About Boom Beach-
Boom Beach is a strategy game and combines attacks on other players with attacks against computer based bases. The game's story-line is set in a tropical archipelago with the player on an island with defences and troops (similar to the gameplay in Supercell's Clash of Clans game) Players can build their base, upgrading their defenses and other buildings, and unlock troop upgrades. Boom Beach includes single player campaign play as well as the ability to attack other players in multiplayer mode. It has been a top 10 game in 22 countries at its launch. The game pits the player vs. an enemy known as "The Blackguard" who are often represented by Lt. Hammerman. Apart from the main aspect of the game, there is also a cooperative form where you create task forces. Everyone must gather Intel (whether it be by surviving or ordering attacks, or by rewards), where then upper classed players then attack bases. Each attack lasts a day, with a varying amount of Intel in order to initiate, and the bases are separated from archipelago. You might notice something when using the instant button, vs using the finish using diamonds after telling it to upgrade. It's a LOT cheaper for some reason. Try it, I wonder how many diamonds might have been saved using that method.
the instant button accounts for all resources and time. If you have a little bit of resources left over when you upgrade and "buy the remaining resources with diamonds" you save a little bit of money. He in this case didn't have any resources at all so it wouldn't have helped it'd just make it harder to upgrade everything needing 2 clicks instead of 1
I'll check that out, but it seems to me when I noticed that I had the resources and there was still a huge difference, but I get your point. I'll check next time I upgrade something.
no matter what is the case, using the instant button is more expensive.
I just did an upgrade of a level 1 gold storage, I had all the resources to do the upgrade. The imstant button cost 15, but hitting upgrade, then using the instant icon cost only 12. when you start getting 1000 diamond upgrades, the savings increase.
Now he has to spend another 100 to really figure it out given this savings.
Next upgrade to lvl 3 gold storage, 57 instant button, 42 upgrade button then instant icon.. I'll keep track on the upgrading and post it here, but prelininary finding is never use the instant button. I'll also try it when I need to use diamonds for resources.

This guy did in 5 minutes what I got done in a month
You'll have saved getting VP by doing this however supercell counters such advantages by giving double VP's when attacking NPCS. The lower your VP vs your Experience Level the more Double VP's you will receive from NPC's. You basically have to beach your base for weeks at a time to counter the VP effect. Once you get a Max base (or close) and you actually WANT as much VP as possible that's when double VP disappears completely. It's maddening to say the least! My Task Force calls VP "Bend Over" points. 'nuff said.

The thing that hurts me the most watching this is that he burnt diamonds paying for the resources to upgrade AND the time speedup. I get that he wanted a speed video but damn man that hurt my soul. Putting some attacks in even iff off camera to get resources to do the upgrades and just using the diamonds on the time speedups might have got him sooooo much higher.
