When I first saw your post here I thought, "oh she's way too young for me." Since then I have been catching your videos here & there. Now I have to sit down after my supper hour in the evening to see what you've been doing for the day. I am the mother of 3 adult women & I am a 76 yr. old widow. I've always been a person who liked to be alone & never felt lonely or sad. I've been a widow for 7 yrs no & honestly I am not ever alone even when I am. My housekeeping skills have become so much less. I used to do a lot of stay at home Mom things when my girls were small & my husband was in the Army. I am enjoying your videos so very much. I very much admire how you run your beautiful farm home. I just love this apron you made & I DO like the white thread. :-) Prayers for you & your lovely family.
So true, I will say that I am not her targeted age range, however I have been watching her videos since she started her vlog on Boone. They warm my heart and soul, as I realize just how beautiful inspiring and God honoring the videos are, and who Lisa truly is. So peaceful to see- as near as I can tell, a Proverbs 31 woman. Love your vlogs Lisa!!! Thanks for sharing, and building into other women 😀
Not my age either but it reminds me of growing up on some of the things she does. Our family was large also, ten children, parents and grandma, granddaddy was long gone on. Sweet memories for all of us.
Baking in the new apron you made, the curtains blowing in the wind, smell of fresh buns in the oven, with your daughter in the kitchen with you! What a lovely spring day! 😊🩷🌸
Your apron is lovely , especially the white stitching. Your daughter working right along side you in the kitchen is priceless, for you both. Seeing your windows open and curtains blowing in the breeze reminds me of my childhood farmhouse. In my mind I can smell the blossoming trees, the grass, and the freshly tilled garden. I can almost hear the dairy cows mooing, the hum of dad's tractor in the field neatby and my sisters playing outside under the shady trees. Thank you for sharing your farmhouse life and inspiring my walk down memory lane. I really enjoy your videos and your 2 sisters' videoes, as well.
I'm sorry, but I just HAD to say that your 15-year-old daughter is a "seamstress," not a "sewer"...watching your vlogs always gets me back in my groove (when I'm just not feeling it)of being in the kitchen, my yard, or my sewing room, and I thank you for that😊
IXL is the best. I used it at home with my granddaughter during the pendemic. Half of kinder and first grade. Then, when classes resumed at school, I found out that the school district uses it. I recommend IXL. My granddaughter is now a fourth grader, and she is an all A student. Another program the district uses is the accelerated reading program. AR is a program that gives students reading tests to determine their reading level. I buy books for my granddaughter to read and test. Her levels go from 4th grade to 9th grade and she keeps moving up in levels. I'm a retired teacher and these programs are the best.
Even though we won't be having children, I still get so much inspiration from you and this channel. I love being a homemaker for myself and my husband and you help me embrace with joy with so much pride!
I love seeing this. Growing up our house was anything but peaceful! I never wanted to be home! In seeing what you do and talking about home like this is so inspiring!
City girl here, but country at heart! I dream of one day having a homestead to call my own. Until then, I have truly been loving learning all that I can from you. What a beautiful life you live ❤ God bless you and yours today and every day!
I have a home-based bakery and love listening/ watching to your videos. Your music is especially relaxing and therapeutic to me 🥰 you make homemaking look so relaxing and peaceful ❤
It is beautiful to observe when people find and embrace the good work that God has planned for them to do with joy and gratitude. ✝️ Bless the name of Jesus ✝️
I am a retired teacher of 28 years and I now substitute teach for my friends in grades 1-3. I was just telling a group of students that there is a famous movie about coming home. "The Wizard of OZ," with the quote "there is not place like home!" I hope you have shown this movie to your kiddos. I think it is a wonderful movie that emphasizes family and home. Love your videos. They bring me much needed peace and comfort.
What a lovely video. When I watch you, I think about your children when they are adults and having families of their own. Gosh, the memories they will have and talk about with each other and their own children. Not only are you creating a beautiful home, you are establishing such great memories, lessons and beauty for your family that will last for generations. Really wonderful.
Love the hot cross buns! Fun fact; they actually originate from my home town where I live: St Albans, England. It’s a small tiny place but has lots of history and beautiful English countryside.🏴🌲 We are also home to England’s oldest pub (although this is very debated across the UK with lots of the pubs arguing over who is actually the oldest!😂😂)
I couldn't relate more to the "I love going on vacation but I really love being home more" hehe. Also the apron with the white is actually so beautiful!
