Great to hear! I have enjoyed the rubber mounted bars and the new damper immensely since I installed them. Unfortunately I never really rode the bike without the rubber mounted bars so I don't know if it was a big difference. But my 57-year-old wrists and arms and hands think it was a great modification!
I ride a lot of desert which is generally high speeds and oftentimes very sandy. It is easy to hit a rock that is hidden in the sand that deflects your front tire left or right and when you're going fast that could be enough to take you out. A steering damper damps that steering deflection making it so you hopefully don't wipe. It can be turned down if you're doing single track or slow type riding in the woods or it can be turned up if you're doing 90 mph across a dry lake bed. It is a piece of mind item that I have had on every bike I've owned. They're not cheap but they kind of complete the package :-)
HI, I have that same bike and was looking at that kit. How do like the performance of the stabilizer? What settings do you use in singletrack and high-speed desert?
I love that damper kit and the upper triple clamp! I keep it around #4 unless I am in desert sand or tight singletrack and then I bump it up to 5-6. I did replace the oil with a heavier oil than they use OEM because it was requiring settings closer to max prior. Good luck!
Using your tools that you ride with us just such good common sense, don't you know common Sense offends and triggers people these days? LOL that is such a sweet KTM I loved the video of your walk around I can't wait to dump my XR650L and step into a KTM.
Thanks for the tool kit tip!
Great way to make sure you have only what you need in your trail tool kit !
Getting ready to install the same stabilizer on the exact same bike...this video was very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to make it!

Excellent video. Concise and you take your time explaining things we need to know. Great stuff thanks
Great video, thank you. Can you explain why you decided to get the stabilizer? I’m considering one for my 500.
