i've been doing nail art for several years now, and it seems like i've seen all the possible nail hack videos. usually they have the same hacks, but somehow i keep hoping for something new to learn :) and ohmygod THIS IS IT! i've gotten so much from your video, thank you! the dotting tool for cleanup hack, the don't sponge up to the cuticle hack, the perfect illustration for why you need a quick-dry topcoat before applying vynils. i think i'm gonna rewatch it much more than once and i love your fingers, honestly :) my mom has much more crooked fingers and i think they look out-of-the-ordinary in the best possible way.
I completely agree, I'm an amateur home nail girl myself, however, all the videos I've seen so far are exactly the same. UNTIL this one! I'M SO HAPPY! You have such great ideas and your visual demonstrations are perfect to follow! THANKS DARLIN!
So ladies when are cap come off our nail polish I got a secret for you get your nail glue turn the cap upside down drop some glue in it then put the brush part back there you have it
I cannot believe this video is over 3 years old and I didn't know any of these hacks. I guess we are never too old to learn something new. Thanks for these wonderful tips! I hope you still read your comments when you posted this so long ago 👍
I have been going to the same nail salon for over 7 years. I now want to try doing my own nails... This is all brand new to me. WOW!!! I don't know some of the things that you are talking about, but I sure want to... I took off the gels and tips and can't wait to get started. The first thing is learning how to do my own nails and make them look pretty... That vinyl nail polish is a must.
Several years later.... Just want to say "Thanks!" I don't know why I didn't think of using a small photo album for my nail decals, but that is a great idea. And from now on I'll be using glitter to repair bumps and smudges to fresh polish.
I used to think the same thing and that I was just a weirdo with strange fingers but honestly it's good to see I'm not alone lol. thank you for watching!
I have been doing nail art for about 20 years and a couple of these hacks are new to me, so THANK YOU!!!! I am officially subscribed to your channel now too ♡
The broken cap hack is amazing! I'll definitely be doing that. And it's good to know that I'm not the only one who gets wonky brushes. I've been using that hack to fix them.
Great hacks, thank you! Mineral oil will easily remove stickers/sticker residue. Plus you can paint it gently over fresh polish. The oil sets the polish, not completely dry, but set. It's the main ingredient in all manufactured polish quick dry liquids. I filled an empty polish bottle for easy application.
I am so confused by what you're saying here, because it kind of goes against what I know, but I AM a natural blonde (lol) and could just be misunderstanding something... would you mind explaining this with a little more detail? Thank you :)
Thank u for making this! Most nail art hack vids are the same 5 things that we've all heard before like glitter removal and blah blah blah, but I didn't know about the opaque glitter and sponge one and that's going to help me a lot! Especially since I love glitter :)
Beautiful manicure. When I went to cosmetology school, learning to do mani/pedis, i learned that you always start with your little finger anyway. Thanks for your nail hacks. Thanks, and I’m a new subbie.💅🏽💅🏽💕🌈
Great hacks honey! I know this is an older video but I’m just seeing it. Love the photo album idea for the vinyls! Thanks so much for all the awesome ideas!
Other acetone related hack: If it gets on a wood surface like a table or something, you can put a thin/medium thick cloth over it and then iron on top of it at high heat until the acetone stains are gone. Kind of a pain for non-flat surfaces like edges of the table or things like that but it works really well if you spill acetone on a wooden surface :)
I enjoyed watching very much but I remember now that I don't have the patience to do most of this. I love the way your nails look, though. I started taking piano lessons when I was young so I grew up having short nails because the longer ones would click on the keys and make it harder to play. So I'll just watch you do fun things with your nails and enjoy it that way.😄
Wow, you gave us some hacks I've _actually_ never heard before. I didn't think that was possible since I've watched every nail video _ever made_. SUBSCRIBED.
These were SO Brilliant!! I love the one where you paint your thumbs last. By the way I have that same furry photo album. I bought mine about a year ago when I was 54 years old.😂 I had not heard of any of these. I have tried to make my manicure last longer by painting the open space next to my cuticle but the way you do it is much better. Really great ideas!
