Currently busy at almost the same setup which will be ready end December. I have a 4.10 40% LSD which I used in the day with the original B25 engine. It was a joy to ride, but terrible on the highroad for 120 km/h cruising speed. Already decided that I will go to a 3.91 or 3.73 with the M20B29. Not sure what to pick, any suggestions? Car will be used for fast road mountain driving / Nurburgring Nordschleife, however also for long trips towards France, Switzerland, etc..
I found that 3.73 is the ideal one with the stroker. Even with 3.73 , the car spins 1st gear just with pressing the gas. I think that is not short and not long. I think 3.73 is the sweat spot for acceleration and crusing , i m even thinking if i find 3.64 to use it
@@xristodoulos88 Hi, I cannot tell it you yet as the car recently is finished, i have a 3.91 mounted. Will start with break in driving in a week or two. I will keep you updated. Hey mate, am in need of your advice on diff ratios. My stroker made around 250hp at the wheels, I'm running a 4.10 LSD on 16 inch wheels and it absolutely decimates the rear wheels when trying to accelerate in 1st, way too short for what I want, acceleration is faster if I just start in second as 1st is completely unmanageable. Am tossing up between a 3.45/3.46 or a 3.73 ratio, leaning more towards the 3.45/3.46 as I want a longer first gear for acceleration times. Would love to hear your thoughts on either, thanks.
Hello m8 . I have tested 3.73, 3.45,3.64 & 3.91 all lsd with 16 inch wheels. I have tested my car 2 days before on a dyno and it was 271hp at the engine. 3.45 is too long for me and not fun cz i wanted to rev the engine and get the feeling and sound but its like 160km with 3rd. 3.73 is good all around and 3.91 was nice for me. Its 120km 3250 rpm but its i dont do highways... if that its too short then best is 3.73(i havent noticed any significant difference with 3.64 over 3.73). I have tested 3.73 vs 3.45 with draggy and 3.73 produce faster times.. i havent tested 3.91 but i believe 3.91 will be ever faster for 1/4. Best 0-100 with 3.73 is 5.46 and with 3.45 is 5.98 seconds
