finally a crochet shorts tutorial that doesn't assume that a starting chain can somehow cling to my waist and be able to fit my hips at the same length!
im making these shorts right now. i love that there are no increases and decreases. easy to follow! cant wait until im finished with my shorts. thank you for sharing.
So cute Erin my daughters would all love a pair and my granddaughters. Who to give to first to make everyone jealous will be a tough decision. 😂 I will have to get some elastic string or I cord first and whatever Yarn. Can’t wait to make them. 😢
I'm also going to do this to a skirt I started last winter. Even though I measured and test fit it while I was making the waist bant, it ended up really big as the yarn settled as I started making the body of the skirt. I'm just going to start stiches on the inside of the bottom of the waist band and work my way up. And on the last row put in the plastic band. ❤ this is such a saver for me because I like to wear things at my hips, not my waist. This will allow it to stay on and and still look normal
Thanks for the tutorial! Love ur videos first off lol 💕. I may have to give this a try. I’ve made shorts before but felt like I couldn’t get them over my butt so I frogged it. This seems simple enough for me to follow and I guess I have to just finish it all the way through. 😅
Thx for making the video! Very clear explanation. I follow your tutorial and made 2 shorts. But both of them ended up being way too big. Can anybody explain what I did wrong😢
My first time working it up after a few rows I noticed mine were too big as well. I re did it with a smaller starting chain and tried it on every few rows
Hello! The other shorts you made the stripe one, how much yds did you use and which yarn? I'm asking because I have leftover fine yarn and I was thinking to use 3.5mm hook but I really don't know if it is going to be enough. I'm a size small Excellent tutorial I have already watched it 😍
This is my second time making these shorts and every time when I try them on I get a v on the top of the ass. They don’t sit straight does anybody have any tips for me?

Hi!! For the striped shorts I used fingering weight yarn from Alize Diva, and a 3.5mm! Same exact pattern except I changed colors every 2 rows ❤️
for the black and gray stripes, did you do 2 rows for each color for the 17 row body or was it different? thanks!!
The striped one was made with fingering weight so the total rows were different but the length is the same (7.5ish inches) before the crotch 💖
❤❤❤❤ cutesy ❤❤❤

heyy, how long was the elastic you used?
it was the circumference of my waist with negative ease for stretchiness ~ 22 inches!

But where can i get that elastic? 😢
Anywhere they sell sewing equipment
joann, michaels, any craft store & amazon!
Ooo I just cut up so old sleeping shorts of mine to get the elastic out. And it’s already my size too ☺️

I forgot to add I have a small bum so that is having me more confused
Try adding 2-3 short rows in the back
Can you do this with a single crochet?
Sure!
Hi!! 💖
This doesn’t work for those who have big bums 😬
immediately casting on 😂🩵
YESS this is the energy I live for 😘