lol some of us never learned to sew so just turning on the machine is a gain for us. 😂 Kudos to you. I can't even sew a button. Not something I'm proud of.
🎵 🎵 Hot cross buns, hot cross buns, one a penny two a penny hot cross buns! If you have no daughters, give them to your sons! 🎵 Little ditty from Catholic grade school (Ohio) 1960s. Thank you, Lisa❤ Have a Blessed Easter Sunday! 💐💐🌺🌺
I guess I’m a little weird-I love the white thread on the apron. I think “white trimming,” for lack of a better description, adds a nice touch and breaks up some of the green. It looks great. ♥️
Thank you for doing what you do! I’ve been a full-time homemaker for 6 months now with a 2 yr old, 9 month old (with more to come) and your channels have helped me so much ❤ Your videos are incredibly relatable, informative, encouraging, helpful and inspiring! 🙏🏻
OMG that is so funny about the white thread. I actually like doing things like that at times for contrast and have seen it done on purpose in store bought things.
Me wondering watching every video where all these children are while you are able to accomplish all these things as mine (5 & 3) never leave my physical space alone 😅 then you said “15 year old daughter” and it all makes sense now! I was a huge help to my mom as well when she had her youngest when I was 15 into my mid 20’s. I loved helping and spending time with my little brother. They always called me his “second mom”. So blessed to have a village of your own!
So about six years ago, I had an ice cream shop for 16 years I sold bluebell ice cream so I had plenty of commercial style aprons but I also got them with really cute prints of like ice cream or a sundae or something so now that I don’t have the shop I use an apron it’s funny I was always having an apron on because of the business and now I’m at home, and I still use an apron for my garden,or my house for mopping, today I’m wearing a black apron with a triple scoop of ice cream on the front of the apron (picture) , while I’m watching you 🍨
I sew-and I’m very particular about the materials and process. That said, it takes me so long sometimes to make even simple projects! I admire that you can just use what you have and don’t seem overly fussy about the process. I WISH I could be more like that. You rock! 😊. I also use aprons-I got tired of cleaning cooking stains from my clothes. We had a big fundraiser for a family suffering through a devastating illness recently. We did a lot of cooking at church and I was the only one there wearing an apron. 🤷🏻♀️ It seems most people don’t use them. Enjoyed your video as always. 😊
Truly, there is no place like home and watching you lovingly care for your home and family inspires me to love and enjoy caring for mine. Loving your channel.
I appreciate the contrast stitching. Especially if a novice was trying to follow along the contrast makes it easy to look at your finished piece and see where to go from there
It's so cute! Ha! Yes, it doesn't matter that it's topstitched in white~I know that, but I realized my anxiety was ramping up as I watched you do it! 🤣Good job! I'm not sure I'd try that just by measuring! I've sewn for years, but always with a pattern, even something simple as that.
We were gone 2-1/2 week to AZ visiting friends…and I WAS SO HAPPY to get home too‼️‼️ Getting away in the winter from Iowa is such a welcome change…but NOTHING beats home. Back in my own bed…my own pillow…my own routine ‼️‼️. So I get ya hun😉
I do also use white thread on many things because I don't bother to change it, but girl, I do not pipe individual crosses on hot cross buns. If you want to, run that frosting all the way down the whole column and every row in one go next time.
I always have that same feeling at the end of the trip! Usually the ride home is spent on Pinterest or online to plan and get the supplies I need for a project or food I want to make 😂 I love it. Beautiful video!
Welcome! Spring!!!🌷💐 Happy ur family enjoy a vacation on the beach!🫶🏻 Love ur apron w/ white stitch; contrast is nice. Your love of home & family shines thru in all you do! ❤️🥰💋🫶🏻
I love seeing you smooch your sweet baby! Oh those days go so fast, and I know you have heard that forever and ever Amen! I am in my 60s , and I love watching you “wear” your baby! He looks so contented, enjoy this time and I am sure you know that he won’t be wanting to do that when he is 30! ( with my first, I thought he would never go to sleep before he was 30! )
Love the color of that apron! And I think the topstitching is cute! When I go away I feel exactly the same way you do, especially about my BED!! Nothing like my own pillows!
Were you going to put your apron directions on here? I bought some linen yesterday, at Hobby Lobby, to make myself one of your aprons. If not, I'll go back to the video and write it all down as you do it. I have been sewing since I was a young girl, and I'm 69 this week, but I've never sewn with linen before. I love you girls' lives, and it makes me miss my big sister so much, but she want home to the Lord 25 years ago.
I love being home as well. Making everything so comfortable and the house smelling good and feeding my family good food. God bless you and thank you for sharing all that you do...Sherri-Payette Idaho

