Thoma and fichel/raiden Offfield pyro applications can be kind of rough. You could always do a Sunfire gene or xiangling Bennett but you will be taking up faruzan slot. If you don't have her though it's probably a pretty good option.
@@dyhaeris so even more interesting is if you run the overload comp you're probably going to want lost prayer. But if you run the freeze comp you probably want Atlas. This means that you can sit around 60% crit rate comfortably no matter what and compensate with his buff
I use kaguras verity on wanderer and it's passive can be quite useful for him. Of course in abyss it becomes useless but because I'm using him in the overworld alot and always use his skill on cooldown for the sprint kaguras elemental damage increase is almost always active

Saw one of my friends using wanderer, shogun, xingqiu, and xiangling. Using VV set with crit and damage stats and just shredded everything in sight before he even got touched Edit: would a team of wanderer, nahida, shogun and xingqiu hyperbloom tea lm work against single targets?, wouldn't need to use VV on him and wouldn't need any CC at all
Nahida, Raiden and XQ/Yelan works with pretty much every character in the game. Those 3 are a complete team already lol. Wanderer wouldn’t be very good though. He’s very squishy and without shield or heal he will just die.
First team has Raiden and Wanderer competing for field time, no healer and no atk buffer for Xiangling. Second team is basically Raiden Hyperbloom team. Having healer or shielder would be better choice compared to Wanderer though.
@@SP-ug7tl I believe so, but like the other have said, he doesn't have resistance to interruption so you might need a shield. I myself would run something like Wanderer Faruzan Flex Zhongli/Layla/Diona, the flex can be any off field/support character you want like Bennet, Yelan, or Fischl.
i played him for just a bit so far and i think he's perfect. he's fun , he's flexible, he have his own strong dmg but also can be a driver , and above it all, he's UNIQUE , we dont need "broken" characters we need something special and this is what he is , he can test so much interesting combos and he legit makes me think when i use him , his combat like his personality have LAYERS of complex and nuance and i think they did amazing with him and he is gonna get better as more charcters will come out! LOVE HIM
The abyss can be 36 starred with 4 stars so I agree pull who u want but it just sucks when ur fav character isn't as good as someone as boring as ganyu
I actually don't care about the meta... Why care about it when you can just fly around? It is fun using him really. Dang, do you know he has become my taxi service at this point? I keep alternating between his flying dash and normal dash... Like, the man has unlimited dashes. (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧
Not regretting a single second after getting him, infused a fresh breathe of air in the game, even if the damage is lacklustre of my lvl 60 wanderer without the set, the sheer joy of floating and dodging is worth the long fights

My c6 faruzan gets half of her energy from wanderers uptime and her burst literally double Wanderer's damage. Both my bennet and faruzan are at base level since its my first time wishing for a character and just got them along the way. Layla is awesome too! The cryo infusion helps with crit rate and her shield is sooo strong!!
I know it's bragging, but I just wanna share how happy I am. I was at 77 pity and I got two Wanderer's in one ten pull! Both 50/50s. He's my first limited 5* C1 and I'm STILL shaking. Little shit heard I was gonna C1 Hu Tao first and he said "Not before ME." How utterly Scaramouche of him.
I hope they'll make his passive talent have a more noticeable visual que when its ready. Like...give it a color that stands out more. It's green color makes it blend in too much with his corona.
im such a big scara fan i hackermonz'ed into Hoyoverse HQ and made them give me a copy early so i could make this guide jkjkjkkjkkjjk they so very graciously gave me early access to test him for you all huehuheuuee
I have my complaints but even after 280 I dont regret my pulls, overworld he's amazing with his flying, in abyss despite it not being ideal for him I still 36* with little issues (only the knights posed any problem cause I had trouble grouping them). I do wish his buff indicator was displayed for the duration of his skill and not just for a few seconds before disappearing, it's annoying not knowing if I got the buffs or not cause sometimes its hard to make out what buffs I got with everything happening and other abilities overlapping like shields or xingqiu rain swords etc.
Without interruption resistance, his floating feels… a bit pointless. His HP feels low and overall he seems a bit fragile… I say this as someone who loves him and would’ve wanted him regardless.
"if you put enough time, effort, and resources into him". I mean, this kind of applies to every character in the game wouldn't you say. wanderer is neat though, got him by accident while puling for Faruzan. now I got ANOTHER Anemo unit I feel compelled to build. Anemo supremacy .
i think hes a very unique playstyles that many ppl will enjoy despite initial complaints on damage. i think there could be some bug fixes or optimisations to his mechanics like his flight etc. sometimes I find myself a lot higher than enemies other times ill be same level as them. moreover, as someone else stated, whilst flying he would often get stuck in grounded cages such as the prism lady which looks really odd, I reckon they could add some grouping to his initial skill cast or even charged attack but overall I'm happy

