    That ticking/clicking noise works so well because an actual crawfish makes a very similar ticking/clicking sound when it is backing away from danger. The tail strikes the underside of the abdomen or thorax and makes a slapping/ticking/clicking sound with each tail strike. I have observed this during research dives when I reached out to collect crawfish. The sound is surprisingly loud underwater. (retired fishery biologist)

    I can see this working really well in deeper water. Hop it up off the bottom and let it fall. Chigger craw has such a great action.

    I haven’t tried this rig, but from my experience, I‘ve not known a Bass to pass up a Craw, especially Smallies 😊 If they happen to be reluctant, which I don’t think so, but if they were, that pecking sound would seal the deal. They wouldn’t be able to resist! Thanks again for another great video.

    Mike just wanted to drop you a MSG ... Fished a Marshall university bass team tournament this weekend here in west Virginia on Sutton lake . record number of boats in this tournament so it was crowded . But turned out bass were on beds very skittish took 45 mins to a hour to catch one ... I switched to this rig after watching your video last week about 2 hours into the day and could come behind a boat that had worked the fish forever and end up catching the fish with this rig 10 mins into it.. Thanks so much for you info it truly helps .. P.s lost one 4lber and one almost 6lbs by not listening to u and using to small a hook and straighted my hooks at the boat during the fight .. Thanks pal keep them coming .. Adam Estepp

    🙋 I do have the vmc pro series crayfish jig in a 1/32 oz. This vmc crayfish jig is very good for trout, crappies and panfish. I guarantee you use this for brown trout and tiger trout, most definitely they well tear it up. Just throwing it out there. This is all I fish for is trout. The only thing we have to fish for in a nice little stream in our area. Just a stream with rainbow, brookies, browns and tiger trout.

    Mike!!! I’ve been arguing this strategy and experimenting with how to make the claws appear less threatening. After seeing how many bass back off once the claws come out… I’ve been asking myself WHY are all the craws meant to look like they’re in a aggressive position, only to see bass back off.

    • @FlippinOkie
      @FlippinOkie 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pamelaklemp5615 no problem and if you really wanna catch'em take one of those zman pro craws (the 3 1/2" ones) and then take a jackhammer chatterbait and take the skirt off and put that craw on there and let it sink to the bottom and slow reel it across the bottom and it looks exactly like a craw going across bottom with that Jackhammer thump and bass cant stand it!! Ive never told anyone this so dont be spreading the word if it works as good for you as it does me lol

    Don't bass eat craws head first? What I've heard is that that bite of pinches and then swallow the craw.. I may be wrong but that is what I've always been told.. Is this correct or no?

    IKE, love your videos and all the info do you share but get a new camera man that understands video and how to adjust the depth of field so that we can see what your trying to show us in your hand. Also it would help if you don't put your hand out from your body things would be more in focus. Tell your camera man when he's trying to get it to focus don't zoom out to (zoom in) on the item. Sorry can't help myself your favorite cameraman.
