The ability to queue movement orders for troops in the galactic map when paused. I.E. "Pause, these land troops start heading to X, these space troops start heading to Y, unpause." That and having large space ships actually go where you want them to instead of them turning 180 degrees and taking a pleasure cruse around the entire map first.
The Venator (and I think the V-wings) were hidden in the base game on the original release. They were touched up and used in FoC when it came out though.
If there is one feature I wanted to be in Empire at War, it would be along with certain atmospheric ships(Venator, Victories and others) are playable on surface battles. IIRC there was like an article(forgot which one) that stated petroglyph originally planned for Some ships to be playable in surface battles but the major issues are engine limitation and balancing since the empire have more Atmospheric ships than rebellion
The scaling on that would be bad. A venator model takes up the whole map, so it is not feasible unless you scale ships down, but then that messes with scaling for ground units
I would like EAW to have is if you have 2 fleets going to the same planet, one is going to get there first and the second is only slightly behind, I would like to see a timer that couts down till "reinforcemetns" arriving, which then the units would be added to your reinforcement pool.
I wish the game made better use of star fighters and air vehicles in ground battles. I enjoyed how games like Wargame: Air Land Battle handled them. The amazing thing about EAW is how the modding community made the game so much better
I agree. There's so many books and comics portraying missions where fighters go into the atmosphere and carry out bombing runs and just battles in atmosphere, but this just isn't a think really in EAW. Some mods have it by replacing speeders but... it doesn't work very well.
Greetings my name is Larry-3, I created the Alliance at War mod. The one on Mod DB. And there is an out of date version on Steam. I remember reading about these things when going through the game files. Some of them I unlocked for my mod. The ability to steal ships during a battle is possible, it just requires a lot of code repurposing. One cannot keep them, sadly. In my mod, I gave U-wings the ability to board small enemy ships and control them. At least until the battle is over. As far as a feature I would add? Multi-threaded rendering/multi-CPU core support.
One essential feature: Actually working and interesting ground combat lol Thrawns Revenge, Age of the Rebellion and the Remake already did a good job with that, but it's still so damn boring. I wish there was a bigger variety of maps that you had to conquer to occupy the whole planet instead of just destroying one tiny base with a small landing party. More unique aliens, more variety in aircrafts and infantry. I don't remember the name of the mod, but there is one out there which transformed stormtroopers actually into an elite unit. You had to use imperial recruits first and could upgrade them to different tiers like in Mount and Blade, so they got more armor, mor precision, better skills Snipers, Rocket Launchers, Blaster Infantry, technicians, tedics, the whole Battlefront spectrum would be pretty cool. Better pathfinding, bigger battles, more explosions, give me that head of battle! Star Wars isn't just space battle, even though I love the space battles of the remake. x.x
I would have loved some sort of diplomacy feature. To be able to negotiate with other smaller factions for aid and such. Could of added another element to galactic conquest.
I used to mod EAW FOC. I dreamed of a mod where I ported the entire rebel faction to the zhan consurtium. Here I would rename the mechanism of 'corrupting' a planet by a mechanism to persuade and convince planets to secretly pledge to the rebel cause, donate ships, credits, manpower, free passage... That way, the rebels would only have control over a very limited number of planets, but due to their ability to persuade planets to their cause, they could gain a lot of power. It would create a new dynamic for the rebellion, whereas now, It's a bit unbelievable that the rebellion, a rag-tag group could effectively just 'retake' the galaxy, system by system from a much more powerful empire. The rebellion should have been more like the UK during the early stages of WWII: on their own, they don't stand a chance against the might of the German army... but having help, they could stand their ground.
The ability to deploy fighters when I want to, such as keeping them in the hangers till the fighting starts and also have a damage repair system to add immersion to the campaign map, similar to how total war handles naval battles in napoleon
Levelling up ships. Taking ships from Basic units to almost heroes. Battle scar damage on a star destroyer or rebel markings on captured ships. Even things like fighter wings that with more flights can become rogue squadron type legendary wings
There's 3 things that I've wanted the most in this game. 1: The ability to give custom names to fleets and ships. 2: A fleet commander system. You could assign commanders or heroes to fleets, and the more battles they participate in they gain experience and slight stat buffs to the fleet they control. They could also have positive and negative traits that influence the battle. Kind of like the admirals and generals in Stellaris. 3: No freezing map. I know this one wasn't really feasible 15 years ago, but it would be awesome to have. If the map doesn't freeze during a battle, you could have 3 players on different factions, multiple battles at the same time, reinforcement fleets moving to join a battle, and so much more. You could slow down each turn to give the players more time, but give more credits at the end of each turn to compensate. I know the engine wouldn't have been able to handle multiple battles back in 2005, but its still a cool concept to think about.
