      I go to the beach in a place called Lanikai, MULTI million dollar homes... nothing BUT millionaires as residents... and maybe one in 4 garages are actual luxury vehicles. I see mostly everyday cars, many of them over 10 years old being driven by these rich people. Ikura Burst well there are plenty of educated rappers that have degrees and are smart. I’m a car guy, so buying a fun car to drive is better then a boring point A to B car. Some rich people wana spend money on luxury or fast cars. I don’t see a problem with it just like people wana spend money on a nice updated house. Happy birthday Thomas!! I'm 70 now and worked on my old stuff but it was much easier to work on. I just watched a video of a guy working on an OLD car, with points and he didn't "get it". Could not get the car to start. I remember using a match book cover to "gap" the points in an emergency. Hey! Got me going and to the house. I haven't kept up with auto mechanics like I should and now get frustrated with the "codes" my worthless scanner gives me. Course Scotty says a fancy scanner will give you real, useable info. But I don't want to spend a grand or more on something I'll need once in a blue moon. I prefer the old days, when almost everything could be handled by a shade tree mechanic. Me.

      J 87 he's not laughing because it's not like he's going to spend it on anything, so where is the excitement? like how can you have a huge car channel on TH-cam, and only drive a Celica? Buy something interesting and have a little bit of fun. Show people it's ok to enjoy their life. You can't take anything with you so ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN.

    • @realpilBMF
      @realpilBMF 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @BE READY you obviously missed the whole point and plot of his channel. He obviously DOES enjoy his life and what he is doing! Plus he is paying to put all his grandkids through college full paid! He has a house in Tennessee and has a vacation home on the ocean in Rhode Island. He has no boss and is financially free. That is definitely something worth enjoying! Some people do not enjoy overpaying and being taken for suckers. Maybe it’s a concept you don’t get. Also he stated he’s actually not even into cars, he is into motorcycles! And he has several motorcycles for excitement. For example, plenty of plastic surgeons are not actually into the product they sell, and their spouses and kids are average looking but do not engage in the Plastic Surgery industry. Once you know how an industry actually works, you are less enamored with the product it creates.

      Being a millionaire is actually common, young guy Haha. Good job! Keep it up, vaunguerd is good, too. I saved up just under 100k and lost it all. But check up with me on the future and I guarantee I'll be up again. I used to be homeless too. And never ever accepted food stamps or help from the government. In fact I pay them extra for the money my grandma got to take care of me, because my parents died and I lost a unmentionable amount of inheritance, from my own family, friends and other people that came out of nowhere. But I know that it's still possible :)

    A lot of what Scotty espouses is consistent with established guidelines to become wealthy. The biggest is: Don't spend more than you make. Read the book, "The Millionaire Next Door" by Thomas Stanley and William Danko. Good stuff. And while we're on the subject, I'm no millionaire, but I bought one car brand new in my lifetime for myself, and that was in 1982. Before and since, I paid cash on a used car. Sure, it's not the prettiest nor does it have all the bells and whistles, but when you're sitting behind the wheel, you don't know what the car looks like, and the people that you are trying to impress aren't paying for the car. So, as long as you have 4 wheels and a seat that can get you from Point A to Point B, you're good. As to needing repairs, yes, older cars do have stuff that wears out and needs fixing, but newer cars need maintenance, too. And it's a whole lot different paying $300 - $400 for a repair a few times a year than it is paying that amount EVERY MONTH for 4 or 5 years! So, be smart and rev up your investments!

    • @carlosmatos9848

      I never spend the money on the latest and greatest, because a week or month or year from now it won't be anything special anymore. Especially cellphones. I always buy a used one off ebay for $100 or less, as long as it can make calls and has a web browser I could care less if it has a retina scanner or 6" 4k display.

      @@carlosmatos9848 good point. You'd have to first check to see if the ebay phone works with verizon. And then have to go to verizon store. they will try to up sell you to a new one, and may say that the old phone is no longer supported. I only use the phone for web browsing and VOIP calling over wifi, I do not, and and have never, and will never pay for a cell phone plan from any phone carrier. But i'm retired, so I dont need 100% phone coverage quality 100% of the time .

    • @carlosmatos9848
      @carlosmatos9848 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@6955beniegn Then yeah in your case the ebay phones are perfect. I don't always have access to wifi so that's why i've got the phone and data plan. I usually just buy a phone that's made in the last 2 or 3 years, works fine for me.
