I think Kate is a very deep thinker and very astute. She hit the nail on the head when she comments at the end how lovely it is to finally have the freedom to be alone in life. Solitude is the ultimate happiness and I'm so glad she found that space to just be herself.
@@leif1075 because it gives you a chance to be entirely yourself - no compromise, no apology - and some people need it to find out who exactly 'yourself' is, when stripped of obligations and expectations of others. I love being in a relationship, but I adore being alone. I understand what she means by this.
I'm in a difficult time again in my life, I like Kate have had many traumas that just seem to continue and I always find coming back to these videos of her talking ground me, she is simply sublime and incomparable
Kate Mulgrew is so talented. Her voice her story is beautiful, the story of her daughter is so beautiful am so happy they met each other and have worked on their relationship. PS. I recently read Born With Teeth and I just read the other book How to Forget. Both books are great.
I was here for this, it was the most memorable experience of my life. She's a wonderful speaker and a great storyteller. I had the opportunity to Thank her for sharing her experience with her Mother's illness. I admire her strength of spirit, her courageous spirit and her sense of humor.