wonder why new 4star nowaday almost need c6 for worth to build. i remember when childe banner first release i can use bennet and xianling c1 for become beast team compo. even when hutao first release i just use xinqiu c0 for suporting hutao nuking all enemy on the abyss.
So far those 5* DPS are hypercarries and does not have access to Vape/Melt which multiplies your damage by 2x. Ayato did not have a personal 4* Support because he’s Hydro and has access to such strong reactions.
Im more upset about the 4 stars, I wanted Faru since she seemed neat but I'm kinda sad im only at c0... I lucked out hitting wanderer in 27, but it took over 60 to get my first faru and i dont think im willing to risk getting a 5 for her constellations since i want raiden... I got a bunch of weapons this time around which is crai, i wanted yanfei cons too. I just got her, but c4 sounds really fun. Classic pulling for 4 stars moment haha, unfortunate to end up with faru a bit underwhelming at c0
Question about the teambuilds: Say you have C6 Faruzan AND c4 Jean (C6 actually) is there an optimal way to use both of them with like zhongli , or would 3 anemo chars simply be less effective? (i mean, his passive buffs go bye bye like this.)
If you run them with zhongli, then you are missing out on *some* swirls so I recommend using Bennett instead of zhongli! While also applying some pyro he will also obv give wanderer an atk boost so yaey!
I've never actually looked into the relative growth difference in leveling various talents, I assumed it at least was as simple as 5* vs. 4*, like with ascension stat. I did notice they offset diminishing returns by improving the absolute scaling per level as you get higher, but iirc I only checked how much it's offset for one talent.
Jade knight released not long ago in honkai impact, it's interesting that her and the wanderer are very similar, both go into the air with an special "stamina", shoot projectiles, and their ult are both a big stump. Both look like they are really fun character to play
hmm she does seem similar in combat style, mainly skill arrows only, other things are different and she does have more complexity in her kit... but that does not seem to have any exploration qualities, maybe because honkai is combat focused. is she dps or sub dps?
Well for me he has too many downside rather than his usefulness in his kit and playstyle. He is not a proper hypercarrry but kind of a fusion between itto and xiao. But yeah if you like him don't overthink get him. After all we play for having fun not for nuke numbers.
I’m still a little divided about getting him! I don’t feel like he’s game changing in terms of power, but as much as I really enjoy the challenge that the Abyss brings, I’ve been completing it with a certain ease for a while. And factually, I only spend a few hours a month in the Abyss. On the other hand, he seems to be nice for overworld exploration and I love the fact that he’s a menace hahahaha. His voice lines are so fun and his design is awesome too. Oh well, I still have a few weeks to think
You'll need extremely high resin investment, as well as c6 Faruzan on him He has a very high ceiling, but you need to prepare to pour your soul into him.

