A great book for every fan. A story of a young woman desired by men who sought to make her only his alone, and then nothing else. A true story of a strong woman in the midst of divorce with two young children to raise. A story of a woman who merely wanted to be her own person and found her way. A story of a person I admire. I'm talking about Kate Mullgrew who could only bring us Captain Janeway as we know her, because only she could do it.
Yes! Let us not forget the first female Captain in the Star Trek series. She is now Star Trek Royalty, out of all the roles she's done , she shall always be the Queen of Star Trek. Kate Mulgrew leads by example, be brave, be true and make damn sure you're able because you have to be when it really counts. You have to be because nothing else is acceptable.

The person who said he or she "couldn't stand more than 10 minutes because of the interviewer" missed a LOT! 😃 I say Kate recognized the situation & carried them both, & then came the audience questions!!
For a much better interview of Ms. Mulgrew, listen to Diane Rehm interview the actress on her show. Unfortunately, I could only get through 10 minutes of this, this...."chat" because the "interviewer" was so horrendously awlful.
Why do Americans insist on saying that they are Irish, when they weren't born in Ireland, nor have they lived there for any decent stretch? It's all very faux romantic. No American says "I'm English" if that was their blood background, nor does anyone from a certain descent in Australia say that they are Italian or Irish. They just say they are Australian. Quite pretentious to claim otherwise.
Because our grandparents were and we honor them. It is not "faux" it is the way we were brought up and the "values' (hang ups) that are instilled in us.
Because America isn't an old enough country yet to have it's own cultural history and because of that, people still cling to the values of their family's cultural history.
Kate Mulgrew: Intelligent, wise and articulate in pretty much everything she has to say; I could listen to her debate the how and why all day long. Thanks for uploading.
What an eloquently spoken, intelligent and impassioned woman. Truly inspirational, not only to actors, but all who wish to be a master of their chosen craft.
Tracey, the interviewer, was as star struck by Kate as much as the audience was! She barely said anything! lol! Bless her! Kate is wonderfully gracious with those that have come to see her! She always asks what their names are when they have the mic, and addresses them so. My wish is to host a dinner party with Kate...and just eat and drink and listen to her! I wouldn't be able to get a word in edge-wise...and I'd be very happy with that! x