Being able to orient ships on different elivations and control their roll values. That way you could pull the same maneuver Skywalker did when he showed the belly of his venator to the seperatists in order to safely launch his fighters and bombers.

The venator isnt that unknown as the zann consortium can build them in skirmish in those special stations and what i would love to have would be a “hit and run“ “ability“ for the rebels, that lets you send two squadrons of fighters to a planet deal damage and then retreat before the enemy can do anything, in this way you could dosable smaller ships pretty easy
the one feature I wish I could've seen is some sort of strike commando rebel unit that specializes in doing sneaky boarding raids on enemy ships rather than regular planetary raids. Somewhat like how some of the Zann missions give you a set number of select units for a mission to complete it, this strike commando raiding party would go to a planet with some ships over it, select a ship to raid, and you'd be taken to a special "land" battle ON THE SHIP, where you can either try to do as much damage as you can to that ship (ie losing hard points for that ship when fought in a proper space battle), or give you the chance to actually try to take it over, and bring it to the rebels side. The more powerful the ship, the harder the boarding raid will be, almost near impossible to raid a ISD (or hell not at all even). This would give the rebels a chance to gain access to a VERY limited pool of imperial or Consortium ships to take control of.
Think how long a meter would be. The Venator is 1.3 Meters in length, which is 4,265 feet in length, and a Venator is one of the smaller capital ships.
@@superkamiguru6856 I think you mean kilometre because even with my complete lack of understanding the imperial system, one metre does not seem to equal 4000 feet

I would have liked if ground combat was fleshed out more, maybe even include the ability to construct our own bases during ground combat sections as well.
I said this in another video Shack did, but it'd be cool to put it here too. If they made a 2nd EaW I'd be interested in seeing an optional fps style co-op to battles. Having your own unit and progressing it through skill trees and winning battles. The idea of being able to look out from the bridge of an ISD, seeing your friend in a TIE/IN fly by and engage enemy fighters....it's just grand. It wouldn't even have to be that in-depth, could just be a first person POV of your character in the bridge. But implementing some crude starfighter mechanics and controls would be enough for me.
For a new feature, I’d like sandbox mode: put any units you want to any capacity in a battle, set up hazards/objectives, stations, and then when you’re ready, hit play and watch the carnage ensue. As for features that should just be outright fixed, FIX LARGER SHIP PATHING. So tired of my SSDs taking the most obscenely long path to get to the enemy, ruining my battle strat. To use an SSD effectively you basically have to just use a small patrol boat to gain hyperspace clearance and then slingshot it into battle off that position, instead of enjoying the lumbering crawl as my SSD closes the distance and unleashes hell on their fleet, one-man-army’ing it
Controlling the unit yourself would be pretty neat, for large ships especially! For packs, like fighter squadrons etc you get to fly one of them and if it gets shot you teleport to the next one until the whole squad is dead.
The starting landing zone is determined in the map editor program and there is a marker you place to determine the entry landing zone. If you have more than one it crashes the game iirc
The feature I would like to see is the ability to change a game's speed during the setup. Some days I want a leisurely game, other days I want a fast one
Unit ranks and the ability to pick star fighter loadout on capital ships would have special fighters so if you have the income corporation then you get escort carries with xj6 or something like that. Probably cloud be added to TR if you don't mind messey menue
One feature I would add is a "fleet builder". One button to build a certain amount of ground or space units. Maybe several types of fleets you could build.