Im currently using him with 4 piece desert pavilion on a team with beidou,kaeya,and Bennett. I am having way to much fun with this little man he has taken all my exp books and I farmed for like an hour for his shrooms, but I sadly don’t have inazuma unlocked so ascending him is going to be a pain hhhh
I've found it really fun to use him with 4vv kazuha with iron sting, kokomi with 2maiden 2hod with the prototype amber, and finally ayato with 4glad and that one 5 star er weapon Basically I put the jellyfish, swirl with kazu, burst with ayato, then go ham with scara ^^
I know that I probably won't be able to get Wanderer to his max potential but seeing how I managed to pull him AND Faruzan in one go and can slap on Sacred winds and my best artifacts (even tho they're pretty average) and hit some good numbers I think he's an all around very fun and interesting character with a unique play style
Theres a glitch out to where you can get his stamina bar to last forever, im gonna have to try it asap b4 it gets fixed bc the gameplay i saw looked insane
So, I've been testing him a bit and I think it's worth noting that, unless wanderer's paired with a NA-Proc subdps (yelan, xingqiu, yunjin, fischl c6, beidou etc.), more normal atk speed bonuses and/or his signature weapon/solar pearl, u will probably have better results with his own personal damage by just spamming charge atks and sprinting once in a while! The thing is: with an usual 10% atk speed bonus from his 4p set, wanderer will be able to perform 6 full NA combos. With his talents at level 6-6-X, 46% dmg bonus from goblet, 15% dmg bonus from the 2p effect, 40% bonus from the 4p effect and 43.5% from the skill, HoverBoy will deal about 4.885,11% total dmg (here the total normal atk % is multiplied by the total DMG bonus%, as all dmg bonus in this case are additive between themselves, no crits considered). Meanwhile, MommyIssued-Ladybug can perform 12 to 13 charged atks comfortably within his skills infusion. In that sense, considering "only" 12 charged atks, and again with talents at level 6-6-X, 46% dmg bonus from goblet, 15% dmg bonus from 2p, 40% bonus from 4p and 34,8% bonus from his airplane mode, he will deal about 5.231,93% total dmg. Sure, he will be able to proc his a4 passive only 60% of the times he would bys just spamming NA's, but those 40% aren't enough to surpass this difference since his a4 passive doesn't really deals that much dmg and u will often find yourself compelled to not sprint in order to maintain your dps. In addition to that, any other generic DMG bonus that he gets will increase the dmg gap in favor of his charged atks, since it will make the ~9% bonus difference from his skill less and less relevant. Finally, it's also worth noting that his charged atks have no ICD, so as long as enemies have an element applied to them, every CA will be a Swirl; and that his CAs AoE is bigger than his NAs. That being said, oc he will be better by spamming NAs (or doing 2NA-CA) when paired with the aforementioned NA-Proc Subdps. These calculations will also change if he has his signature weapon, his C1 (as it gives more atk speed and icreases his a4 dmg output), additional normal atk-only bonuses or any other normal atk speed bonuses (jean's C2, song of broken pines, ayato's c4, yunjin's c6 etc.). Last but not least, this should also mean that, if u dont have his 4p 10% normal atk speed bonus, a NA spam is even more detrimental to your Flying-Rhapsode personal dmg and that u may find more appealling to equip him with a 4p wanderers troupe with really good subs than some other combinations with mildly good rolls.

According to my calculations 🤓 I should be able to get him. By the end of his banner I’ll be at around 75 pity and I’m garunteed so no 50/50. If I have to go to hard pity I’ll pull out my wallet

crystallize shields are not “good shields” especially not for someone like wanderer, who’s already very squishy and vulnerable. albedo’s not a bad teammate, and crystallize shields CAN work, but Albedo is not a shielder, nor are crystallize shields very good
I'd Rather Spend On Weapon Banner Or Save. Current Weapon Banner Is Quite Good. Scara's Weap Is Universal For Main DPS Catalysts And Redhorn Has 90 Crit Dmg Substat
@@waylonpark2340 Scaras weapon doesn't benefit any catalyst user, all of them use charged attacks/skill and not normal attacks. His weapon is very niche and should be treated as such

All her weakness went away with the introduction of Dendro. Comparing her to Wanderer is night and day. Considering i have c0 r1 wanderer aswell and the dmg difference is just ridiculous. Wanderer was a rushed concept IMO for the fanbase. His time was not now.
i mean he's easy to build just to have fun with him, and plus he can do alot of damage even with more f2p supports, so i dont see why not pull for him as an easy dps to have, i legit didnt bother much, 2 glad 2 vv, 70+- crit 210+- crt dmg with a solar pearl (only crt book i have for now), and i can honetly say he's already doing wonders

