Hi there! Thanks for your comment. Electron sharing occurs when two atoms are held together by the attraction between their electrons and nuclei. Electron mutual sharing occurs when two atoms share a pair of electrons. We hope this answer helps you understand the difference between the two. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Ma'am you said in m shell in sodium should have 8 electrons to make it stable but it has 1 electron but ma'am on m shell shouldn't there be 18 to make it stable(2n²=2*3*3=18)???????
Yess m shell can carry 18 electrons But to stability an atom has to complete its octate ( 8 electrons) that's why Becoz an atom whose octate is complete is called stable atom No matter wo koi b ho See noble gases They all have their octate complete

Doubt:- if an atom with valency 4 is known as tetravalent. So can we say that atom with 1,2 and 3 electrons in its outermost shell will be known as monovalent, divalent and trivalent.
Hi there! That's a great question. Yes, an atom with 1, 2, and 3 electrons in its outermost shell would be known as monovalent, divalent, and trivalent, respectively. We hope this helps!
