This guy simply goes and casually make and play the best riffs of every Nile album, like? WTF how does one come with these rhytmically and harmonical ideias and even after that, make it sound good in a song structure. Dallas, you're simply one of the greatests Death Metal songwriters out there.
I am from Russia, from the distant Urals, I am 39 and I have been listening to Nile for many years. And for me Nile is forever associated only with you. You are a cool technical guitarist.
I mean absolutely no disrespect to NW - which is a killer and totally different beast - but this is my idea of heaven to see you blasting these songs again
Love it and love everything you do! Please do a playthrough of The burning pits of the Duat. The world need to be dominated like that again. Thank you for you and all the best from Sweden! Andreas
@@dallastoler-wade Wow! That is fantastic news! Some of those songs have been with me for decades and, i believe, are unbeaten to this day. To be able see the master himself perform them will, as a player myself, be a longstanding dream come true! Thank you brother!
I've only recently started getting into Nile and death metal in general and I am consistently blown away by your incredible musicianship. Listening to the recordings is a visceral, overwhelming experience (in a good way), but seeing you play this gives me a whole new appreciation for the music and you as a guitarist and composer. Not only can you play the shit out of your guitar, but your songwriting is unlike anything else I've ever heard. I think the reason I didn't appreciate death metal before was that I couldn't pick up on the underlying musical structure, but Nile changed that. There's clearly a very cerebral element to the music, but when I'm listening to it, I don't listen analytically-I feel it powerfully in my body as a visceral and emotional experience. All the work you put into the music isn't just riff-wanking. The insane playing is truly in service to the song. In summary, we're not worthy!
Wow, this is wonderful to see and hear! To me you were, and are, the voice of Nile and one of the finest Death Metal vocalists ever. And seeing this and how tight you play, in a perfect world you and Pat O'Brien would be the guitar duo writing disgustingly good metal. Cheers and I'll be following all things happening here 😊
Email me at Dallas@narcoticwasteland.com and we can set something up. I don't normally advertise it but I do have some students and have been teaching on and off for many years. Thanks!
The idea in my mind that giving up another half of a collaborative team in this case Dallas and Karl for all those Nile records that are untouchable to this day,to give that up in my mind, I don’t understand how you do it unless it’s just you can’t live with each other anymore.Having said that,I respect what he wants to do and if this is how he wants to play his music more power to him and all this shit rips too.Nott a damn thing wrong with any of this. I’m totally into it. Nile is a shell of band without Dallas. How about that?
You tuned the Charvel Star to B standard with Mammoth Slinkys, right? So it's possible to play Nile songs without drop tuning. I think it's a cool idea 🤘🏼
Dude he WAS and IS a major part of Nile The legacy has been created Now its just another band bro good, but not what it was Now Dallas is conquering new territory
Hands down my favorite song off the ATGOS album... Finally get to see it performed irl. Would you consider doing a play through of “The Essential Salts” off Ithyphallic?🤘🏻🤘🏻
We need you back in Nile 🤘🤘🤘
happy new year Dallas🔥

Yes Dallas 🤘 so many great tracks that never made it to the live setlist, but they are brutal 🤘 come back!
God damn man the alternate picking at 0:44 is impressive as hell! Being able to go THAT fast with good technique and staying so relaxed is my dream
🤘🔥🎸 Nasty
This is violent. Wow.
If there ever is a Nile Reunion tour…..I’m here for it
Absolute genius on display here.

For this playthrough I did drop the one string down to A and it handles it well!! Thanks for watching!
Nile is nothing without him
I disagree. Sure it's different now but he wasn't the only thing keeping the band together. They still sound absolutely amazing.
Nile is still awesome. I love Narcotic Wasteland too.
