Oh gosh! Same here! I miss those giggles! I’m watching the video and giggling myself😂❤ I used to do that with my son when folding clothes ❤😂 he just gurgles, giggles and just loving the moment. Cherish those moments!
A bouquet of wild flowers is one hand picked by those who love you. My hubby when we were dating picked me some and put them in a Gatorade bottle because that’s all he had and it’s been a tradition ever since. My daughters favorite thing in the spring is to do that now and I love that even the weeds get some gratitude and attention here.
Please don’t EVER change anything about your videos. Every time I watch them, I get such a homesick feeling for days gone by. It’s like going back to days that you thought were forever gone.
My four year old daughter loves watching your videos with me (my two years old daughter often joind too!) and we really enjoyed today's video! She loves helping me in the kitchen with baking and bread and helping me in the garden. Sometimes I can even get her to pitch in and clean too ;). There's something wonderful about the two of us being inspired by your idyllic and curated snapshot of homemaking, and then rolling up our sleeves and getting busy with some of the same things in our own home. I think it helps her to see it all as a truly beautiful thing, and it reminds me to show joy and peace even in my very "mundane" routines. She tells me often she wants "to be a mommy just like you". Thanks for celebrating homemaking and consistently reminding me of the art and beauty of it, and also for making this a wholesome place to enjoy with my daughters!
Lisa's sourdough teachings and overall approach to home making has encouraged me more than any other channel / recipe book. I am an urban mum with 2 kids and a full time job and yet I have managed to incorporate baking all of our bread myself. No store bought bread since last summer. I fully credit her for that. Many sourdough bakers online make it feel complicated. I couldn't be happier with the results of Lisa's no fuss approach. She's the best!
I grew up with four brothers, and blessed with farm living during some of that time. Watching the children run for the barn in the rain really touched my heart. I'm 77, and those childhood memories don't come any sweeter.
Oh, my goodness! Your sweet baby boy is so cute! I'm under seven weeks away from delivering my first baby (also a boy), and this video just made me even more excited for him to come. Thank you for your encouraging and calming content.
Every time I’m in my kitchen doing all the everyday things, I picture myself as I see you in your home. I enjoy watching you pour yourself into your home and family and I find joy in doing that myself. There’s so much beauty in taking care of the spaces and people around us. I have the itch now to pull out my sewing machine and make something.
Those "weeds" are beautiful and some of them are medicinal, like that St. John's Wort, and maybe white Yarrow! And who doesn't love a purple Flox. Love that you see beauty in all the things Lisa. ❤
Mrs. Lisa, you’re amazing! I learn countless things with every video. My favorite things about your channel: you’re always diversifying the uses of the resources you already have- whether eggs or sourdough or even weeds❤️ mostly I love getting to see a lady pour herself into serving her family and the Lord! Oh how evident it is!
LOVE your audio- editing style of this video! The background piano music mixed equally with the daily sounds of cooking and family noises… beautifully done 💆♀️💓
I hope people start switching their mindset on weeds, weeds are just plants that are growing in places not wanted. I find wild flowers and what we call weeds just part of the ego system. Love that you incorporate them in your home.
@@krazedvintagemodel everything that grows has a purpose i believe. I love seeing beautiful lawns but feel they shouldn't be so large. I let my husband have the small front lawn for the grass and the back yard i let it go wild for the most part. Yes I have to move it but I don't mind letting whatever wants to grow, grow.
I would love if you did an ambience video of when it's raining, snowing, etc., and the beautiful calming piano mixed with pictures of your beautiful home. 💕
Omgoodness! That baby is adorable and I love hearing babies laugh. Our grdaughter blessed our family with twin boys 2 wks ago and I’m in love. Babies are such a blessing from God.
For the oatmeal custard, I just add my eggs to the oats with everything else before I turn on the heat and if you keep stirring it until it’s bubbly, then you don’t have to temper it and you will still have a creamy oatmeal without egg clumps.
As achild I enjoyed sitting at my grandmother's feet as she would sew with her vintage Singer. This is the legacy You are building to leave Your family both now and forever !❤❤😊😊❤😊
Speaking of sheets, you should check out Red Land Cotton company. The cotton is grown harvested in Alabama by a family farm, sheets are also made here in the good ole USA. I highly recommend you give them a try, their sheets are top 100% cotton. Ive had my sheets sets for 5 years and they still feel and look great.
I love hearing the children in the background while your cooking ❤ oh my goodness Victor is so adoreable and growing so fast! The linen bedding is beautiful.
I absolutely love when i watch other homesteading channels and they talk about your channel and when you talk about other homesteading channels. This is such a beautiful community ❤
Just had to come back to say S’mores, homemade S’mores for lunch! You are the best Mom ever!❤️ Also, I’m almost 70 and dancing in a Spring or Summer rain is something I enjoy every season. So good for the soul. Love those kids, running and squealing in the rain!
I absolutely love today's content! Lisa, you portray homemaking and motherhood with such beauty and grace. I love the variety that you share. From making custardy oatmeal and graham crackers to sewing a market tote bag, filling beautiful flowers in the window boxes, updating your framed pictures, etc you make it all so inspiring. I have to say that my favorite part is when you were out collecting wild flowers and your little boy was in the forground watching you (9:02) It was just a tiny glimpse but what a precious picture!!! Your family is blessed.
I didn't know you had your own book. I love how you made something you've made before and even have published in a book. It looks nice (the bag). I am glad I am not the only person who does her ironing at the table on a towel. I have been doing that my entire nearly 20 years of marriage. You got a very heavy rain that came in!
How pretty to see you out on that hill. I think of our moms and grandmas and all the moments they took care of children and husbands. It’s very special to capture the beauty of being a homemaker. Thank you!

