Remebers me on mine I had. 15 years! Je loved that. Took also a toiletpaper tube on his head and ran around or bit a pencil as long there was all wood gone and the mine left valid and not broken , just loved him. And yeah he could scream 3 blocks far :)
@StephanieePearce We do pay plenty of attention to him, it's just hard to bring him outta the cage because he'll only attack the little ones. He is funny, but never really in a good mood. We tried getting a second Lorikeet, but they didn't get along and yeah.. didn't work out
awww thats soo cute i love your bird... i love how he dose little jumps and says come here at the same time hahahahah... how old are they when you can hand rear them????
One bit me but it didn't hurt at all. Maybe I got rid of the painful bites by my tiel. And also my cockatiel was an avian bird and I could not tame it. He tried to get away or tried to bite me. How could U make it so friendly and do the upside down trick?
His wings are clipped too far. You are only supposed to clip the outer 7-10 secondaries (flight feathers). I noticed the ones that curve, which are closest to his body, have not grown but his flight feathers have. Those feathers will take a year or more to grow back. Let those grow and clip correctly. Do some research online. You can easily find diagrams which show how to clip wings properly.
How did you get your Lori to play with you? I adopted one from the pet store I work at and I know it will take time for him to get used to me but I thought you might have some tips =] also how'd you get him/her to talk?
I have a parakeet that I am working on training and glyapik is right. The bird will get comfortable with the "other bird" or mirror and will be very hard to tame. Weather he stops talking? Who knows. You could try it.
We like your videos - your Lori seems very similar in temperament to ours, who is called 'Zippy'. He's very playful, talks, and likes wrestling. There are some videos of him on my page.
That is ultimate trust right there. Thanks for sharing.
what a cutie! I'm getting a red collared lorikeet soon so I'm excited to get such an awesome bird :D
I love it. My Lori named Squeak wants to play all day.....literally all day. Such wonderful friends

And also thanks for your reply!
My lorikeet isn't at all playful. He is crazy and very moody. He tends to bite a lot as well...
Does your Lori bite toes?
mine bites my toes but its more of a playful manor though. is that what yours does agressive or playful
