- Kate Mulgrew's appearance on the Jon Stewart show. Aired on February 10, 1995. As you may know, Kate Mulgrew portrayed Captain Kathryn Janeway for 7 years on Star Trek: Voyager.

Stunning woman there. I used to think Voyager is garbage and never watched it. Recently just started watching it on a whim and wow... IMO, it is the best Star Trek of all and Capt Janeway is my favorite captain of all.
She is terrific

I fell in love with Next Generation. Continued my journey with Deep Space Nice. Currently watching Voyager. I don't think it's as good as the other two but much better than I expected it to be.

Kate was amazing as a guest star in Cheers. Look up the episodes from late Season 4, she was stunning and a great performance.
Actually the very first episode of Voyager (Caretaker) they Voyager is AT DS9 picking up officers. So yes. Janeway was at DS9.

I think its funny that they say they wont eat. You will never see them eat. And then later in the series Nelix becomes the Chef and they have a ton of episodes about eating and food. :P

I just had noticed it was the same Jon Stewart from his comedy show. I never seen him as a young man. He was unknown in Australia in the 1990s.

Oh Voyager is painful to watch. Let's look at all of the annoying characters the program provided: Neelix, Tuvak, The Doctor, Janeway well the entire crew of the bridge and engineering.
+Sean Webb You have to be a little nerdy to like it,forget that it is all happening in a couple of rooms,and imagine there is a camera crew following the ship to film the videos of the outside,it s nerdy but the women are hot,I like it.
She looks so much like a young Kate Hepburn it's unbelievable. (yes I know she did Tea at Five, I saw it, it was amazing) But she even acts and talks like her. It's like reincarnation. She's a goddess and so was Kate Hepburn.

I have every episode of the ENTIRE 7 Seasons of Star Trek Voyager.
I love every single character on that show... Voyager is my ideal Star Trek experience.
+Ezekiel Koroisau Voyager was great. It's always been my favourite of the Star Trek tv shows. Dam shame they never got their own film.
+Ml PSH it was too good for their own good,they defeated any and all enemies that came their way,wirh a hand tied behind their backs,at the end they even made Borg their bitch,Picard got his ass kicked by Borg...I would ve loved to see a Voyager movie...but face what enemy?
Giovanni Socci haha "made the Borg their bitch". That's so true. I do love the Borg (the best villains) but part of their scariness was how unfathomably powerful and unbeatable they are. When the crew got Seven on their side, the Borg became less scary because they always had a way to beat them (usually using Seven's knowledge/technology in some way)
I love Kate Mulgrew and her Captain Janeway. She's so smart and funny.
She was so gorgeous, elegant and just really beautiful, I luv her eyes and her eyebrows the shape of them she has the most divine smile.

I like Jon Stewart but at this point in his development he couldn't keep up with her. She is way out of his league. He is a 13-year-old boy at the grown up party who has just been introduced for the first time to an adult woman he's not related to.

It was just to promote the new show to a new, younger audience. They chose the wrong character to do the interview. Love Captain Janeway, but they should have brought in the younger actors.

She was good, but the setup with Crusher-Mother/Son was better for the story and for the overall cast.
If she did the 1st season nobody would have asked for better.

I enjoy how she channels Katerine Hepburn. Tho' the show was slow, at first, things started cooking in the 2nd season. If I were to deside what I would HATE about the ending of VOY, it would be that Janeway and Chakotay never got together. I liked the idea of 70f9 being happy, but just not with Chakotay.
I'm with thebakerman1 - Voyager is EASILY my favorite Trek series! For one thing, they have a clear goal ( getting home ) which they actually ACHIEVE in the end! As such, the series has a strong and satisfying conclusion, unlike, for instance TNG, where in the last episode they just "fly off into the sunset" to go God knows where. Also, I think the crew had the best rapport of any Trek crew, very human and genuine. And yes, I'll say it - SEXY Captain! (Hubba-Hubba!) What's NOT to like?

It's starting to get that way! I am almost 30 and am considering on going back to school as a graduate student. I have a few friends who are in their lower 20s and it's starting to become alarming when I make references to Rockos Modern Life or the band Garbage and I am given back a blank stare. It's horrifying haha!
