Also I forgot to mention but Wanderer generates 1 Anemo particle per NA/CA he lands when in flight with an internal 2s particle generation cooldown, so not a lot.
"Catalyst weapon sucks for Dps" while enemies are high physical resistance than Robots and Rifthound, proceed use elemental damage isn't much need skill or burst first against abyss order or tanky health enemies

A bit of issue I have at 5:32. You should NEVER hold the space bar for Wanderer when ascending. Only tap it. You will get FAR more height tapping space bar over an even rhythm to ascend. You want to time it so when your stamina bar is almost empty you tap it one last time. When you are moving around the overworld do not hold down the arrow keys. It will cause you to get stuck on geometry. Only hold the dash button and tap arrow keys to change direction. This will allow him to climb steep hills without losing too much speed.

Nice video. I agree to most of the takes with few additions
1. DPC is incredibly efficient to farm cos its best set for hyperbloom and burgeon. Its even more so when Embles goes to strognbox.
2. Pre Faru C6 Scara is incredible inflexible or to be more correct very suboptimal in teams you slot him in.
3. Instead of Kazuha he is much more synergistic with Venti. Venty battery the last slot unit, enables wanderer to spam NA as AOE attack and ofc Elegy.
4. Trigering A4 passive is very importatn shield break mechanincs.
Just pulled him last night on the 3rd 10-pull after saving for a month. I'm going for Kokomi next. Thanks for making this guide.
Being a strong anemo carry with Lost prayer and vertical movement makes him probably the best exploration character.
And is the reason I pulled him.
Will definitely use him in spiral abyss but the main reason I pulled him is to replace kazuha in my exploration team. XD
I got both wanderer and kokofish with just 40 faiths (20 pulls each) at 0 pity it was crazy pulling them very early and winning 50/50 twice at the same time. They are my first and second 5 star and the thing is, i just started a month and a half ago!!!!
N2C is generally better single target than charged spam without dodoco and pre c6, and can be easier than perfectly getting 14 Charged attacks in 1 E. You can count your hits then use genshin optimizer to see the difference between N3, N2C and Charged and see which work better with your own setup and team buffs.
Glad you touched on his over world abilities! He's a must pull imo just for that alone. He's really in a tier of his own and makes exploring the world a much more enjoyable experience. He also has really good DPS for over world monsters without needing any setup or rotations.
He's also incredibly powerful when heavily invested in for the abyss, but I will admit he's extremely frustrating to play in the abyss without a shield.
100% agree. He's actually got decent damage output but god he's annoying to play sometimes
Idk how you use him that much for exploration, I mean sure he can cross gaps between 2 platforms at the same level, but for going upwards it feels so bad, the stamina ends soon and you can't do much, like not sure how much higher you vs a kazuha jump or venti current, at least he is also good like yelan for just running, and yes to play him idk why they made him suffer that much with long animation when hit, they could just give him some interruption ressist, even in the character trial they feel force to make you use layla
@@asorethe’s good for exploration cause he’s very fast with a very short cd on his skill. And he’s not reliant on burst so he’s good to kill overworld ennemies.
@@asoreti use him to cross large gaps or rivers. I use regular speed when crossing so it lasts 10 seconds. For me it’s better than gliding across and then climbing up or swimming the full distance. For climbing, I climb on zhongli’s pillar and then fly up with scara. Zhongli gives shield too so they’re good together.
@@asorethuh his better than venti and kazuha to go up his the best unit for exploration no debate… you can spam running and using his e for vertical run and to climb you can just his e than tap a last time on it to go even higher

I think unless you burst in overworld and you're artifacts are crappy, even without the 4 piece shim effect, he'll still overworld stuff easily so using it (shim) in overworld is a moot point

Another issue I have with Lost Prayer statement. It almost never takes 16 seconds to get all 4 stacks. This is because the buff timer occurs even when you are not on the field so it is possible you will get the buff instantly when you switch to Wanderer and it can take 4 seconds if you are very unlucky. If you have c0 Wanderer it is not that important to go for max stack burst. Instead you can just open with your burst and by the end of your burst you will have 1 stack most of the time. The dps difference is just rather small. You will usually end with 3 stacks before you land. Sometimes 4 stacks with your last attack.
In addition you can get max stack Kagura by pressing E at the start of the rotation, press E again to fall, activate all your support abilities and then press E a third time on Wanderer to activate the passive.
Naw Lost Prayer only starts building stacks when you are on the field. Considering Wanderer only spends about 12s on-field, the passive only gives about 8% DMG bonus on average at R1. Still great for the 5-star level stats particularly CR. What you said about Kagura is probably true though I don't have the weapon to confirm.
@lonely_dolphin8923 No, you don't understand how it works. The 4 second timer is constantly ticking down. If you are lucky and switch to Wanderer on 4 you will instantly get 8% buff. Then, 4 seconds later you will have 16%. If I lead with my burst first, I sometimes finish my last attack with 4 stacks.