I think hyperbloom team is the best team in my account for Wanderer. I use Dendro Traveller, Xingqiu, Beidou then Wanderer. Dendro did not Swirl, then will not get into Wanderer buff talent. Hydro and Electro will stay in enemies so Wanderer will get buff easily. I have tried 2 best buff for Wanderer which is Pyro and Cryo with Bennet and Diona (of course for shield and heal), but I think I need better applicator.
As someone who just farmed friendship with Nahida-Fischl spread/aggravate with him in the team, I second his opinion about it not being that great of a team for him. Still viable because Oz lasts on field pretty long, so you can also swirl every other time spread/aggravate does not tick, but other reactions are better, not to mention the additional elemental buffs you can gain during floating stance. Electro buff for some reason seems to tick wayyyyy less often than the other three. He absorbs pyro, cryo, and hydro right away. Meanwhile, with electro it sometimes doesn’t tick at all, I thought it was just with Oz, but it also happened with Beidou’s shield and Kuki’s ring. He’s fun and pretty strong, of course, but nowhere near archon level. Floating stance and ca spamming mechanic are fun touches, though. But mine is 2pc WT 2pc Pavilion, maybe he gets better with full Pavilion set. Still looking for a good feather.

i think hes a very unique playstyles that many ppl will enjoy despite initial complaints on damage. i think there could be some bug fixes or optimisations to his mechanics like his flight etc. sometimes I find myself a lot higher than enemies other times ill be same level as them. moreover, as someone else stated, whilst flying he would often get stuck in grounded cages such as the prism lady which looks really odd, I reckon they could add some grouping to his initial skill cast or even charged attack but overall I'm happy

In a Wanderer - Venti - Faruzan team, would Zhongli shieldbot (w Venti crit/atk build) or bennet (w Venti em build) make for a better team?

i remember when childe banner first release i can use bennet and xianling c1 for become beast team compo. even when hutao first release i just use xinqiu c0 for suporting hutao nuking all enemy on the abyss.
All because Benny, XQ, XL, Fischl and Sucrose are more like exceptions among other 4* rather then a norm eheh
So far those 5* DPS are hypercarries and does not have access to Vape/Melt which multiplies your damage by 2x. Ayato did not have a personal 4* Support because he’s Hydro and has access to such strong reactions.

I got a bunch of weapons this time around which is crai, i wanted yanfei cons too. I just got her, but c4 sounds really fun. Classic pulling for 4 stars moment haha, unfortunate to end up with faru a bit underwhelming at c0

Question about the teambuilds:
Say you have C6 Faruzan AND c4 Jean (C6 actually) is there an optimal way to use both of them with like zhongli , or would 3 anemo chars simply be less effective?

If you run them with zhongli, then you are missing out on *some* swirls so I recommend using Bennett instead of zhongli! While also applying some pyro he will also obv give wanderer an atk boost so yaey!
I've never actually looked into the relative growth difference in leveling various talents, I assumed it at least was as simple as 5* vs. 4*, like with ascension stat. I did notice they offset diminishing returns by improving the absolute scaling per level as you get higher, but iirc I only checked how much it's offset for one talent.

Jade knight released not long ago in honkai impact, it's interesting that her and the wanderer are very similar, both go into the air with an special "stamina", shoot projectiles, and their ult are both a big stump. Both look like they are really fun character to play
His passive is called Jade-claimed flower too
And don't forget that in the trailer she says "I'm Li Sushang from Wanderer's house"
hmm she does seem similar in combat style, mainly skill arrows only, other things are different and she does have more complexity in her kit... but that does not seem to have any exploration qualities, maybe because honkai is combat focused. is she dps or sub dps?

Well for me he has too many downside rather than his usefulness in his kit and playstyle. He is not a proper hypercarrry but kind of a fusion between itto and xiao. But yeah if you like him don't overthink get him. After all we play for having fun not for nuke numbers.
I’m still a little divided about getting him! I don’t feel like he’s game changing in terms of power, but as much as I really enjoy the challenge that the Abyss brings, I’ve been completing it with a certain ease for a while. And factually, I only spend a few hours a month in the Abyss. On the other hand, he seems to be nice for overworld exploration and I love the fact that he’s a menace hahahaha. His voice lines are so fun and his design is awesome too. Oh well, I still have a few weeks to think

Im currently using him with 4 piece desert pavilion on a team with beidou,kaeya,and Bennett. I am having way to much fun with this little man he has taken all my exp books and I farmed for like an hour for his shrooms, but I sadly don’t have inazuma unlocked so ascending him is going to be a pain hhhh

I've found it really fun to use him with 4vv kazuha with iron sting, kokomi with 2maiden 2hod with the prototype amber, and finally ayato with 4glad and that one 5 star er weapon

