You do realize you'd have to have a HUGE recovery in button wise when you return to Future Tone. Especially if ps5 has a PD game. So that's on you hiso. But seriously. If you don't use the PlayStation format it's just not gonna help when you get back to FT.
I'm going to wait for a western release for this game, I'm really excited because this'll be my first project diva game !!! I've played through the demo and it was a ton of fun :D I've seen a lot of negativity towards this game though? Its actually been quite discouraging. Like some people seem. genuinely pissed that it exists, and keep calling Sega lazy and stuff and I'm a bit confused because while this essentially is a port there's still enough new content gameplay wise (with mix mode) and there's still a lot of songs to play through? And it's also a good opportunity to introduce a new group of players to this series who don't have a PlayStation... I don't really get the people who are angry about some of the frame rate drops in the pvs either because It doesn't actually affect the gameplay? I dont know, perhaps I'm just too naive? :O
From what I can understand the content is diffrent and some songs were cut that people really liked, but from what im seeing people are mainly saying "im not going to spend my money on this game when the ps4 version has more songs I like" which- I dont think this game was meant for people who already own FT, but if you only have a switch, it should be a pretty fine game with most if not all of the difficulties there.
They seem to be out of stock from people buying it right now for this game, but they usually restock within a week. Try play asia or japan codes supply
If you want the game, you need to make a new, separate Japanese Nintendo account and buy it digitally via the eshop. There's also a demo that you can try on the JP eshop. Personally, I'd wait until the English localisation of the game, as it would be easier to buy. Hope I was able to help in some way. ^^
Good review. I haven’t tried the mix mode yet but I think you’ve sold me. For those into arcade mode - which controller have you been using? I find the dpad and the joysticks on the pro controller incredibly sensitive, and the joycons are hard to grip. T_T
Ownsadog I know lol but it’s just really sad because unlike most rhythm games they are not limited to one type of music (vocaloid) unless we think about band dream or something similar like that. But I really want edit mode back so I can play vocaloid and nonvocaloid songs that would never be in the game. At least we have ppd and the f servers still up tho.
9:13 I was able to get to this page but I can’t find any online retailers that sell digital nintendo eshop for 1000+ yen. The ones that I have found claim they were ‘outsold’. Any help?
Why no edit mode!!!! Literally there's a lot of people who are anxious to make an edit. I personally enjoy edit mode, I love playing other peoples edits of there hard work they put into it. Literally the songs you play over and over gets boring at some point that you got to edit songs to play something new. That's what keeps the game fresh.
@@corpseparty3273 Nowadays you can't make anything cool anymore. You cant make custom icons on Mario Kart like on Mario Kart DS because people could make onscene drawings, you can't have Miiverse because people could use it for evil like drawing penis, you can't have Flipnote Studio because it can be used for piracy of music and porn, you can't have voice chat on Pokémon since DS era because people could say swear words, you can't make custom Wario Ware microgames anymore because people could make porn games and unlicensed content. What's next? Smash Bros without stage builder and Mario Maker 3 without custom levels??
@@alinepiroutek8932 it's good that developers remove some things, but removing customization entirely to everyone is just too much that probaly the game won't even live long to be played unless they compensate for the removal of customization, or they just ban the people from customization. It sucks that you cant do anything you want in games anymore.
What a shame. Based on the controller's trajectory, I thought it would be possible to hold the controller vertically so it moves left to right instead of that awkward movements
Had you encountered any gameplay issues such as macros and input errors? Also with mix mode, my controls are inverted for some strange reason. You know a fix for that?
not for gameplay with my ps4 controller, but if your joycon is inverted hopefully you fixed it by now but otherwise I would reconnect the controllers, it gets angry when multiple controllers are plugged in lol
Hey so I’ve been trying to find the answer to this but I can’t find it :( Is it possible to change the singer for certain songs? Like to make Len sing Snowman instead of Kaito, ‘cause I know you can do that in ft.
Sega said the restrictions on game content were because of Switch cartridge space. And Edit Mode was scraped ages ago because it promoted Music Piracy.
Honestly I enjoy diva x a lot more than future tone, at least it has something more to it than just play the song and the fact it doesn’t have chance time or even technical zones really makes it more boring not to mention a lot of Pvs look like shit
Yeah tbh I found the disappearance of the arrows and scratch notes such a shame, as well as the other Hold note. However I purchased the game to see if it is worth it after all, I think that it may be because it is way harder to play
You sound so bored of this game and dislike it in japanese yet you get it early can I have it please...? My birthday is white day and I am poor and ....nothing it will completely make my day....everything
I want it because multi notes in the ps4 controller are a pain and playing project diva in a big screen is not that fun (for quige obvious reasons). And its less of a cash grab than the game that literally added just one song and two new modules (one of which its provably the ugliest in the entire series)
What??? You know that megamix is just a future tone with toon shader and has less than a half of the songs with higher price. And if you want to have more songs you have to buy season pass. Also future tone has added alot more than one song and the 9 new songs from the megamix will come to the future tone. So which one is the cash grab now??
@@samuelkuokkanen1841 no i meant that future tone dx is just one more song. Literally i dont like to play the game other than handheald; even with setups there is a bit of input lag which makes it annoying. I preffer to play rythm games with direct inputs. Besides I like the toon shader and they added a full new game mode. They removed most of the edit ports which I am not mad at all cause most were bad and for bad songs. It could be better but I guess they also didnt try hard into getting all 10 new songs with new pvs because some of them wanted their original creations to make it into the game apparently. Besides I am not considering buying a ps5 and since this year it has been hinted that will be the release (because of some games releases on the game awards), I want to keep playing pd in a system that has longevity. Yes the season pass plusd the game are almost up to 100 dolars but the even when I played it on the ps4 it never fellt correctly as hold notes are nnoying cause the d pad makes it so that you can only use to buttons. And since it removes the edit songs mainly (which include alot of not interesting songs which I provably never even played) it secure that I will atleast play once all the main songs and the dlc. Yes I wish kowase kowase, kokoro, meltdown, and lovers suicide in oblivion were in the main game. But I guess the ps4 version felt more like a rushed port while this one is a bit more polished cause the hard button combinations are possible now.
@@sirdragonmoon7092 Yes I agree what you are saying . I just hate that they cut out so many songs and now they are bringing them back and want us to buy them with ridiculous amount of money and that probably doesn't include all the missing songs.
@@samuelkuokkanen1841 Is it half the content for the same price though really? Futture Tone had 200+ songs but you basically had to buy the game in two forms. Both of which cost near full price, with Future and Colourtones being the two ones. Future being F/F2nd and Colourful being Mirai/Arcade.
I think you have it a little mixed up - DX had two new songs (ghost rule and sand planet) and two new modules (ghost rule and miku 10th anniversary), not one song and two modules. I think considering it a totally separate game is dishonest - DX is literally just a physical release of FT (which itself was a port of Arcade) with the DLC bundled in. You are treating it as if it's a separate game entirely, which is simply untrue. By constast, megamix is honestly more of a cash grab, as it's literally half of FT's content, while the content that was carved out is slowly being sold back as DLC. That's extremely unethical.