I use wanderer + raiden + furina + zhongli. All of them except wanderer have tenancy of Milletith.
Zhongli plays an obvious role of shielder
Furina is off field dps and support. She ults every rotation so it helps raiden gry this ring full
Due to electricity presence, wanderer gets higher enrergy recharge as well
So i basically play wanderer until i have raidens ult ring fully charged and then i play raiden for a while. I guess you could cal it "tripple dps" because furuna does some good.damage too
TOP TIP: For 1 (or more close together) enemy(s) the best combo string will be 1CA 2NA so replacing your third hit with a charged attack. This will be the best combo even if you have dpc, however, if you have any other NA speed buffs then just spam NAs.
I would have also mentionned Thoma c6 for his hypercarry teams as he boosts normal and charged atk
Would you think Rosaria C6, Layla, Kokomi and Wanderer works great as a Charged Attack Freeze team?
I'm thinking about building this team cause it's easier to build 3 Support and 1 DPS

Wanderer lacks a lot of damage cause i didn't have buffs from supports. But it might be better to swap in Faruzan instead of Rosaria if you have constelations. Beside, i haven't got a good build for all of them beside Kokomi, Rosaria runs on leftover artifacts, Layla's not even on any yet i can do floor 11 pretty well

Wanderer is not very strong but Faruzan c6 boosts his dmg by 80%. Bennet + shielder is his best dps team. alt teams: Layla + Mika/Diona (+35 CR), Beidou (interruption resistance, sub dps, AoE, works with CA) + healer
Shielder and best dps team probably shouldn't be in the same sentence lul. Venti/Kazuha or Yun Jin in the 4th slot make for his strongest teams, check out his speedruns on the golden house.
@@lonely_dolphin8923 i prefer comfort gameplay so i choose shielder or interruption resistance. speedruners generally use c6 characters, it doesn`t matter which team they used

for my wanderer i desided for artefacts that i wanna do a mixed 2 piece set , with ether being Anemo + atk% or 2 mixed atk% to give him overall more atk since my lvl 34 wanderer already has over 1000 atk with only one 2 piece atk set effect .
also i wanted to ask if Barbara as a healer with R5 Thrilling Tales could be a good option since i heard that wanderer cant be frozen while his skill is active , and for example if there is no shielder (or if the shield broke or duration expirerd) and gets hit wouldnt it might be a good idea to have a healer ?
Edit : Nvm about what i said about wanderer not being able to be frozen mid air , my stupidety has proven me wrong
He can still get frozen while in the air. He only cannot get frozen during the casting animation of the Skill.
You shouldn't need a healer if you built a good shielder character. The only exception is when you play a shielder and Bennett/c4+ Jean together, in which case then yes having healing is fine.

First option is the most balanced so that's what I'd go with. But objectively the third option is the best due to the high crit rate, its just that unless you're a speedrunner, having that high crit rate is usually not super necessary. If you can hit 80% crit rate with the same CV then that would be pretty ideal
so if im getting this correctly giving him my r2 prayers of the sacred winds or whatever is better than an r5 widsith?

Your teams section could be better, scara has some really good team comps you haven't listed that most f2p will most likely be able to get or have. My current is yelan, xingqiu if you don't have, layla, and Bennett is a real fun team to run melt freeze team. Faruzan is nice but not needed.

No, his Normal Attacks even in flight are considered NA damage, not Skill damage. Its mentioned in the Talent itself. The only thing that set is going to boost is the initial E damage when he flies up, which is basically nothing

Does mean Kazuha, Nahida and Yelan are must pull for first priority instead characters meant Dps elemental playstyle? If Wanderer far must pull, does mean he's weak to worth Dps primogem role than Kazuha, Kokomi, Yelan and Nahida.
I mean you can carry teams the same or more with Nahida, yelan or kazuha, and the best part is that they don't need to be the main dps on field, they just also work on the back, so yeah I think those 3 are the best, also raiden and maybe zhongli if you need to be more confortable not dying

I main him with ganyu and xingqui and I swap the last character often depending on what elements I need but mainly venti and diluc or klee
The second build is better. 50% crit rate is borderline unplayable. You're better off critting more often with less damage than less often with more damage

Just go for what you want, it's a game after all. I also would benefit far more from Kokomi as my main team is freeze, but for one I also have Mona and well Wanderer is my favorite character.

Kokomi is not the best character for hydro application anyway. She's mostly a character for team consolidation for freeze and niloom (by providing both some hydro and heal). For hydro app you're better off with Yelan, XQ or even Ayato.

C4+ Jean is always a good option for Anemo DPSes, but the biggest problem is Jean's Burst doesn't last very long and the AoE isn't huge either, so depending on the enemies and Wanderer's field time this may or may not be a problem. She's still a good option if you don't have C6 Faruzan though

what do you mean? My Ganyu hits like 40-50k per charged shot, why is everyone saying Ganyu is bad? I am so confused...

Wanderer is a pretty normal DPS, so he's pretty far from a must pull. You should make your decision based on whether you like the character or not

I’m so happy I just pulled wanderer on my 73rd pull and pulled faruzan on my 62nd 🥹 as a f2p felt well earned! Excited to build them up and follow some advice on these guides for both of them
