thank you for how simply you communicate math and ratios (in both this video and your raglan sweater one). also not a pattern-follower generally, so it's so helpful to hear about the general rules in an intuitive way, and see how they translate to the finished project!
I’ve always skipped the swatch bc it was so confusing but THIS WAS THE MOST HELPFUL WAY UVE SEEN you explained it pretty well and thorough THANK YOU SO MUCH
i’m a crochet-er first so your videos have been a godsend when it comes to cutie patterns i can learn from as i go. ALSO! you’re so!! gorg and every time i watch you my bf and i are in disbelief you’re not aubrey plaza herself loolll. thx for the tut bae you’re killin it ❤
i’m so glad u like the videos ☺️ it is hard to switch between knitting brain and crocheting brain but once u get the hang of it it’s soooo amazing! thank u so much for the kind words 🤍 hehe
When picking up stitches at seams, I would pretend like I dropped a stitch, and do the same thing I would with a dropped stitch. This helps to prevent the holes.
I'm kind of new to knitting. Do you mind if I ask you to explain it a bit more? Or maybe you know a video here on TH-cam where it's explained. It would be really helpful!
I’ve literally been following ur ig for soooo freakin long and never knew you had a channel??!!! I luuuuvvvvv all the knit stuff you do and I’m so excited to do these shorts!! Yayyyy thank u for making vids
LOVE ALL UR VIDEOS!!! I’m a crocheter but you’ve inspired me to learn how to knit! Just bought my first pair of knitting needles… wish me luck :-) xoxo
i love the colour combo you used! also unrelated but the throw you have on your sofa looks like the blanket from that selena gomez meme that's been going around lol
I made these and love just bought more yarn to nake like 3 more pairs lol also you’re so pretty you remind me of Sydney Sweeney so much like the way you talk too❤
My waist is 30, my upper hip is 34, so since you calculated from your 26 inch waist, if I take 5 inches per 20 stitches 20 x 30 divided by 5 is 120. Please confirm I would cast on 120. Thank you, I assume since they are stretchy I could pull them lower than the waist if I wanted to.
Thanks for your video! I can’t work out how many stitches to cast on! I did the equation from my swatch but it ended up really big. I’m using bigger needles does that matter? I thought the equation and swatch would give the waistband measurement for me with that yarn and needles included. ❤️
i need some help😣 i’m struggling with knitting in the round: so after all the measurements i need 120 cast ons & then i need to knit in the round. i get stuck there tho because my circular needles are too long. it’s like my yarn starts bending & i can’t connect the round. i hope this makes sense! please anyone help meee😭😭
Looove these and really want to make them. Is it possible to make it a long pants, just continuing knitting the legs? Or do you think it would be too big on the legs? Hope you can help. Xx
Hey good video mine look a bit different though the seam is in a diffeent place for the rows I increased were you meant to increase one at the back and one at the front or 2 at the back and 2 at the front?
Oh, I need 6.5 or 7 mm needles? Which I don't currently have? Hmm...the current yarn stash which I'm using might also not suffice. I GUESS I just have to VISIT THE CRAFT STORE. AGAIN. WHAT A SHAME...
hello! are there any types of decreases you recommend for the shorts? im planning on making the shorts tighter around my thighs. also thank you for the easy and informative pattern!
Hi!! the shorts use knit and purl stitches but I think to make these shorts you should also be comfortable knitting in the round and increases!! I would say once you have those things down give it a shot! good luck and let me know if you have any questions!
Hola!

Try out the traveling loop or magic loop (knitting) method :) that usually helps for longer chords!
hi! are you doing any German short rows or specific increases for the back of the shorts?
hello beautiful x what length is your circular needles?
Looove these and really want to make them. Is it possible to make it a long pants, just continuing knitting the legs? Or do you think it would be too big on the legs? Hope you can help. Xx
definitely can be pants! i would maybe do a little less increases but either way just experiment until you get something you like :) good luck!
you should get some knitting barber cords for easy try on!
definitely want to buy some soon! I never knew what those were used for so thank you for the tip!! :)
Hey good video mine look a bit different though the seam is in a diffeent place for the rows I increased were you meant to increase one at the back and one at the front or 2 at the back and 2 at the front?
ooo! I would make it if i had circular needles!
they sell them everywhere you should get a pair :) I use them for all types of projects hehe!!
got em! ill start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello! are there any types of decreases you recommend for the shorts? im planning on making the shorts tighter around my thighs. also thank you for the easy and informative pattern!
you could try decreasing every 2 or 3 rows instead of every other! then it won't grow "outward" as fast and will result in a tighter fit
@@minigru.studios alright ill try that out! thank you ☺
LOVE YOUR GLASSES 13:20 !! Do you have a name for them?
they’re from Hip Optical!! the Kiro frames :)
What size are the shorts and how many skiers of yarn do u need??
so i was knitting (like 15 row in) and totally forgot to do 2 inc front and 2 back so now i hove to re do it 😭😭😭😭 i'm so dumb
Wasn't it too difficult to knit with two strands of cotton? The last time I tried, the yarn got very tangled.
Do u need round needles to do this?
yes for this specific tutorial! :)
How many balls of yarn each color?
is this beginner friendly bc ik how to do the basic stitch like knit and pearl and i rlly want to make these😭😭