The mod Thrawn's Revenge and Fall of the Republic both have space fleet builder and you can set massive fleets against each other (If your pc can handle it)
First of all and most simply, the ability to repair ships in battle by moving them near a space station, same idea as a repair station satellite. Also, as very many others have mentioned, two more things: 1. Boarding, capturing, and keeping ships. This would unfortunately probably require a "crew" system, where the crew is killed as the ship is damaged and some disappears from one of yours when you send them to board, or something like that. 2. Veteran units or unit XP and level ups. With the first option, after surviving a certain number of battles, it gains veteran status and gets, say, a 15% bonus to health, damage, and sight range per level of veterancy. A Nebulon B that you started with in a big GC could, by the end, with the presence of a fleet Commander, reliably kill (non-veteran) Victorys whilst sustaining little to no serious damage thanks to its (+15%x6)×1.25 bonuses, or +147.5%. With the second option, the unit gains xp for certain actions--surviving a battle, dealing damage, taking damage, delivering the killing blow on an enemy unit, etc. Once a threshold is reached it can either have a simple increase in stats or change to a different configuration. Again with a nebulon B, it could on its first level up have 3 options: +25% to health damage and sight (Nebulon B +), swap out its laser cannons for more turbolasers and a one-per-salvo torpedo launcher (more capable of taking on enemy frigates), or swap out its turbolasers for more laser cannons and a four-per-salvo concussion missile launcher (more capable of taking on fighters and bombers). On second level up, there would not be options but a specific upgrade depending on first upgrade choice. Respectively: an additional +50% to stats for a total of +75% (Nebulon B ++), replacing the now 4 turbolasers with enhanced heavy TLs and upgrading the torpedo launcher to 3-per-salvo (capable of destroying more powerful frigates but still fragile), or add two more laser cannons and one more quad missile launcher (even better anti-fighter capabilities). And those options are just one class of ship. The Assault Frigate may have similarly themed upgrade choices, but there are also the Acclamator and Victory, and that's just frigates. It stands to reason that corvettes would have fewer and simpler upgrade choices and capital ships would have more. Imagine a specialized carrier MonCal cruiser with laser cannons instead ion cannons and turbolasers but a hangar with 12 A-Wing squadrons and 8 Y-Wing squadrons, or an ISD dotted with several additional laser cannon batteries to serve in a more anti-fighter role, or a Victory converted to a missile boat with four quad concussion missile launchers per side. I prefer the upgrade choice option over the veterancy option because it adds playstyles and more diverse fleet compositions and strategies rather than simply making certain units stronger, but it would also be much harder to implement and could get rather tedious in large fleets.

3 player galactic conquest, where 2 factions battle each other and the 3rd one can ambush that battle, and make a truce with one side, to get the outcome to his favor. Much like the last mission of forces of corruption
I would like to see a system were you manage the populations of your planets, something like: Building shops, remove enemy propaganda and rebuild the damage after the batles. This planets should be the most important in the map and the ones that gives most resourses (credits, soldiers, tecnology) , if the population isn´t happy they can ally with the enemy decreasing the production cap making more difficult the advance or protection of certain planets like Coruscant, Mandalore or Corelia but making other ones easier to conquer.
The venator actually wasn't hidden or cut content. It's actually a purchasable unit in certain skirmish maps, in the expansion pack. Except, they are completely underpowered, and might aswell be a nebulon b with ion cannons. Which is NOT, how they'd be in canon or legends at all. That one may have been a rushed feature, but they are there, and they do exist. You can buy them from pirate bases.
The ability to board ships would really cool. But I don't mean something like Thrawn revenge just send a shuttle to the ship and that's it, I mean more that you can paralyze the opposing ship and then really have to send boarding troops in and then actually command them through the coridors of the ship and take important points in the ship like the life support, bridge and reactor room etc.
I wish empire at war FOC had a paint job feature or a veteran feature where units you like or have survived many battles could get medals and acquire health damage ai or shield buffs, maybe even new hardpoints as purchasable upgrades every battle
I'd say upgrades in land battles. By this I mean being able to use buildings to upgrade your troops in a ground battle in galactic conquest like you can in space
i would like the 3 player glactic conquest as a option, as you play with one person being the spectator when the battles happen between 2 people and it is their choose to play the mode knowing that they might have to watch a battle every now and again
A dedicated builder unit and being able to build your base buildings wherever you want and being able to buikd something on captured points to keep it captured unless it is destroyed.
Pick which ships are called into battle when raiding a planet. It would be nice to pick which ships went in first. Because my starfighters would always be in front and I would have to order them to the back of the map because the AI would always send their Tarten cruisers in first.
Persistent armies with progression, much like Force Commander. Not just cannon fodder. Might require a closer scale, though as managing a limited supply of troops would be difficult.
