thank you for great tutorial, I knew how to make toggles/material change...etc in FX layer, but now we have a better tools. thats why im here learning how to make a item menu prefab using MA, and your tutorial is really organised and useful. thank you so much once again ^-^
I love the tutorial, but I'm too scatter brained to follow it is there a super easy way to add 1 outfit to my avatar and then just do the toggle on toggle off for that one outfit?
@@LLJP- Well if you want the default to be the default, you don't have to hide anything from it and leave it on as you make the toggles. Just do the same but use the hoodie as an example of being the default. I just did that incase anyone was trying to change the default outfit. But you can still use the hoodie as an example of what to do with the default
I don't think im doing anything wrong but when im at the adding parameters to outfits and toggle between the two outfits i added, it simply turns both of them on wether im toggling the 1st or the 2nd outfit on... 😓
Great tutorial! I'm running into a couple issues though. I have have two toggles and a default outfit. When I enable only one of toggles, it switches off of the default, but it enables the second toggle as well.
How do you keep the clothes on as you change worlds?, Say I selected an outfit to put on that isn't the default and then moved worlds because, I tried doing that and when I loaded in it just sent me back to the default outfit. Edit: Nevermind I figured it out, but for the people who are having similar trouble just go to the Holder parameter and click "Saved" on it. :)
Hi! Beginner here, I followed your tutorial down to a T: I have the Holder empty which has the "Outfit Toggles" parameter set, every toggle is inside an empty for convenience's sake, each outfit (out of 4) have their own object toggle set to each individual object to "ON" and the main outfit to "OFF", each outfit has its parameter set to the "Outfit Toggles"... however, when I use the gesture manager, every single outfit (but the main one) turns on at the same time instead of toggling each one individually like in the video. Did I miss a step or did I do something wrong?
@HoshinekoSanti Yeah, if you set the Parameters, make sure each Parameters value is a different number (1, 2, 3, 4, etc..) for each outfit. I think i may have forgotten to mention this
Im confused, ive created a MA Parameter the same way you did, but when i want to set that parameter for a toggle it is not appears on the list at all...
@@Cloakedschemer yes, its pretty much the same as on your video, i have a separate empty where is the menu being set up, and another empty with the different outfits under it and also the parameter is set on the empty which contains the outfits

I'm following along working on a Mizuki edit but ive ran into a little problem. Her blend shapes revert back in gesture manager. No matter what I change in her blend shapes, whenever I switch to gesture manager she goes back to having no legs. Do you have any idea how that could be fixed?
I can look at the model myself since I have her and check what the issue might be. This new modular avatar is not entirely perfect but sometimes an avatar's default can be the issue with causing messy blendshapes. Usually you'd also need some kind of auto blendshapes tool in MA. But I'll let you know when I check it out after work
Back again, okay... Mizuki is VERY different than most booth models in how she treats Modular Avatar. I will try to make a special Tutorial for adding clothes and such to Mizuki
I have a problem with outfit toggle. I do everything the same as you. I added parameters to both of my outfits, when I test in gesture manager, it's work perfectly fine. But when I test in VRChat when I click toggle my second outfit, it just toggles my first outfit instead. I've been trying to find what cause that problem and fix it, but alas there's no clue.
Did you make sure the outfit you toggle on, disables the default? It also can be the avatar you are trying to use. I realized some avatars like Mizuki and Lasyusha are a little unfriendly with this Modular Avatar update
@Cloakedschemer Yep, everything is set correctly. I can toggle from default outfit to first outfit, and it's work perfectly fine, but when I try to toggle second outfit from default it's just toggle the first outfit instead. For the avatar I'm using Manuka as base, I'm not sure it it's because of this avatar or not, or because of VRFury and GOGO LOCO that I install afterwards.
@@mikelawson350 Could be the VRFury, currently the MA toggles setup is fairly new so It might have some conflicts with other scripts in the avatar. Especially if an avatar has certain toggles set to default
