  • Yes, jaromir jagr is still playing and just began his 36th pro season with kladno and got a point. His number 68 is being retired by the pittsburgh penguins this season and somehow he's still playing pro hockey . This is different from the nhl highlights today and news / trade rumors coverage, if you like it make sure to like and subscribe. On this channel we cover everything nhl hockey on a daily basis, but like to mix in rankings, top 10, mic'd up and on-ice funny moments and videos similar to this one. Im gonna go watch jaromir jagr highlights after this and I can't wait for his pittsburgh penguins jersey retirement and his interviews leading up to it. Nhl 2023

Just before he left the Pens he was really slacking because he was fighting with Lemieux and in the middle of one game he decided to take his anger out by completely submarining one of the opponents. Got a huge applause.

@@untitled568He was just as dominant as them in his prime. Just look at his lost season of ‘99-‘00. At the end of Dec ‘99 he was on pace to score 70-80+ goals, rack up 170-180+ points and finish 40+ points ahead of the entire rest of the league in the scoring race. But the glorious Garage League NHL wasn’t about to allow HIM to enjoy a season like that. Jan ‘00 the refs put away their whistles and his record shattering season was destroyed thanks to a cheap shot by Mike Peca that left him with a haematoma in his leg and forced him to miss 12-15 consecutive games. The only thing the Garage League and the North American media say is- in an era of reduced scoring he won with 96 points” - it’s fucking bullshit

When he was in Dallas I was playing mens hockey twice a week. He was staying in a hotel across the street from that rink and after our mens league games he would skate. He'd have all his weights on, the vest, pushing tires and shit. He would have a younger guy or two and they would pass to him and he would take a bunch of shots. But mostly he did edge work and tight puck handling drills. we usually got off around 1130, midnight and he would be out there an hour or so. What was crazy to me is he didnt want them to zam the ice. He wanted it all chewed up because it created resistance and the puck could roll or hop around and he wanted that challenge. He was cool too, didnt care we would hang out for 10/20 minutes drinking beer and watching him. He would sign shit to if you caught him before or after. super chill dude.

Jaromir Jagr - one of the best hockey players of all time in world! 👍 I very happy what he stay in game, and wish him to play so much how he want. I not agree with people whom think what age is so important. Sure, high age players not so fast like young, but they have they uniq advantage: skill, experience and high reading game IQ. Space class hockey players like Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr have only they health limits to play the game, but not age limits. No need to be young for make good pass, find better position around the net or deke a def in front. No need to be young for it if you have experience and skill: to make pass in time or shot because you can read play forward on one or two steps; you can feel where you must be to get puck in good position; you can read what def doing and what mistake he doing or you can catch him on deke move to go where you need for to pass him easy - what is experience + skill can do. 👌

The most Jagr thing to do would be to miss his retirement ceremony because Kladno needs the extra skater

The mind is there and the strength and power also. But it’s the recovery that dosent come as fast. That drive to play is also down. But a half ass Jagr is better than most players. Not saying he’s half assing it.

ummm.. Guy Lafleur comes to mind immediately, # retired in '85, stopped playing maybe in '90, at least two years after he had been inducted into the hall of fame. Maybe Lemieux, maybe Bobby Hull? maybe Gordie Howe?
