Izuku's simultaneous quick thinking and complete lack of self preservation reminds me of the term 'hero complex' itself. Which is ironic for the series lol but is interesting as a character choice. Less about becoming strong and more about 'I need to save everyone except myself', with Izuku. I've found the concept of what makes a hero vs villain fascinating, bc heroism tends to always be defined by an extreme form of self-sacrifice, even when visibly detrimental in Izuku's case.
Idk if anybody told you guys yet but deku mom gained that weight because she was depressed about him after the news from the doctor…she’s a great mom and glad you guys enjoying the show.
Yz’s power would be super compelling for a main character! His story could comment on how ironic it is that heroes always “fight” to maintain peace and they don’t always “save.” A hero who takes all of the violence or negative emotions out of a villain could get to the root of their problems and make them choose good way more than punching them ever could (especially villains with justifiable reasons for their actions). Pacifism can do a lot to heal the systemic problems that would show up in a super powered society like the world of MHA (which they do touch upon, so I’m excited to see the rest of y’all’s reactions.) Keep up the good work and Plus Ultra!
i can see the downside to such a power in a series like MHA. - like having a large portion of the world population saying that it is Forceful manipulation and against Freewill. -or since its allways active that it would destroy any kind of sport event he attends or anything that counts as "competion" cause all participants would suddenly stop what they are doing and be to "peaceful" to compete against each other. - or if it is an area of a affect, in a gigantic war like battle he would have to make sure to get into the range of the enemies/Villains first before he comes into the range of the fellow heroes, otherwise the defenders/good guys would stop putting up a fight while they are still getting hit by long range attack by the villains. i am pretty sure there is even more ways how are "forced Peace" power can go wrong.
The ability to soothe those around you reminds me of some powers that people have in the Mistborn book series by Brandon Sanderson. Some people have the ability to "rile" or to "soothe" emotions of people around them. They can focus on specific emotions to try making them feel more calm, or more paranoid, or even to feel nothing at all. That's one of many powers in the series that characters can have. It's a good series.
I’m loving the positivity in the comments! I like that you made the note of how personal the show feels and I think that’s really the core of what makes the story work in earnest. My superpower would be a foresight type quirk. Not seeing the future exactly, but gut feelings about which choices and paths will lead to what kinds of futures. For example, if I'm chasing a villain and I don't know which direction they went, I could use my power to tell which direction I need to go in. The catch is that that gut feeling may or may not actually lead me to the villain I'm chasing, but it will lead me to where I need to be. Meaning, the quirk could prioritize choosing a path that will lead me to important intel or an injured person that needs help without me knowing it. I just know I need to go that way.

If I was in My Hero, my quirk would be Living Drawings. The nails of my fingers would be a different art tool (pencil, marker, brush, etc.). Once I draw something, it instantly becomes alive. The more detailed the drawing is, the stronger it becomes. Once I strengthen my quirk, I can apply quirks to the drawings. I can only use 2 of my 10 fingers once every 3 hours

I just wanted to say that was another terrific video and I know others have more than likely already commented that but I wanted to type it too so I could show my appreciation of the good vibes and the awesome community y’all are building or/and have built. If we are describing what quirk we (the comment section) might have or what ourselves we might have then we as a whole would probably have “Catalog”: a quirk allowing to record and keep data on all the quirks we seen and interacted with, and the more interactions the better the data. And said data could help with Hero, Villain, and Vigilante Analysis. The back lash of the quirk would probably be that since we have (or will have) so much data we cannot be very emotive/expressive in our emotional outputs, and that in very severe cases, if we’re over loaded then we experience hallucinations or feel like we hear multiple voices? Is that too harsh? My quirk would probably be either a healing quirk of some sort or being like one of those characters that have animal features as their quirk like I can imagine myself having (in the MHA world) like wolf features. If I was a hero or vigilante then I would want to have the “hero” name: Mad Dog. (1) it sounds cool, (2) it’s kinda an homage to one of my most favorite characters in HAIKYUU , Kentarō Kyōtani AKA Mad Dog as I really wished that we could’ve seen more of him and Aoba Johsai as a whole, and (3) the name would sound as if I’m one of those heroes who just beat of villains BUT in “reality” I would primarily be a Rescue Hero helping with my sensitive senses (hearing, smell, etc.). Okay, this next part is slightly personal but in real life I’m autistic and so I feel like my alternate self would also be autistic as it’s still a part of me (and a part that I’m now able to more fully embrace as I’ve gotten older). So, maybe, one of my personal arcs (maybe the arc before I became a hero or vigilante and saw ^insert inspirational event^) if I ever was in MHA would be to not only learn to deal with the enhanced senses that come from my quirk but also learn to healthy live with my sensitives to loud/sudden sounds, bright lights, and large crowds. Or they could both be overlapped with each other like a 2-in-one package? I don’t know how it would work logically but I would hopefully want that tale to be as realistic as possible (and not overly angsty but a showcase of taking it one step at a time) but still keep that optimism that is truly the trade mark(?) of the show so I (the character) can know my limits but not be chained by them! But anyways, sorry for that long winded comment but never forget you guys ROCK!! Are very awesome! Hopefully there aren’t too many typos:(

I found out about your channel with the previous my hero academia reactions, i hope that you continue up to the point the anime is right now. Also, there's movies and some OVA that happen in between some seasons, so it could be cool to see those reactions too.
My choice for quirk : 1) electricity - ( my number one fav due to misaka from to aru no railgun series, misaka show the power electricity can do many cool things, haha i love cool thingy. Like she can control metal, she can control whole city electric - there so many incident she cause the while town losst electricity 😂. She also can turn her control of electricity to a railgun use the coin only. It's cool hahah) 2. Water type control. - i love to have this bcuz i think it's also can be OP power at the same time healing power. Inspired by avatar, where water bender can also heal people, can be attack and defense by making it icy, and katara also show that she can control the blood of people (uwuu). So at least i want to learn how to heal and as well as control the blood. Maybe able to make ice is too OP, so i don't need it, so maybe it's more like the power to control anything that have water properties ? Something like that.
