How to make your own nail stencils using painter's tape

For those of you who don't have freezer paper, you could use:
~Wax paper
~Parchment paper
~The slippery paper you see when you peel a sticker
~The paper you peel on a pad
There are probably more that I don't know about.

Electrical tape is the closest material you can get to the vinyls that you buy from the nail art shops. They create a better seal against the nail for a cleaner finished result.
I found that some good scoring tools are pens that have run out of ink, the corner of a credit card, hair pins, tweezers and the end of a comb. Hope someone found that helpful.

inside tip if u dont have freezerpaper:
use the paper u peel off of pads :D u know the lil piece of paper u throw away when sticking the pad into ur pants it works really well i tried it.:D

You could honestly just use hole enforcers that's what I use 😁
yes buy hole enforcers and they are very good that way you do not spend time on that one that it will be hard to do
Ns Swapna you can use the things that go around the holes in binder paper as a stencil

What is freezer paper?
Some sort of butter or baking paper
Grease proof paper
Emily Rachel Gilley It's a type of paper that has one side covered in a slightly waxy coating. It can be used for wrapping meat to be placed in the freezer or can also be used for diy appliqué for t-shirts
You can use wax paper
Umm im pretty sure it is parchment paper or wax paper

Wonderful tutorial!Might I make a suggestion? Instead of peeling off then re-sticking the tape onto a new piece of paper, you can just lay a strip of tape onto the back of the cut parts to hold it together. Less chance of damaging the tape .
I am so glad that I found this video! I use Painter's Tape for nail work and I also love crafting. I bought, years ago, a container with a dozen edged scissors for scrap booking and I used, like, 2 of them. Those would make great scissors for making nail tapes like this!! What a great idea! Oh and I didn't have freezer paper, so I used waxed paper for now. I don't know how it will store compared to the freezer paper but it definitely worked for making them.

Im from England so what would be "freezer paper" and "painters tape" over here? I dont have a clue what I could use
The tape that you use to line the edges of walls when painting a room....and parchment paper works well. The shinier side up. :)
They translate to our 'greaseproof paper' and 'masking tape' xx

Painters tape is not masking tape. It's less adhesive, so that it can be pulled off a freshly painted wall without damaging the paint. Most hardware stores and such carry it. It's usually blue, but I've seen green and other colors depending on the brand. Some dollar stores also carry it.
I enjoy doing things like this while I'm bored with watching rubbish repeats on TV, this will save me money, so thanks it's very helpful 😀

Thank you so much for the video. I just made some using making take and parchment paper. TIP: When peeling the second tape off the design cuts, go slowly and make sure to cover 75% of the design. Also, for the straight cuts, after you've placed the strips tape on its resting paper, it's easier to pull from the middle; that way, you're not fighting with the individual strips coming up.

What is the alternate of freezer paper??plss answer
Freezer paper is like wax paper or a non stick paper
Zyllah Coballes Butcher paper, parchment paper, anything that has a slightly slick surface would work. I think the release paper from a sheet of stickers would even work well.
I don't know what freezer paper is but I used wax paper and worked perfectly fine

after putting these design tape on the nail. after applying the design of your choice. while removing these tape if it removed our nail polish from the nail then for that what we have to do??
If you apply a clear quick dry top coat and then let the polish dry completely, it should protect the polish and prevent the tape peeling it off
Let it dry completely with a Quick dry topcoat and also take a vinyl put it on the back of your hand and then take it off the back of your hand and then put it on the nail på its not SUPER adhesieve as before

Masking tape and wax paper
Instead of painters tape you could use masking tape or electric tape. You could use wax paper or parchment paper instead of freezer paper.