I agree with you I am 82 and I too enjoy her vlog. No age restrictions as Lisa makes it enjoyable for all ages.
What great comments!❤

"Make our homes the most comforting place on earth." Yes!! Feel this strongly.
Absolutely! I so enjoy coming home. There's no place like home!
Me too. That's my #1 goal!
The hearth is the center of civilization, of the world even❤
Baking in the new apron you made, the curtains blowing in the wind, smell of fresh buns in the oven, with your daughter in the kitchen with you! What a lovely spring day! 😊🩷🌸
Dream life!
it was!!
The best part of vacation is coming home.
I agree! I love traveling but it sure is nice to come come. 😊
Shoot, I feel that way coming home from the store too😂
For the 1/2 hr or so of your videos, (wish they were longer) it brings me such comfort. Thank you!
Glad to hear that!!
Your apron is lovely , especially the white stitching.
Your daughter working right along side you in the kitchen is priceless, for you both.

I thought the white top stitching was intentional. I like it
thank you so much for sharing your very sweet memories!

Thanks Lisa...this was comforting.

The white thread looks like an intentional design choice.
it turned out pretty good!
The white thread is ok! Goodness…you are free to choose what you want. We love your videos, thanks for sharing with us.
😊 thank you
You are a blessing, Lisa, and your work is beautiful!
Even though we won't be having children, I still get so much inspiration from you and this channel. I love being a homemaker for myself and my husband and you help me embrace with joy with so much pride!
glad to here that!!
I love the white stitching! It make the apron pop green thread would just blend in! Everything doesn’t have to be matchy matchy!
thanks!
I love seeing this. Growing up our house was anything but peaceful! I never wanted to be home! In seeing what you do and talking about home like this is so inspiring!

I personally think the contrast of white thread with the green looks cool. Great job !!! Glad your back in your Element!!!😄♥️
Thank you! 😊
I LOVE the white THREAD on the green apron💚💚💚💚💚

I used to work in St Albans. Lovely place.
Do you mean The Fighting Cocks? I know it as I was born in St Albans .
how interesting! Thanks so much for sharing..I'll bet it is a beautiful place to live.
I love the contrast of white thread. ❤
I couldn't relate more to the "I love going on vacation but I really love being home more" hehe. Also the apron with the white is actually so beautiful!
I have been away for 6 weeks, people think I am on a dream holiday, actually can't wait to get home, so love my home
I LOVE the white top stitching. It makes it pop!
thank you!
lol some of us never learned to sew so just turning on the machine is a gain for us. 😂
Kudos to you. I can't even sew a button. Not something I'm proud of.
I understand, it seems very overwhelming at first...like most skills though once you figure it out it really gets so much easier
Watching you do your daily work is similar to watching Bob Ross paint. Very relaxing. And inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much 😀
What a lovely home.
I definitely want to make hot cross buns like that next Easter!
🎵 🎵 Hot cross buns, hot cross buns, one a penny two a penny hot cross buns! If you have no daughters, give them to your sons! 🎵
Little ditty from Catholic grade school (Ohio) 1960s. Thank you, Lisa❤
Have a Blessed Easter Sunday! 💐💐🌺🌺

I like the contrast between the green apron and white thread, after all it is your apron to do as you choose. Don’t sweat the little things.😊
Thank you for doing what you do! I’ve been a full-time homemaker for 6 months now with a 2 yr old, 9 month old (with more to come) and your channels have helped me so much ❤ Your videos are incredibly relatable, informative, encouraging, helpful and inspiring! 🙏🏻
How wonderful! Glad you are encouraged by them...enjoy your time at home!
I honestly thought the white was intentional. I love it.

My husband works from home so he usually has the kids while I film.
Lol, our kids love telling us off. The white on the green looks great.
I love the white stitching on the apron, it makes it more springy! It turned out beautiful!
Thank you! 😊