I wish in empire at war the fighter/bomber squadrons had a proper flying scrypt, i know this isnt a feature, but you see, when u set 2 squadros to fight each other, they just do a bubble and "fly" in circles and alot of the times they break their limit speed and insta teleport to another spot, NOT INMMERSIVE AT ALL, neither cool to see. I wish they would split way wider and fly more freely around while in combat looking for a target, for those that already play the game, imagine them flying around quite scattered between ally/enemy ships instead of a tight boring bubble doing circles, also, i wish their Z+ / Z- axis spawns were more flexible, or that they could move more freely in that dimension.
More customization of starfighters carried by capital ships. More ability to go on planet surface battle field to position soldiers, build defenses before an invasion. The ability to capture ships, space stations etc. Build bases like endor and where is my landing pad from endor and why wasn't it part of deploying troops and landing craft.
Fall of the republic and alliance mod would have the solar system and angry birds space units for rebel republic resistance against the empire cis first order and sith eternal
A removal of the deliberately bad penalty for auto-resolving. You know it’s bad when C3-PO and a single Y-Wing somehow emerges victoriously after your sending 10 Star Destroyers in. :/ Also, decent path-finding for the ground battles. We all love it for the space combat, but I don’t know anyone who didn’t view the superficial attention given to surface warfare anything but a chore. No idea if mods fixed either of those. I don’t use them on principle. Had too many screw my entire system up and swore off of ever using any again.
If anyone could make a "canon" mod focusing on the Galactic Civil War that features characters and units from Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One, Solo, etc. As a fan of the Rebels show I would LOVE playing Empire and having Thrawn at my disposal while sending out Inquisitors to do Vader's biding, or using the famous Ghost and Phantom-2 alongside Fulcrum Ahsoka Tano! Also I know a fan favorite are the Imperial Mandalorian Commandos and Gar Saxon
Yo That Veteran would be sick tho. You can the ship that you really like be max level. It could perhaps even buff other ships or units, Much like a hero
I would of just liked better unit movement, it’s annoying as hell when a SD tries to make a u-turn when all I want it to do is fire on a target or move from point a to point b

If this video doesn't talk about the unused heroes, Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn, I'm gonna be pissed. *Video* *ends* I'm pissed. I would like to see the dark side adepts that were used in the FoC expansion to be playable units and not just be opponents in the campaign. They would be like a next-gen field commander where they provide a morale boost to all nearby allied units, a demoralized negative to all enemy units, incredibly expensive, tech level 5 needed, can only be built where the Emperor is stationed, and can either have the drain life ability like the Nightsisters or stun ability like Han Solo. The opposite of that would be Bothan Spies for the Rebellion, which can only be made on Bothawui, they have personal cloaking fields, cannot be detected by enemy units on the galactic map, they have the sabotage ability, and can carry thermal detonators. I would've liked to have seen another expansion to the game that explains what happened to the Zann Consortium. You could play as either the victorious Rebels or the struggling Empire post-Endor, but the campaign deals with such Intelligence-type characters such as Ysanne Isard or Grand Admiral Thrawn from the Empire or members of Rebel Intelligence where they investigate the sudden break up of the Consortium and try to discover what happened to the leaders as they were at the tip of becoming a very powerful threat to both factions.

Also, as very many others have mentioned, two more things:
I would have loved to see Clone Wars ships as part of the Rebel and Empire fleets. Glad the mods added them in.
Female alien with catlike features? Guess we know what Charlie's next erotic fan fiction will be about. "Tani Ab'yla Clear: A Star Wars Story" by Charlie McShane

Lol, Cathar are in universe...
@@AlphaAurora The name structure and abilities imply she was meant to be a Bothan spy, but the design of the generic members of the species changed at some point after she was cut.
Extra note- being able to upgrade turrets like in a tower defence game, to do more damage, have more range etc
i would like the 3 player glactic conquest as a option, as you play with one person being the spectator when the battles happen between 2 people and it is their choose to play the mode knowing that they might have to watch a battle every now and again
The Venator is in the original game the Zan consortium can build them at one of those star things during skirmish games.
A dedicated builder unit and being able to build your base buildings wherever you want and being able to buikd something on captured points to keep it captured unless it is destroyed.
An injured mechanic using the hero respawn system from vanilla would be nice.
In the base game (the one with out forces of corruption) the non playable pirate faction v wings spawned from pirate astroid base.