The new mode is fun but it's destroying my wrists no matter if I rest my hands or hover them. You really have to hyper extend to reach the edges.
Nice review, i thought that the mix mode is just a lazy addition to this game but the hard charts looks very fun to play.
I count it as 7 new outfits counting because of the tshirts, which the Extra characters don't get :(
Hey Hisokee! Can you maybe do a play through of ROKI in both modes? I wanna see if it still looks weird or they fixed it. I heard it was in BETA mode when they revealed it.
I can't wait for this game to come in the states so i can play another project diva besides f2 on the go plus dreaming chu chu
I’m getting it in the mail today omg-
lol
@Park Chaeyoung Lucky! I’m jealous. Where’d you get it from? Maybe I’ll look into it...
Ownsadog I got it from Playasia
I don't think I can get used to this XD I hope I could

If anyone needs JP Eshop cards I'd say Playasia is pretty good for it. That's how I got the game Tbh, also you don't need to make a new account, just go into "My Nintendo" and change the region. It'll require you to restart the switch but everything stays and works perfectly
Octoomy I’m not sure if it’s a glitch or anything but it says for me playasia is out of stock on JP cards. ;-;
@@NyanMart So here's what I did:
Search up “5000 yen” then look up “2000 yen” two cards with Mario's face should appear. Those are the digital eshop cards!
Does anyone know a good place to buy Nintendo Eshop JP cards? I tried playasia but they were sold out :(
Order a copy from Amazon.jp or you could buy the more expensive Eshop cards from Ebay

