GBO2 Advanced Hazel: Support with a shotgun?!

  • This video is a recent rated match I had with the LV1 Advanced Hazel on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 550 cost support with incredibly high damage output, two instant staggers, a rapid fire shotgun with high stun accumulation and high mobility. Its weaknesses would be that the shotgun is sort of short ranged and it has low HP if you aren't considering the shields. This match was really tough since the enemy team were all S- and they had two raids. I had to play a bit more cautiously and reserved so I wasn't able to melee or use the shotgun much, but I still think it went really well in the end. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is the Hazel beam rifle with 1900 (3600) power, 4 ammo, 5.5 seconds cooldown, 11 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap, 300m range, 5 seconds focus time and 20% (80%) stagger value. You can combo a charged shield beam into an uncharged rifle shot for two stuns and high damage, or you can fire a charged shot that consumes 3 ammo and adds piercing for ridiculous damage. From a stun with this you can combo into melee or your shoulder grenades.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2200 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap and standard modifiers. You only have one swing but two stuns and balancers allows you to use this quite well. After a downswing you can then combo into shoulder grenades/shield shotgun and then another melee swing for great damage output.
Its first sub weapon is a shoulder grenade launcher with 600 power, 4 ammo, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 400m range and 35% stagger value. These have long range and high damage which makes them easy to confirm off of your stuns, while also being effective to combo after melee.
Its second sub weapon is a shield spread beam gun with 250x2x5 (450x6) power, 10%x5 (85%) heat, 0.8 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap, 250m (500m) range, 3.5 seconds cooldown and 13%x2x5 (14%x6) stagger value. Uncharged shots have somewhat wide spread but high damage, stagger value and short cooldown. Charged shots fires an instant stagger beam with high power and range. You can easily interrupt enemies chasing you with uncharged shots, dump uncharged shots at point blank for insane damage or combo two stuns in a row with charged shots into rifle shots.
Advanced Hazel has 16000 HP, 24 ballistic/beam resist and 18 melee resist. The HP is a little low for this cost which can be an issue, though your shields will eat some damage for you and let you survive about as long as other suits can.
You also have 110 walk speed, 170 boost speed, 45 thrust and 60 turn speed. This seems awful at first but the Shield Booster Controller Custom skill makes you one of the most mobile supports around. This skill adds +25/20/15 boost, -60%/55%/50% initial thrust usage and -35%/30%/25% thrust consumption while boosting depending on how many shields you have left. It also adds LV2 Flight Control Program. This gives you 195 boosting speed which is among the highest of supports, the reduction in thrust usage also more than makes up for your low 45 thrust and lets you boost around for quite a long time. It isn't even much of a weakness to lose 1-2 shields, since you gain +15% walking/turning speed for each one that gets broken. This makes using your LV1 Forced Injector skill very easy as well.
Overall I think that despite how strange it seems at first, Advanced Hazel is actually quite powerful. 130% stagger build up for 50% heat on its shield is pretty outstanding, along with 2500 power per uncharged shot. I wasn't able to use that much in this match but the unchaged shield shotgun has pretty huge potential for both offence and defence. Generals are going to be taking gigantic damage from your shooting options as well, with the charged rifle in particular being able to deal about 5000-6000 damage to them. In matches less tense and chaotic than this one it should be easy to bully generals in melee thanks to your two instant staggers and strong melee output. It definitely has a learning curve with its unorthodox loadout, but I think if you take the time to learn it then you will find it to be one of the strongest 550 supports. Thanks for watching and I hope that you enjoyed it!

The circle is now complete. It started with the Hazel Custom, and now this has come to take the world by storm. Def a fun support. Almost as simple as the Hazel Custom in concept. Great round btw 👍

The Advanced Hazel and i get along really well. I only recently got it and have only got to bring it into 600 cost battles (only have the 550) and we did good work. I really enjoy this mobile suit.

Got mine this past week and it’s so good to use. Health is a bit of a problem without parts, but otherwise the shield shotgun is SO good I’m going to be mailing this suit alot more in the point range it can fight in.

Well the counter is really funny vs generals. Enhanced tackle lv4+high power counter+support type advantage. It can take off 4000-5000 HP or even more off that counter lol.

With the PC network test (and hopefully release) coming soon, would you consider doing a video on some tips to help new players?
Stuff like explaining in general terms what makes suits good/how certain skills work, etc.
The breakdowns you do in the description are super helpful and made me think that you could give a pretty good overview on that sort of thing

Actually I am already working on such a thing with another content creator. So stay tuned for that!

its a zippy suit w some decent range and weps ill give it that but ive got so many good 550/600 supports i dont need another side grade to my main
if i get it ok but ill stick w my fa7th for shoot and scoot support
the nades i will say despite having an arc have some great range speed and accuracy unlike some other arcing nades on say the bulldog or the fa/fa type b
it is of that aoz/twilight axis design tho for sure and most of those suits are very very solid

How would you say Advanced Hazelnut compares to Full Armor 7th (considering they're both made for the same cost with a focus on mobility for a support and even melee balancers to boot)?

    • @avenger1_gbo260
      @avenger1_gbo260  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Well I would say they are both incredibly powerful. It would be hard to say which one is better but the Advanced Hazel definitely has the edge in terms of melee, mobility and chain stun ability. Better damage in its ranged combos as well.
FA 7th has the leg missiles that absolutely nuke though, along with the mega beam that can basically guarantee a kill if you charge it after a wipe.
