Always bring jackets and pants no matter where you go. We went to Miami one year and I nearly froze to death. I think I mostly took t shirts and shorts and they had a weird cool front come thru and I was cold the whole trip!!! I don't leave home without sweats or leggings and a warm jacket anymore!!!!❤❤ Also during the cooler months humidity can make it feel COLDER so if you aren't used to humidity it might be a bit of a surprise.
If you decide down the road you don’t want to spend as much time on your TH-cam channel, maybe start by just cutting down to one day. Personally Mondays are my favorite! From what you’ve shared, you both invest a lot of time to put your channel on. It’s such a wonderful channel, and I always look forward to watching it Monday mornings. Linda, I thought the same thing! Watching people dancing in the square was one of the things that made me want to be in TV! People seemed so happy and carefree! We have been here for 10 months and love it!

We had 2 lifestyle visits. For the first one, we brought some friends along but the reservation was under our names. For the second visit, the reservations were under our friends' names. So that's one way to work around the 1 per lifetime rule. So get yourself some friends! 😊 In the end, we both ended up "drinking the cool-aid" and purchasing either a lot or pre-built home. 😊
Most alcoholic beverage laws require licensees to control their premises (areas that they control with their licenses) to ensure that no alcohol is brought onto or out of those areas. Licensees are responsible for all alcohol consumption to ensure that people are not over-served. They cannot do that if people are bringing their own alcohol into those areas. I’m glad to hear that TV takes it so serious. I wish more people would. Alcohol is the most abused drug in the world. I’ve seen so much harm from it as a 34-year law enforcement officer.

Great show. I couldn't believe how dirty the old Nova filters were. I guess it's important to have the Nova system installed to avoid having that stuff in our water systems. Wow. The pet of the week is cute. And finally, the flatbread pizza looked so yummy. Take care and thanks again for doing these great videos.

Here in the Philippines, we've already passed the hottest part of our summer, and it's interesting to see the daily weather reports back there. Be happy and run longer any time you want.

As a retired elementary teacher I also spent my own money on school items. This is a wonderful thing you and your family are doing. I always give my daughter some money each year to help with her supplies.

I call that hour before sunset the “Golden Hour” … “Glorious” is a great word for it
… whether you just take a golf cart ride, or hop on the eBike, or take a walk around the retention ponds, … or (my favorite) a martini on the lanai 🍸
You’re right, can’t see the Villages in two hours. But I had a few friends who did that exact thing (stopped by for a visit). What I did was take them on a drive around Brownwood (seeing some of the neighborhoods), then to Eisenhower rec center (IMHO, the best one) and drive over the Southern Oaks bridge for a great view of the golf course and the new development around Eastport … a little bit of the old, the new and the future.
We too love Sunny Pint. We took our vehicle to Wildwood Tire for service and walked down CR44 as it was pretty close. Loved it 👍🏻 Yummy. 😋 Friendly people. Oh, and I love the burger at Ski Beach in Leesburg (I know, it’s outside the bubble 🙄)

Holy Cow!!! No second Lifestyle allowed? We definitely needed the 2nd Lifestyle visit to nail down an area and become more "oriented." Especially now that TV are so much larger! Perhaps they took into consideration that we flew all the way from CA? So this is what I would suggest to anyone needing a second visit: Really make a connection with your Villages Sales rep. They may be able to assist you in that regard. Do the max number of days for the 1st visit. We also rented a house in a different area for a week so that we could see what an actual 'lived in' neighborhood felt like. It was very helpful. Good luck to everyone visiting!🤞 Great show J & L👏

My husband has misplaced his phone with his license and debit card in that phone compartment. Not a good idea. I used to work for a company that determined whether or not a home was in a flood plain (according to the official FEMA maps.) Flood insurance has some VERY specific limitations. Water damage NOT caused by a flood due to rain (other rain damage, a flood caused by a water main leak, an overflowing bathtub, etc) is NOT covered by flood insurance. And even if your home gets some flooding due to an actual flooding caused by rain, it has to meet a certain threshold for flood insurance to take effect. It's always best to talk to an insurance agent about *exactly* what is or is not covered by any insurance policy.

At our pool in St Charles, The Villages “pool patrol” won’t let people drink when they are in the pool. They make them take the drinks over to a table or lounge chair.
In fact, you must keep your drink behind the drain line.

I recently had an old high school friend surprise us with a visit. He was just here for about four hours and I took him for a golf cart ride and showed him as much as I could during that time. Before he left he said his interest was really peaked. Before he left, I told him he was welcome to come back anytime. The next day he called and said he would like to take me up on my offer to visit. I told him our schedule and he asked if he could return in a couple of days. To make a long story short, after giving him a four day tour of The Villages and hooking him up with some of the clubs he was interested in, he placed a deposit on a lot in the Village of Shady Brook and is coming back the second week of July to meet with the interior designers to pick out his options for his new home.

Another great show. As far as burgers, we go to Applebee's every Monday for the 6.99 burgers. All the burgers are on the menu are 6.99. Normally they are about 15 dollars. We eat at the bar because we enjoy socializing with the other patrons, and we like the bartender. They greet us and make us feel welcome. We tried World of Beer, but the burger and service was not to our liking. Your TH-cam show was great today. I love, both weekly shows, but I want you two to enjoy the Villages retirement, so if you went down to one show, as a viewer I would understand. Also, I think I asked before, but I can't remember where the answer was. lol. What size shirt does Linda wear? Oh, I also like the new pet segment. Have a great week.

But mainly I came by to say that I watched a Villages video a few months ago when they were giving an update on the Eastport area and I believe they said they were putting an Olympic sized indoor pool in the Olympia rec center! I went back and watched the video. Alas, not an indoor pool….but an indoor court for I think pickle ball or tennis and an indoor rock climbing wall. I still think the indoor pool would be great there.

We retire 6 years ago from Miami Florida, School System and UPS, and almost bought in The Villages, but The Little British Wife wanted less crowds and we love N C Florida just 25 miles to the Best Doctors and Hospitals and all the Shopping we need, Jerry and Linda we are in Alachua County and Alachua is an Indian Word and it Means…”SinkHoles”. Now you have a conversational Starter……
My mom fried hamburgers until they were like charcoal briquettes!!! 😭. It wasn’t until we left home that the kids found out that hamburgers were really good!

Great show. We found out about the lifestyle visit policy when we wanted to come back in August. Our first 2 were no problem. They said the third had to be organized through Chad and we didn't want him to have to do deal with all that. We decided to treat ourselves to an Air B&B designer home. Happy belated fathers day to you Jerry.