japancodesupply.com/ is also reputable

Mega39s is based on Arcade, which doesn't have the Diva Room unfortunately. :(
I dont have a ps4 and I didn't want to buy one just for pd so I'm glad it came to the switch and when I have enough money im gonna get it
If I have to wait too long for this game, I’ll start saving for a digital code
have you ever seen a 9-minute live ?? well here it is
You do realize you'd have to have a HUGE recovery in button wise when you return to Future Tone. Especially if ps5 has a PD game. So that's on you hiso. But seriously. If you don't use the PlayStation format it's just not gonna help when you get back to FT.
for me it was worth it i don't have a ps4 only ps3 i had the project diva f and f2.
I'm going to wait for a western release for this game, I'm really excited because this'll be my first project diva game !!! I've played through the demo and it was a ton of fun :D
I've seen a lot of negativity towards this game though? Its actually been quite discouraging. Like some people seem. genuinely pissed that it exists, and keep calling Sega lazy and stuff and I'm a bit confused because while this essentially is a port there's still enough new content gameplay wise (with mix mode) and there's still a lot of songs to play through? And it's also a good opportunity to introduce a new group of players to this series who don't have a PlayStation... I don't really get the people who are angry about some of the frame rate drops in the pvs either because It doesn't actually affect the gameplay? I dont know, perhaps I'm just too naive? :O
From what I can understand the content is diffrent and some songs were cut that people really liked, but from what im seeing people are mainly saying "im not going to spend my money on this game when the ps4 version has more songs I like" which-
I dont think this game was meant for people who already own FT, but if you only have a switch, it should be a pretty fine game with most if not all of the difficulties there.
what sort of online retailers can we buy the code from?
They seem to be out of stock from people buying it right now for this game, but they usually restock within a week. Try play asia or japan codes supply
@@hisokeee owo thank you hisokee
I changed my region to jpn and I can't find it I'm so mad smh
If you want the game, you need to make a new, separate Japanese Nintendo account and buy it digitally via the eshop. There's also a demo that you can try on the JP eshop. Personally, I'd wait until the English localisation of the game, as it would be easier to buy. Hope I was able to help in some way. ^^

I have the PS4 Project Diva, but tbh I just want the portability of being able to take it around since Project Mirai only does so much.

Good review. I haven’t tried the mix mode yet but I think you’ve sold me. For those into arcade mode - which controller have you been using? I find the dpad and the joysticks on the pro controller incredibly sensitive, and the joycons are hard to grip. T_T
u can buy adapters that allow ps4 controller on switch, check on amazon
@@hisokeee Will do, thanks for the tip :^)
Yeah i have that game
Honestly I do want this game but for the series in general I have little hope unless we get edit mode back
@Hayden Lines, we’re most likely not getting edit mode back because there aren’t restrictions on music piracy

Ok, so how do I make the buttons sound the same for every song?
Right now I have to change everytime '*'
Have you tried the module change option in the main menu? Changing anything in there should work globally across the whole game.

It promoted music piracy so they havent added it to the recent games
@@MariaCruz-gh2xy damn that sucks.....
Is it impossible to hold it vertically?
Unfortunately no
an update, I found it is possible to play vertically sort of if you play with sensitivity options that i recently found out.
What a shame. Based on the controller's trajectory, I thought it would be possible to hold the controller vertically so it moves left to right instead of that awkward movements
is it working with normal e shop prepaid cards or do i need a japanese eshop card ?
japanese prepaid card for jp eshop
I tried the demo and its kinda harder im so used to the ps4 controller
You can easily switch it back to PS4 layout.

Had you encountered any gameplay issues such as macros and input errors?
Also with mix mode, my controls are inverted for some strange reason. You know a fix for that?
not for gameplay with my ps4 controller, but if your joycon is inverted hopefully you fixed it by now but otherwise I would reconnect the controllers, it gets angry when multiple controllers are plugged in lol

no edit mode no buy
:(
Hey so I’ve been trying to find the answer to this but I can’t find it :(
Is it possible to change the singer for certain songs? Like to make Len sing Snowman instead of Kaito, ‘cause I know you can do that in ft.
yes you can, i explained in the video lol
hisokeee Oop- Guess I should’ve rewatched it lol
They could’ve added the diva room and even edit mode but nope 😔
Why diva room? The switch has a relatively small memory unless you go for the 1 tb card. And items are not unlocked just bought.
Sega said the restrictions on game content were because of Switch cartridge space. And Edit Mode was scraped ages ago because it promoted Music Piracy.
@@gabrielmonge418 they also wanted to charge you more money for a season pass to get access to 36 songs future tone already has

If the game played like F2nd, then maybe I would've considered buying it. I really don't like how FT plays
Yeah tbh I found the disappearance of the arrows and scratch notes such a shame, as well as the other Hold note. However I purchased the game to see if it is worth it after all, I think that it may be because it is way harder to play

Can you change the language to English in the settings 😯
Not until the Western release
Sorry hisokee looks like sach already beat you
"there is NO story so"
_Well, I'm out._
The only story we got in a diva game was pretty plain tho
@@sirdragonmoon7092
Yes I agree what you are saying .
Dude, play something else decides this all the time...