I know that I probably won't be able to get Wanderer to his max potential but seeing how I managed to pull him AND Faruzan in one go and can slap on Sacred winds and my best artifacts (even tho they're pretty average) and hit some good numbers I think he's an all around very fun and interesting character with a unique play style

So, I've been testing him a bit and I think it's worth noting that, unless wanderer's paired with a NA-Proc subdps (yelan, xingqiu, yunjin, fischl c6, beidou etc.), more normal atk speed bonuses and/or his signature weapon/solar pearl, u will probably have better results with his own personal damage by just spamming charge atks and sprinting once in a while!
The thing is: with an usual 10% atk speed bonus from his 4p set, wanderer will be able to perform 6 full NA combos. With his talents at level 6-6-X, 46% dmg bonus from goblet, 15% dmg bonus from the 2p effect, 40% bonus from the 4p effect and 43.5% from the skill, HoverBoy will deal about 4.885,11% total dmg (here the total normal atk % is multiplied by the total DMG bonus%, as all dmg bonus in this case are additive between themselves, no crits considered).
Meanwhile, MommyIssued-Ladybug can perform 12 to 13 charged atks comfortably within his skills infusion. In that sense, considering "only" 12 charged atks, and again with talents at level 6-6-X, 46% dmg bonus from goblet, 15% dmg bonus from 2p, 40% bonus from 4p and 34,8% bonus from his airplane mode, he will deal about 5.231,93% total dmg. Sure, he will be able to proc his a4 passive only 60% of the times he would bys just spamming NA's, but those 40% aren't enough to surpass this difference since his a4 passive doesn't really deals that much dmg and u will often find yourself compelled to not sprint in order to maintain your dps. In addition to that, any other generic DMG bonus that he gets will increase the dmg gap in favor of his charged atks, since it will make the ~9% bonus difference from his skill less and less relevant. Finally, it's also worth noting that his charged atks have no ICD, so as long as enemies have an element applied to them, every CA will be a Swirl; and that his CAs AoE is bigger than his NAs.
That being said, oc he will be better by spamming NAs (or doing 2NA-CA) when paired with the aforementioned NA-Proc Subdps. These calculations will also change if he has his signature weapon, his C1 (as it gives more atk speed and icreases his a4 dmg output), additional normal atk-only bonuses or any other normal atk speed bonuses (jean's C2, song of broken pines, ayato's c4, yunjin's c6 etc.).
Last but not least, this should also mean that, if u dont have his 4p 10% normal atk speed bonus, a NA spam is even more detrimental to your Flying-Rhapsode personal dmg and that u may find more appealling to equip him with a 4p wanderers troupe with really good subs than some other combinations with mildly good rolls.

Albedo is also a good shielder. It gives you unlimited shields and adds damage to Wanderer.
crystallize shields are not “good shields” especially not for someone like wanderer, who’s already very squishy and vulnerable. albedo’s not a bad teammate, and crystallize shields CAN work, but Albedo is not a shielder, nor are crystallize shields very good

I think hyperbloom team is the best team in my account for Wanderer. I use Dendro Traveller, Xingqiu, Beidou then Wanderer.
Dendro did not Swirl, then will not get into Wanderer buff talent. Hydro and Electro will stay in enemies so Wanderer will get buff easily.
I have tried 2 best buff for Wanderer which is Pyro and Cryo with Bennet and Diona (of course for shield and heal), but I think I need better applicator.
As someone who just farmed friendship with Nahida-Fischl spread/aggravate with him in the team, I second his opinion about it not being that great of a team for him. Still viable because Oz lasts on field pretty long, so you can also swirl every other time spread/aggravate does not tick, but other reactions are better, not to mention the additional elemental buffs you can gain during floating stance.
Electro buff for some reason seems to tick wayyyyy less often than the other three. He absorbs pyro, cryo, and hydro right away. Meanwhile, with electro it sometimes doesn’t tick at all, I thought it was just with Oz, but it also happened with Beidou’s shield and Kuki’s ring.
He’s fun and pretty strong, of course, but nowhere near archon level. Floating stance and ca spamming mechanic are fun touches, though. But mine is 2pc WT 2pc Pavilion, maybe he gets better with full Pavilion set. Still looking for a good feather.