I wish they would split way wider and fly more freely around while in combat looking for a target, for those that already play the game, imagine them flying around quite scattered between ally/enemy ships instead of a tight boring bubble doing circles, also, i wish their Z+ / Z- axis spawns were more flexible, or that they could move more freely in that dimension.
mass deploy if there x5 or other number of a ship when you drop on the map if you hold shift to right click untill expended
I waited so long for a video like this! about SWEW!
In SW Forces of Corruption there is the Dengar name and description in the .DAT file
More customization of starfighters carried by capital ships. More ability to go on planet surface battle field to position soldiers, build defenses before an invasion. The ability to capture ships, space stations etc. Build bases like endor and where is my landing pad from endor and why wasn't it part of deploying troops and landing craft.
Have a faction that has all the available units, vehicle and ships also create your own hero unit with name and face of your own creation
Please do a video on Jedi Fallen Order: You vs 4 Kompaktors, but the catch is you can’t use any force powers
I would like the ships to move in the formation that I deploy them in rather than what they currently do
Saving fleets, to intantly build them with the same or higher price
Is it hard to find players online to play against on the base game? Or even on the Corruption expansion?
You should join the empire at war discord, you might be able to find some players there
@@modderhoop2058 wait... there's a discord? XD

Where is Mara Jade? She is shown in the printed material with the game, but I never found her in-game
I would love to create a own Star Destryoer in conquest mode that can be build for 26.000 credits as flag ship.
Blaster wielding penguins..... come on petro. That definitely should have been in the game
Navy Troopers?
Performance performance and performance ... larger battles with even an slightly increased number of ships makes the game into a slideshow
Fall of the republic and alliance mod would have the solar system and angry birds space units for rebel republic resistance against the empire cis first order and sith eternal
Controllable units
Units that gain experience points if they survive battles in campaign
It's unfortunately not possible to track these sort of things between tactical and galactical window
I would wish for a supply system with raids etc.
A removal of the deliberately bad penalty for auto-resolving. You know it’s bad when C3-PO and a single Y-Wing somehow emerges victoriously after your sending 10 Star Destroyers in. :/
Also, decent path-finding for the ground battles. We all love it for the space combat, but I don’t know anyone who didn’t view the superficial attention given to surface warfare anything but a chore.
No idea if mods fixed either of those. I don’t use them on principle. Had too many screw my entire system up and swore off of ever using any again.
Wish units had level up from experience and also ship repair after battle
If anyone could make a "canon" mod focusing on the Galactic Civil War that features characters and units from Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One, Solo, etc.
As a fan of the Rebels show I would LOVE playing Empire and having Thrawn at my disposal while sending out Inquisitors to do Vader's biding, or using the famous Ghost and Phantom-2 alongside Fulcrum Ahsoka Tano!
Also I know a fan favorite are the Imperial Mandalorian Commandos and Gar Saxon
The ability to board take over enemy ships
switch view to first person and fly fighters or ground shooter.
I would really like the ability to capture enemy ships.
The ability to remove corruption from my game compelety or nerf it down a lot
A Feature I want is to give minor heroes ranks
Naming ships (they already have a namelist) and veterancy
Yo That Veteran would be sick tho. You can the ship that you really like be max level. It could perhaps even buff other ships or units, Much like a hero
Did you know that their is a sweaw discord with high speed skirmish mode games
I would of just liked better unit movement, it’s annoying as hell when a SD tries to make a u-turn when all I want it to do is fire on a target or move from point a to point b
RANCOR STIMULANTS: Stimulate your Rancor
The Penguani looks exactly like Penpen from neon genesis Evangelion O_O
Shut up.
I would prefer for the Venators to return.
Would love to blow up capital ships with the Death Star.
I wish the Death Star could blow up ships and not just planets and so super star destroyer
Boarding shuttles
I wouldn't have put it past them for there to be a penguin level when a shitload of penguins come bearing down on you after you completed an easter egg.
Happes loooooool.
It's more like shapes, but with an H sound and not an sh
To answer the question is mostly better pathfinding. Or multiplayer galactic conquest.
The ability for the game not to crash
I cant enjoy watching see of thieves because its to long to watch and it’s a live streamed while i sleep.
*sad pirate noises* 😞
hmmmm either ability to name units or minor heroes or ramming in space battles
