How much washing soda should I add to the drum?
Can you please reduce the music volume. So we can actually hear what you are saying . It's louder than the instructions.
Thank you, we have indeed lowered music volumes on other movies, this one was still quite loud, we'll adjust this one too.

@@D_Syno you can’t lower music volume. In videos, there is no such concept of music volume vs narrator volume. It’s merely audio vs video.
The only solution that the uploaded can do, is upload a new video.

How to use the tub cleaning option for FHT1065HNL 6.5 kgs
Is it supposed to sound like a jet taking off during this cycle?
Can't we put descaling powder in the area where we put detergent or is it necessary to put directly in tub??
For this program only it can be put into the drum directly, as there is no laundry in there and the water will mix with the powder. Putting it into the detergent tray is also okay, but make sure that all remains are gone after finishing the Tub Clean cycle.
We have problems with the tub clean program in our LG washer. The program starts, and runs, but the effective spin movements (which sprays hot water to every hidden part of the drum, and the tub in order to clean it well during the program) have lost. It goes as a normal washing program. Every other washing programs work properly, except the tub clean.
If you are sure that the Tub Clean cycle does not what it is supposed to do, I suggest you contact your local LG support desk. On functional side, spraying hot water happens via a relatively low spin speed, so could it be that you misinterpret the working of this function?
Hi I tried to run Tub Clean on my LG TH2113DSAK. After choosing Tub Clean and pressing start, the time indicator indicated a total of 11 hours duration. I find it totally absurd and decided to stop the programme after 3 hours. Am I doing it correctly?
Tub cleaning only takes 1.11 min one I mean 1 hour and 11 min,
I think you've try it again , select tub clean and start it. It'll adjust by itself. No worries,

There should be instructions on the packing, but if you are unsure, try with about 25 grams first.
After run the tub clean function. My washing machine was covered with black residue. Anyone please tell me what is the problem? We just bought the machine brand new 4 months ago.
Apologies for the late reply. Where exactly did you notice the black residue? It might be that because of the Tub Clean action dirt/grease/softener buildup was released from the surface of the tub and ended up for example in the gasket. In that case wipe the full gasket clean and other surfaces where it is visible. When cleaned you may want to run a hot program (with towels) to make sure everything is flushed away.

As LG said to a previous comment: The Tub Clean program has its dedicated temperature (~70 degrees C).

Normally adding a cleaning detergent is not needed, as the Tub Clean program will run with hot water and and slow spin to burst water through the drum onto the whole inner tub. As mentioned in the video, a bit of cleaning soda can be used.
When should we run the tube clean program? Is once in a moth enough or once in a week?
The frequency depends on the temperatures you wash and the amount (if at all) of softener you use. These variables determine the residue (and odors) that can build up and based on that you can do Tub Clean either once 1 a month or even less.

That is a normal time for tub cleaning. The water needs to be let in and then warm up to above 60 degrees, to kill most bacteria and then the cycle continues with faster tub rotation, to splash water through the drum onto the tub to properly clean it, this takes some time.

I did tub clean, but the app on my smartphone doesn't shows that i did it (i mean that in useful features the countdown of tub clean shows that i need to do it, it doest started from 0 again)

Some of these LG front loaders had a recall due to an internal plastic cover coming loose and clanging around on the spinning drum.

The best in that case is to run a hot wash (95 degrees Celsius). But also of course clean the drain filter.

In the main wash compartment, if you own a European product. For US products there may be a separate compartment.
I did the tub clean cycle and my machine is giving water leakage error. Code AE. What could have gone wrong?
AE is not directly related with Tub Clean, indeed it's a water leakage error. This means that the leakage sensor in the base of the machine detects water. This typically means that you need to contact a technician, since the is likely a leak somewhere in the tub/rubber or hose.

Lukewarm water only. And a Tub Clean program combined should help.

Yes you can, but with normal routine maintenance you do not need to add it.

If the display does not work indeed cleaning the tub is difficult, and so is washing. I suggest you unplug-replug the power cable. If that does not solve it, contact your local helpdesk.

Of course you can. Soda will aid in neutralizing smells but if smells are not the problem, feel free to run it without any cleaning agent.

My washer doesn't have the button to do clean tube mode but it displays the message "clean tube?" So is there a setting that I have to configure?

When doing my tub cleaning, it runs for 2mins and indicate IE, what does it mean pliz. LG 9KGS
It means that your water tap is closed, kinked or that that water valve does not open. Please first check for the tap and possible kinks in the inlet hose and after that contact your LG helpdesk. Can i use a regular washing tablet instead of the washing soda?
No, that is not advised. Please use as little cleaning products as possible. The cycle should normally be able to clean the tub without any additives.
NEVER use laundry detergent for cleaning the tub. There are specific tablets for tub cleaning that can be used!

Depends a but on the exact model you have, but take ~ 1h10 - 1h30 minutes as guideline. You will see it once you have started the program.
My 2010 model takes 50 minutes.
Can I use vinegar or bleach to tube clean?
Not needed. If smells remain, you may additionally do a hot wash (95 degrees Celsius) to flush any remains. Best tips is prevention of course, meaning Tub Clean periodically and a hot wash ~once per 2 weeks, of course depending on how many cycles you run, the detergent type you use and at which temperatures you normally wash.

isn't it an option on your model? If not, a hot wash (95 degrees) with some cotton towels will also help.

Tub Clean requires roughly 70-80 minutes (depending on the model).

What is your model? Most modern LG washing machine should have Tub Clean as program/function. Cotton 95 degrees (without laundry) would be an alternative.

Unplug the power cord, then wait 60 seconds and plug it back in, this should wipe the memory and you can try again.

How do you clean inside the rubber part ??
With a soft cloth and a bit of water should be enough.
When I was cleaning the rubber part I was horrified. In the places where the rubber protrudes, there is a small hole and there I found scum of dirt and dust in it, which I had to remove with tweezers. I don't know what I did wrong that there were such scum of dirt. I hope you understand me, English is not my native language

No that was washing soda. However, baking soda can also be used. Washing soda is a bit more abrasive. So you can use either as long as you do not use too much and do not put in clothes during this action. Good luck.

It should show the option on the display options, when you press-and-hold the corresponding button

yes it does. It's just a separate program. Leave the door open for a while to let it ventilate.

Both can be used.

Don't use caustic soda. A better option to the washing soda suggested here is sodium percarbonate.

No, that is not advised.

Watch the video, just a small cup, say 20 grams/ If the smell is really bad, add ~30 grams. You can always repeat the tub clean program if the smell is still bad. Other tips for removing bad smells: do not use (or less) softener, clean gasket thoroughly, run a cotton 95 program with some towels. Good luck!

Yes, if you desire. It may not be necessary, that's why. Cleaning soda is an abrasive cleaning agent that helps cleaning calcium and magnesium ions in the water. but also removes softener remains.

Just a small cup should be enough (~30-50ml.). All depends on how dirty the tub is (which, in turn, depends on your washing habits).
