for dotting tools I tend to push a sewing pin into the eraser of a pencil, you get a lot of control and since pinheads have such a variety of sizes you'll have a lot of choice of size. for a very fine dotting tool you can push a pin through a mechanical pencil eraser so the pointy end is sticking out and then dip it in a tiny bit of hot glue for the ball
My mother had a pair of the gold bird scissors like you were using to cut bristles with. She always used them when she did her needle point. Just brought back some memories.
This is really amazing 😍💞 I once made a dotting tool out of paper 😂 I just rolled it until the desired thickness and that was it 💝 you just need to make sure it's in a perfect circle and then it's good to use ☺️
Thank you Natasha. I am a man trying to improve my brush skills decorating suits of armour... And this REALLY helps! Also, you have A FANTASTIC voice for narration... Perfect in fact!! BRAVO 🏆🇬🇧
We must be mental creative twins! I have virtually no money for extras and I have the most amazing nails since Jan 1 of this year( after biting them to the quick over 50 years). Now I can practice my love of painting on my nails and it's so fun! Granted,I just buy clearance $ store polish and have made implements out of every thing you've shown here! Just a couple of my own ideas:( being poor makes one very creative!)The tooth flosser-I melted the tip a small bit with a lighter and formed into a ball with WET fingers..makes a great dotter..and I have made lovely white french tips using nude polish and well shaken new-ish (not thick & old) "White Out"..then a top coat- looks expensive and pro!
thank you so much for this tutorial ❤❤❤ my parents won't let me buy any nail related stuff not even nail polish you're video has given me hope that i can actually paint my nails without so mush tools
Long long time ago I was a cosmetologist. I learned to use an orange wood stick. Dab one end in acetone or polish remover and shake it slightly so that it's damp instead of wet. Next take a cotton ball and gently roll the damp end of the orange wood stick in the cotton ball. Only use a thin layer to wrap the end. One cotton ball should be enough for several times. As you wrap the stick dip it in polish remover. This makes a good clean up tool and it's not expensive. You may have to wrap it a few times depending on how dark the polish is. It cleans the cutical and skin around the nail easily. I actually prefer this method as I feel as though I have better control of the stick.
Random tip but personally I think q-tips are the best clean up brushes for red nail polish because red usually stains my fingers when I use the regular clean up brushes but when I use the q-tips, it works so much better!
🤩 wow 😳 due to Covid 19 I happened to find this video you are brilliant 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽 thank you for this I have plenty of time to practice nail art but limited tools “due to Coronavirus “ I can’t get any in a timely fashion 😩🤣
we're going to have nail art activity tomorrow and I don't have these tools.... It helps a lot... thank you so much... this is the first vid that I watch from your channel... new subscriber!
I ❤️’d ur video!! Mother of 4 can’t just afford stuff for myself... oh n Another great tipI when I run outta latex i use regular school glue it peels right off and if I’m outta q-tips I jus take a lil but of a cotton ball around a toothpick n that works great for not messing up my Nails 👍
see and here I was using just my nail polish brush no tools. Lol, I really need to get some now! It would have made my heart shaped french manicure soooo much easier that I just did on my channel. Thank you!
Hi Rhiannon, I have 3! I wear a strengthening gel over them (I have a video on it called My Secrets For Long Strong Nails) and that stops them from breaking when I have to be so hands on xxx
A manicurist I had years ago would take a wooden cuticle stick and glue 1-3 bristles to the end of it for a really fine lining brush. Looked weird but totally got the job done. And when it fell apart after a lot of use, she’d just glue new bristles on.