I absolutely loved this video!!! The weed flowers are beautiful and your window box flowers and the rain and the delicious food and the market bag and your precious laughing baby and the wonderful s’mores….doesn’t get much better!!!!
Your videos are therapeutic to me. I’m a mom of 3 and I’ve been blessed by your content. My sourdough journey started because of you. I pray for you and your family. God’s blessings rain down on them.
I learn something new from you regularly Lisa and I am 62! I have always been a homebody and love to cook and bake from scratch but circumstances drove us to be a 2 income family a long time ago. But, my days off are all about homemaking, cooking, baking and making our little home comfortable for us but also our family and friends! As for your flowers aka weeds, they are bright and cheerful and welcoming new life with Spring! Thank you for being you!
Beautiful video! Lisa, you do everything with ease and it shows you are loving every minute of the work you are doing! Lucky family to have such amazing food and a sweet country environment to call home!
I have a request for a reel from you…I love how you braid your hair, I’ve always struggled with French braids but the way you do yours looks close but much easier. Can you do a tutorial pretty please 🙏

I got to spend the day with a lady in her farmhouse kitchen when I was a kid and now I’m an old woman and I still go back in my mind to that day often. I found peace and comfort there that I craved. Your kitchen reminds me of hers. I could almost feel that little breeze blowing in the window.
You have such a routine of doin things just amazing to watch!! Love your content. Victor getting so big , he’s precious. Thank you for sharing. God Bless your beautiful family🙏🤗
Hey! I just wanted to thank you - I’m a young mom of 3 kiddos (5,4,1) we are in our first year of homeschooling and I’ve been struggling with major overwhelm and paralyzation from that. Lately, I’ve started putting your videos on in the morning and just getting going with you. This morning I’ve got sourdough bagels in the oven and am finally tackling folding the giant pile of laundry I’ve been staring at for over a week. Thank you for helping us younger mamas 💜
loved this! I like seeing you do other things around the homestead, than just cooking. The shots of you, looking over your valley of flowers, were wonderful. Your whole place just looks so green and Springy. I, too, love a good storm!
When you add the tempered eggs to the oatmeal I thought…oh that’s how you make rice pudding so you are just making oatmeal pudding. It sounds delicious by the way! Great way to add protein and use up eggs just like you said!
I just made your sourdough dinner roll recipe and I am so excited! Not only were they absolutely delicious but it’s my first sourdough bread that I have made without yeast. Im so pumped now because that means my starter is happy and working well. I tried making my own starter twice before and it was a total fail but I guess third times a charm. Thank you Lisa for all the inspiration and encouragement you give to all your subscribers.
Thanks for sharing another great video 😊 A quick tip for you, I have a cafe and find it much quicker and easier to poach the eggs in water (no need to shell afterwards) then transfer to cold water once cooled grate on a cheese grater then add mayo etc 😊
I just can't love these videos enough ❤ Your kids are having such a wonderful childhood. Also i will be moving in a few months and these videos have deff convinced me to decorate all farm house. I find it so peaceful & calming ❤ Definitely calms my anxiety ❤🙏🤩🥰😘
As usual a beautiful video and there is something about a baby's laugh that puts a smile on my face ❤ the arrangement looks really nice. The children playing outside and your dog and one of your kids following you were just too cute 😅 I love spring and summer
Not sure if you thought of this but another delicious way to use up a bunch of eggs 🥚 at once is to make huevos con chorizo & super easy/quick - cook the chorizo and scramble eggs 🍳 mix together they are delicious on tortillas 🌮 and side of refried beans 🫘 they are for breakfast but honestly good any time of day 🥰
You got so much done! I don't see how you do it! Your videos are so calming and relaxing. An I'm going to try your oatmeal egg recipe. Eggs live too long in my frig and I love oatmeal! 😊 I enjoy seeing the baby! He's such a happy little guy. Each time he laughed, it made me laugh also! He puts a smile on my face every time we see him. Sourdough graham crackers, who would have thought! Genius!!❤
I didn't see that earlier! Wonderful. Yes,fresh well water on a farm is what I got grew up on. I want to buy a Berkey but they don't mail to Iowa because our govt says they don't remove enough particles?!

Lisa, I saw a recipe on Facebook for chocolate pudding using hardboiled eggs, blended up with sugar, milk, vanilla, salt and cocoa powder. It sounds gross but it was so delicious, and uses a dozen eggs all at once!
I love your videos. I am IN AWE of everything you do for your home and family. From your cooking to your decorating and gardening. You are a rock star! The world needs more moms that do what you do!
“The difference between a flower and a weed is a judgment.”
My little boy brings me weeds all the time and I put them in a vase
You have mastered the perfect balance of music, narration and kid background chaos noise. Feels calming yet relatable.
The giggling baby on the bed is so sweet and tender. I miss my babies who are all adults now.
Same for me.
Omg those giggles almost made me want to have a baby 😂

Lisa, I saw a recipe on Facebook for chocolate pudding using hardboiled eggs, blended up with sugar, milk, vanilla, salt and cocoa powder. It sounds gross but it was so delicious, and uses a dozen eggs all at once!
Someone else shared that too....I haven't tried it yet.
