    Lotta genjis in mid ranks will never blade unless you nano them. Sometimes you have to just hit the button and make em go.

    positioning is so important on ana. because you have no mobility to be able to quickly respond to pressure from the other team, you have to make it as costly as possible for them to apply that pressure so that by the time they get to you, they're at a disadvantage and you can take them down.
    as far as when to use cooldowns, the key thing to ask yourself about an aggressive biotic grenade (or even an aggressive sleep) is whether your team can / will follow up on that opening. biotic grenade's big value is that it multiplies the offense your team is putting out, so they have to be able to put out offense to get value with it.

    • @_coffeebee_

      also on the name thing. it could also be used to get cooldowns out not just a follow up attack. I guess the point could be made that is a follow up made but just saying.

    Walk the Hog is the strat, pretty straightforward. No flanks, no high ground, but safe positioning behind the tank. Nice when you have a solid, non-dive tank that can put pressure and take space. Probably need different positioning with other comps/players and if you want higher value plays. Especially with nade, much easier to land on high-ground or in a different position.

    One thing low rank Ana’s do (me included) is throw sleep for no reason. Someone said use all your cooldowns as much as possible but we don’t have the game sense to understand when it’s okay to throw it out va holding it. Like after the enemy captured second point and genji ulted, I think the Ana slept the Rein? And nothing came off it then their sojourn ulted and killed Ana.

  • @Steve_The_Weave

    Ana was very good. didn’t scope in much. and i found their nades were mostly fine, but they seemed to spam their sleep into crowds often. in one example a genji bladed in their face two seconds later. otherwise def deserving of plat/diamond

    • @_coffeebee_
      @_coffeebee_ 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think it is okay to throw your sleep randomly if you know there are no ultimates that can be canceled from it. it is also important to test whether or not anyone will dive you based on if you have sleep or not. so throwing sleep out a lot can be a good way to see how the enemies play, but also pay attention to ult charges u may need it for.

    what a great ana

  • @Real_MisterSir
    @Real_MisterSir 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

    Something I immediately notice, is lack of creativity in the positioning and angles they take.
    They have clearly nailed down the tried-and-true "how to play solid baseline positions in plat" which is great, but now they need to expand from that baseline.
    Currently, their default is "main". They push up through main, they fall back through main, they play very proper positions, very foundational, but also very predictable. The enemy team here never had to worry about what the Ana is doing (or could be about to do) because they always knew exactly where the Ana would be. Safe behind their tank in main at a respectable distance.
    Predictability is what is going to kill your gameplay from this point onwards. Having good safe positions and rotations when your team is doing well, is great! But when your team isn't doing well, how much of a chance do you set yourself up for in terms of being the difference maker and clutch some fights and swing the momentum on your own? Borderline zero. This makes you a sort of slave of your team, and the "team's holding me back" mentality exists specifically due to such playstyles where you're playing safe and proper and predictable.
    So my advice is, try to seek out more unpredictable positions when you see an opening for it, and open up the offensive angles towards the enemy team where they have to pay attention to multiple directions of engages/pressure potential. Even if you're just sitting at an off angle and still healing your tank, the mere fact you're at an off angle means the enemy has to respect your potential to suddenly start applying high pressure from that off angle, and they will either have to change their own positioning and give up space, or they will open themselves up for things like consistent big nades or easy double/triple hits on squishies to set up potential elims or confirm elims.
    Seek out positions that are off- from main, but not in a way where you're overextending. You have the benefit of no range penalty both healing and damage wise, so as long as your off angle also has easy access to LOS on your own team, that's all you need. Just be a little more creative, a little more daring, and see where the balance lies between safe and proper core value positions, and high impact potential carry angles. Once you get into Diamond you'll have to sharpen up your mechanics and finetune this balance to get into Masters, but one step at a time.

    • @SSsevenx
      @SSsevenx 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Literally, just don’t yeet your nade like this guy. Take the extra half second to make sure it’s a quality usage, it makes a big difference. Ideally at least 8/10 nades should be purple, be proactive with it, but sometimes waiting for the right moment to nade the enemy tank to make sure they are punished at the right time (when they are about half hp or less instead of full hp). Emongg said something about “don’t just use your abilities on cooldown”, but if you can anti heal the enemy team every 12 seconds then go for it, it lasts 3 seconds. The enemy could have no heals for a quarter of the entire match. Similar to hanzo sonic arrow, you can see through walls for half the entire game if you use it on cooldown. Obviously though, it’s not the best idea to throw nade as soon as possible every time, though it’s something to keep in mind

    i think the big problem here is the tank. he's playing so agressive. i mean: the first round on attacking he played well. But when they have to stop de payload it's when he doesn't cover and take a moment to get some healing. I saw lot of times when he has low hp, he doesn't care much. even when he's purpled for the enemy ana's nade when he has low hp, he doesn't care much It's like he's thinking "hey supports forget about the rest of the team, do your job and heal me, no matter what".

    «stop jumping» needs to stop. jumping makes u predictable, yes. FOR HEADSHOT HEROES. and players with good aim. If you are vs aoe dmg - the wider u swing ur body, the safer u are generally. crouch spam rockets all day, see who wins. Also, even vs hitscan jumps can be safer, cause u forget about elo. in metal "ezier to predict ur jump arc" doesnt mean they are able to predict it. Vertical movement is so much harder to aim against - genji proves it. In the game where most ppl just spam head lvl if u jump - at least it wont be a headshot.
    Yes, its controversial but its not that clear cut.
    it just seems to me that everyone just repeats that "jumping makes you easier to hit" like a mantra for years, without actually thinking about it.

    One bit of advice I would give to help is STOP jumping all the time. You don't do it nearly as much as others do but it's still there. I know it's a hard habit to break because I had to force myself to stop doing it. Took me like two weeks to stop lol. But I promise if you stop doing that your aim will improve and replacing the jump with AD strafing will get you killed a lot less. It's so funny because even GMs make the mistake even though they know it's a bad habit.

However nade is such a steong tool because anti is possible, looking for good anti’s is also really important and same with looking for a shot or 2 of damage now and again not trying to be a joke answer but they’re called *support* and not just healer. I'm just almost 5min in and I've seen multiple aggressive nades and moments of contributing damage. just because someone doesn't go full dps support doesn't mean they're playing healer. they're just focusing on keeping their tank up and contributing in other ways when they have the chance. support doesn't mean they're dpsing a lot and only healing a tiny bit. it's a balance. it's about doing what's necessary to help win the fight, and doing crazy amounts of damage and hitting huge antis on cooldown hasn't been necessary.
      don't get me wrong, getting better at support is always about finding ways to contribute more and more value, and yes, this person definitely has moments where they don't need to top their hog up immediately. but your criticism is just really overdramatic and exaggerated imo
