I've listened to dozens of versions of this piece both digitized and normal, and this is the only one that seems to capture the "gritty and brutal" nature that this piece speaks to the listener. So many other talented musicians put forward renditions can accurately portray every note, but have no sense of feeling.. it's why so few people can play Beethoven but everyone can play Mozart, they just lack the feeling. It's nice to see that technology allows us to make up for what we lack. Well done.
It's in a different tuning than the traditional violin tuning. It's like typing with a qwerty keyboard then all of the sudden someone switching out your keyboard with an alphabetical one lol. I am a violinist as well, man, the struggle is real!
I watched it the other night on TV and for a movie made in the 2000s it was pretty good and the historical flashbacks didnt look really corny which I liked

2019 - just came across it yesterday. Can't stop playing it. I wish it was like an hour long! Fantastic! Someone referred to this piece as violin anarchy - yep...

Imagine watching someone you love with your entire body, soul and that person feeling that way about another. Watching everyone you love grow up together, having families and making mistakes together. The inevitable they experience, but they have each other. Whilst all is left for us are to either remain lost in memories for who knows however long, to succumb to selfish desires feeding into a doomed cycle or dedicate our time to others with no attachments. No point in sticking around. It’s love and let go of everything that dies within brief moments of time. But immortality isn’t what we think. New faces, new times, same soul.
curious... why do you imagine it to be so horrible? so you remain the same over the course of your life? even over the course of 10 years? why then would you imagine an immortal as being unchanging as the world passed them by? Being in the world is only horrible if you choose for it to be horrible, It is no different for Immortals.
The idea of eternally being alive doesn't scare you? Like, imagine, no one would ever come to understand your thoughts, and in case someone does, they'd just die eventually leaving a gaping hole in your life as you grew accustomed to their presence. You can't tell the public of your immortality, you'd be feared and persecuted at best, taken captive and studied at worst. The things you love, be it people, customs, sports, they'd eventually fade or turn into something different. One day you'd have done everything that you wanted to do, and you'd end up in a perpetual state of boredom, yet you will never die still. Well, that's just how I predict things would turn out, but in case you guys have already thought of that and still find immortality preferable, might I ask why?
With all the things I'm interested in and want to learn & see & experience, I would never be bored. The freedom to go anywhere at any time (daylight aside). Never get sick or "too old". The things I would do...