haha...yes, it's just nice to protect your clothes and to pick things up and put in the pockets if you have them!
I really liked the white thread. When I first saw it I thought it was a stylistic choice you made and I was a fan. I really like contrast though.
It was time very well spent being with you this lovely Spring day.
I like the white thread. I think I might double down and do a white applique on the pockets in the future.
What would have been my dream would have a day or two by yourself to get the house/groceries in.
I actually love the white thread. I thought at first it was purposeful done. ❤
My TH-cam friend!
I actually really like the white thread. I like the contrast it gives. It gives it some style ☺️
I happen to like the contrast stitching on the apron 😊
I kinda like the contrast of the white thread against green.
I really loved the Basement Project!
I love the white thread. To me it’s a decorative feature framing the fabric 💛
Same! That's what I was thinking too
I sew-and I’m very particular about the materials and process. That said, it takes me so long sometimes to make even simple projects! I gotta have one. Doing dishes especially😵😂
I like the white thread! And I love the green!
thank you!
Truly, there is no place like home and watching you lovingly care for your home and family inspires me to love and enjoy caring for mine. Loving your channel.
I like the white thread. It goes with your beautiful home. 💖🌞🌵😷
I made your sourdough bagels this morning, for the first time. So easy, and fun. I’m not sure I like the sour taste in the bagels.
Love the white stitching!
I appreciate the contrast stitching. Especially if a novice was trying to follow along the contrast makes it easy to look at your finished piece and see where to go from there
I love the white thread, I would have done it intentionally, it just outlines the shapes, cute!!
Thank you! 😊
The white thread is so lovely.... I wouldn't change a thing!
Nice! Very calming beautiful video just lovely
Omg I’m so glad I stumbled upon this channel! I got super excited when you said you were from Missouri! Me too, South West!
You make everything you do look so easy…..I am sure with a busy family it is not at times.
I'm amazed you have time to make an apron with all that you do 😮. 😊
Thanks for your inspiration Lisa, so thankful you are all safe from the storm 💖
I think the white thread looks stylish!
When you sewed the green apron, I thought your white top stitching was a great contrast! Just started watching your channel😊
Oh thank you!
I don't miss rushing down to the basement while growing up in STL! 💕

Loving the apron. You are inspiring to a lot of people. So glad you all had a holiday. The kids would have loved the ocean. X
I do also use white thread on many things because I don't bother to change it, but girl, I do not pipe individual crosses on hot cross buns. If you want to, run that frosting all the way down the whole column and every row in one go next time.
Thank you Lisa, always a pleasure to watch your videos!!! I still ware an apron.
I love watching your channel. It makes me long for the days my children were still at home.
Lux Very Pretty I love it with a white ,
I have been making your pie crust. It is our new favorite pie crush.
Your apron is lovely! I happen to like the white stitching, it makes it feel more heirloom and that green fabric is gorgeous!
I always have that same feeling at the end of the trip! Usually the ride home is spent on Pinterest or online to plan and get the supplies I need for a project or food I want to make 😂 I love it. Beautiful video!
Welcome! Spring!!!🌷💐
Happy ur family enjoy a vacation on the beach!🫶🏻
Love ur apron w/ white stitch; contrast is nice.
Your love of home & family shines thru in all you do! ❤️🥰💋🫶🏻
Thank you! 😊
the white thread looks really good! I think better than green thread, the white accents your apron and looks perfect! so nice
Thank you! 😊
I like the white. Not the worse thing lol. It’s cute. Good job.
I like the white stitch
Cute apron! Missouri star quilt company has a tutorial for a really fun apron made from a tea towel! Always look forward to your videos!
I like the green and white apron.
Looks comfortable.
( with my first, I thought he would never go to sleep before he was 30! )
I like the contrast in thread on your apron! Awesome job...you are a big inspiration to me
I was thinking the same thing!
thank you!
Home is truly a blessed place
I love your videos! BTW, I like the white thread on the apron - it looks decorative and really works!
thanks!
My dad is to buy hot cross buns around Easter! It was so comforting to eat them ! I miss that tradition.
I love the white thread! It adds character.
My mother had a fabric shop called Nita's Knits, so since linen is not a "knit", I just never tried it. But now I'm very much into natural everything, which takes a while to get switched over. Thank you for your TH-cam videos...I just love them, and after seeing you and your two sisters in a video last week, I'm also now watching them, as well. I love you girls' lives, and it makes me miss my big sister so much, but she want home to the Lord 25 years ago.
I don't have plans for putting that on the blog, I do have other apron patterns there if you are ever interested...
I love the white thread!!! I want to make one but I want a loop on the front for my tea towel to hand in front
I love being home as well. Making everything so comfortable and the house smelling good and feeding my family good food. God bless you and thank you for sharing all that you do...Sherri-Payette Idaho
thank you!
Apron is so pretty and cozy looking. I like the accent of the white thread. Now we can call it designer 😂
I love that the apron has white stitching, looks great.
As kids, my family used to have hot cross buns every Easter. They always seemed so special!
I like the contrast of the white thread on the green fabric! Gives it a decorative effect!
