- Rwy23 approach/landing in a forward slip. The slip is a technique used to lose altitude quickly over an obstacle and involved exposing the aircraft fuselage to the wind to increase drag. This is an effective maneuver, particularly with aircraft without flaps to land without excessive approach speed on short runways or from a high approach angle.
Had a 1946 Aeronca 7ac65 Champ. Slip to landing was standard procedure for me. That airplane was the most fun I ever had with cloths on!!
