3 very small card stocks
Congrats on the new Cricut! There are different packages at different times, both seasonally and then based on retailer. I wouldn't worry too much about the extras in my bundle, most of the time you get a better deal and better quality materials buying the machine individually and then visiting your local vinyl store (if you have one) as they are usually a tremendous help in choosing beginner materials. Just got mine as well. Totally overwhelmed. I have basic questions; i.e., If I have premium - do I need/want Access or are they one in the same; does "subscribed" on images mean yes I can use?
Also have broken arm so forgive typos for a few weeks. Where do I find answers like this? Just VERY basic.
Cricut Access is their subscription plan, some do call that Premium. If you have Access then you should be able to use those images. :)
The app is not available for Chromebook laptops so what other apps are suitable for downloading digital svg's and projects? Love the tutorial by the way.

Does this machine print in color? I’m wanting to buy one for wall decals. Recommend any videos for that as well?
Hey Natalie! The Cricut Explore cuts any color vinyl you add to your mat. It isn't a printer, but rather a cutting machine. We don't have a video especially for wall decals, but this will help as the wall decal design may be larger than the mat: th-cam.com/video/1_OsTTVfZYU/w-d-xo.html

What does the cartridge do? I never had a Cricut before and thinking of buying one.

To start making things you just need the machine and whatever type of material you want to use. So if you want to make mugs, you can use permanent vinyl to put onto the mugs! 😊
