  • Forgotten by the Crown poverty in UK | ENDEVR Documentary
Watch 'Work Hard to Survive' here: • Work Hard to Survive -...
It’s the great English paradox. If the country has a historically low unemployment rate of 3.6%, poverty is breaking all records: today, more than 15 million Britons are considered poor… That’s almost a quarter of the population!
Galloping inflation and the explosion of energy costs in recent months and forced millions into poverty. But there is also the hyper-flexibility of wages and the growing uberization of hundreds of thousands of self-employed people… All aggravated by more than 10 years of severe cuts in social assistance initiated under the government of David Cameron and a disengagement of the State in the public services…
As a result, the United Kingdom, which had only a few dozen food banks in 2010, now has more than 2,000… Life expectancy is stagnating, even declining in the most disadvantaged regions where people die 10 years earlier sooner than elsewhere, victim of what is known as “s*** life syndrome”, literally the s***ty life syndrome: a deadly cocktail of multiple pathologies and addictions.
So, millions of Britons engage in voluntary work to make up for the shortcomings of the government. This is the advent of the “Big Society”, a society of charities, charities, theorized in 2010 by the then Prime Minister: David Cameron, the architect of the austerity policy!
We went to meet England’s working poor, the working poor, all forced to rely on solidarity to survive. From Blackpool, a seaside town in the north-west plagued by poverty, to the green county of Cumbria on the Scottish border, one of the most rural in the country, where public transport and services have become almost non-existent, via Ashton -under-Lyne, a factory town paralyzed by the absence of economic prospects, plunged into a Great Britain.

the fact that parliament is gated and heavily guarded says a LOT about what the people inside those gates know full well what their decisions are doing to the people outside of those gates.
If they were making decisions that benefit the people, and we don't ask much we don't want to be like they are , they wouldn't have to have bars and guards outside of parliament.
They assume that everyone wants to live on the same level they do and that if they give us one inch we will then "steal" 10 million miles from them. They can not possibly understand that this isn't the case.
They can only assume that everyone wants the exact same standard of living that they have, and they aren't willing to allow that to happen.
they don't understand that people just want a roof and food and a fairly decent standard of living in order to continue working.
It truly seems to me that the British government and hierarchy are actively trying to suicide their own country, like they are actively trying to destroy their own nation.
It doesn't just appear this way it must be this way. It's so difficult to understand why.

Any entity of sufficient prominence, such that an attack is likely to generate high degree of infamy, will unfortunately require protection. Free media made sure of that.
Hedonistic treadmill says that most people will constantly want more, but it tend to be a rather slow creep. So no, people will not want "10 million miles" from them, but always one more inch. I don't think they are doing enough, but it's also not always so simple and clear cut as you think it is.

Helping the most in need also allows others to thrive. My friend and I have both started our careers and are both just starting to become financially secure. Both of our mothers are not capable of working, so they live in subsidised housing and live on disability payments. The actual amount of money given to them is very small (less than $20k per year), but the fact that they have just enough to live on means my friend and I are able to work on our own financial security for the future. If our parents were in a "heat or eat" situation then we'd have to spend money to resolve it and that would put us back in poverty, vulnerable in the future.

Glad to hear that they protested Maggie and the poll tax. How dare she want to tax the wealthy people more. They also want lower energy prices. Maggie was so greedy that she shut down inefficient coal mines. She was not bright. She shut down mines that charged more money for lower quality coal that polluted more and produced less power than coal coming all the way from Australia. Imagine someone is not smart enough to understand that the companies sending coal from Australia that produces more power with less pollution for a lower price is ripping people off. It makes more sense to keep the mines going that provide less power for more money and put out more pollution. Especially because the only reason the coal that was not good cost more was because it had to travel several miles. The Australian stuff was easy. All it had to do was get taken to a ship, sail to England, get unloaded and be delivered to the power plant. Good thing they protested that. Lol it's awesome to see people who have to eat crow but not be smart enough to eat. Then you can watch them develop hunger pains and starve. You guys are brilliant mate. Thug in piece Maggie and Enoch!

In the section with charity buses they mentioned that the area is equivalent to Luxembourg.
It’s very ironic. I live in Luxembourg and all public transport is free of charge (well paid by my taxes, but I am fine with it). We are talking buses, trains and the one tram we have. I find it satisfactory, but we still often complain. I will absolutely stop now.
Depriving people of public transportation is social exclusion and reaches vulnerable people. Medium and high earners will be fine. They can afford a car.
How come someone allowed public transport to be private? It’s a public service. It’s not supposed to be profitable.
Sometimes I get angry they take almost half of my salary in taxes and we have issues of working poor as well. But at least they can get a free bus ride to work or the doctor.
It’s so absolutely sad to see elderly people abandoned by their own country.
God bless all the people that help with food, accommodation and transport. You make me regain faith in humanity.

The first thing the King did after the coronation was to give 1 billion to charities to help the poor. They pay 85% income tax on their private income and get 25% of that back to finance their royal duties and maintain Crown properties. Most of what you think They own are actually Crown properties I.e. held in trust for the people. It is Parliament who has the responsibility for managing the money.
Things are bad all over but the money spent on one day of war could house and feed the whole world for a year. The government is the one controlling war budgets not just UK but worldwide.

They call it helping the struggling people but a large percentage of people have put solar in their homes with governments funding already and this result in them getting credits on their bills anyway and now they will just have larger credits on their bills, but the bottom line is that the billions of dollars are in the energy companies banks? What is this?
