Hi Vasanti, I met Chandrakantbhai at My Friend Kalabens home who is his Sister and she is your mother in law. He was amazing cook ,creating his own receipes as was living in America and was writing his own book. You are very lucky as Kalaben herself is Amazing cook as well. I am lucky to learn lot from her. Vas! I cooked this recipe on Friday and it went down a right treat with my partner! 😊 We had it with rice and some Lebanese flatbread and salad and I’ve got leftovers to have tonight. It is so delicious and moreish 😋 now to think about what I’m going to make next…I think I might go for your spinach curry and add potatoes to it…yes! Yes! I will make roti! I went and got some Elephant Atta today and ordered a Tawa. I have an electric hob so will hopefully be able to make them good…do you have any tips to help with that?
Great!! (sorry for the late reply!) Yes! If you're using an electric hob, when you have to make the roti rise, you'll need to put it on a wire rack to get the heat, not directly on the hob, otherwise it'll stick. Hopefully you didn't find this out the hard way!
