I drove that in 2005 or so, the road is much better now. We only saw people on bikes at the Hogback, the rest of the trip was just us. It took us all day in the Jeep and 3/4 of a tan of gas. Nice video, thanks for posting.

Amazing video. I like everything you covered. The tail box looks great in my opinion. Motoz tires are amazing. I saved your video for reference later for when I upgrade my 890 to a 1290. Which may be sooner than later. I haven't been camping on the 890 yet, since I stick close to home and trails aren't to far away. I do ride a lot of single track as well and my 890 is my main commuter to work. 1290 would be better on the road, just not sure about the off road yet. I really like the high front fender mount kit. Definitely completes the bike. Well done sir!!

Hi from Ireland. I love your bike . Lovely extras. I just got my brand new ktm 1290 sas and I have installed a Wings exhaust end can with removable baffle but it not loud enough for me . Alot of people is telling me not to remove the cat and other people is telling me my bike will need to be reprogramed. What is your advice please?

Beautiful fall foliage in that one canyon section. While there are plenty of wide open stretches where you can wick it up, it looks like a lighter bike might be less aggravating in the sand and wash out ruts.

"This is going to be so much fun when it's done" - lol, that's the perfect quote! I had trouble on my V-Strom 650 on section 1 earlier this year (th-cam.com/video/ZW4n9DvEIaU/w-d-xo.html) but the sand you guys went through exceeds what I hit. Next time I'll try on my Honda CRL250L!

One of the mods I love which you didn’t cover, is the paracord wrapped around the crash bars. They protect the bars and much easier to remove and replace if required! Great video, thank you.

You may want to invest in a headlight protector more than a kickstand relocation. The headlight is very expensive if even a small rock is kicked up from the paved road at any distance.