In the thumb hack, I use an orangewood stick to clean around my fingers. That way I never ruin my thumbs. And if the dry polish gets clumpy in the stick, I file off the dry polish. I've used the same stick for years
4:45 lol, I thought I was the only one!!! Whenever I paint my own nails I do that, but whenever I paint someone else's nails, I don't because I'm afraid that it will hurt them... I'm glad someone else does this too!😂😊
Great hacks! And No u didn't waste my time , never heard them before ! Love the filing nail opposite direction of bent finger and top coat before vinyls ! Subscribed!
Hooooly shit #8 literally blew my mind!! I've always stayed away from dark gradients because I hate stained cuticles. I'm so happy I follow you on insta and that I watched this video!
Liss Firefly love you profile pic and i totally agree. if it turns out so badly show us. o wait it doesn't come out badly so you can't. that is just one of the 20 things wrong with this viddeo
Hi I'm a new subscriber and I thought I would know most of these hacks but amazingly I learned a lot, my tip is I always start painting my pinky nail first and work round to my thumb that way there's less chance of smudging the previous nails, thanks for all the information xx
Wow #20 is the best tip for me. I have kids that come first so I'm not able to get mine filled right away. I never thought of that. It blends great, good tip
Grown Woman idk who’s telling you you are only allowed to buy polish on sell......but tell them to go jump off a cliff and buy that polish love. LIVE YOUR BEST POLISHED LIFE!!!❤️
#19 just saved my butt right now. A lot of these I did not know (though I don’t do my own nails often) and are really great hacks. Great job, and Thank You!
Figured out the paint the thumbs last early on, very helpful. I was hoping you would address the little bumps that happen for no particular reason. Is it dust or old nail polish or air bubbles? Or just the exposure to air every time you use it, definitely thickening up the polish. Can it be thinned out with anything? Love the liquid latex, I'm the worst, especially with darker colors. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!
It could be any of the 3 but it is most likely that your polish is too thick. I would try adding some nail polish thinner (I get mine at Sally's and CosmoProf) and see if that helps. Also be sure you are not shaking your polish immediately before using it. Hope that helps and thank you for watching!
These are my fav. nail hacks! the most helpful one was the one in which u used the dotting tool n cotton! I usually get dirt under my tips and this hack really helped
You seem so sweet!!!! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. My mind is blown!!! Why haven’t I thought about painting thumbs last!! Smh Duhhhh lol!!! Thanks girl
I thought I was the only one with crooked middle fingers, but I liked the way you filed the nail to make the finger look straighter. And your hack about doing your thumbnails last is really a great idea. I always am having to "clean up" around the nails and end up messing up my thumb nail.
I always paint my left hand then my right, since I always get polish on the opposite hand so I can always use nail polish remover to get it off and a new top coat! :)
That was my favorite tip too! My daughter has some she uses for cosplay. I'm going to clean out an old polish bottle and pour some off for myself for manicures.
Yeah, that's what I thought to, so you don't need any other tools and no nailpollish on the tool or yourself ;-) But nevertheless brilliant idea with this extra tip ;-)
Great video! Great editing! Sweet girl, a personal note to you. Have pride and confidence with this video. You were kind enough to share these hacks. It took a lot of your time to put this all together and do it well. Anyone who listened did so of their own free will and could have stopped at any point. ALWAYS end on a positive, uplifting and or motivational note and a reminder to like and subscribe to see more. Examples: "I hope you enjoyed and were able to benefit from this collection of hacks. I will be posting one new video each week. Like and subscribe to be notified when those videos are ready for your viewing pleasure. Until next time, take care of yourselves." Or... "I hope you enjoyed and are motivated to try some of these hacks. Like and subscribe to be notified when the next video is ready for your viewing pleasure. Until next time, keep those smiles crisp and always make time to care for yourselves!" Do not EVER end a video with an apology or sorry I wasted your time or the such. Your positivity and confidence makes me want to watch more. If you feel my time could have been wasted, that makes me sad. I really liked your video and want you to succeed. Take care!
I disagree. I listen to so many videos with repeats, and it does give you a sense of having wasted your time. It made this host seem like such a real person that she just acknowledged that instead of signing off with some phony uplifting crap at the end. I hate hate hate videos that start with a one minute plus intro and then end with begging for subscribers. I will subscribe naturally if a channel host is authentic and helpful.
absolutely love the hack of putting my nail vinyls in a small picture album!! organization makes my brain happy. how about some tips on using the darn things: nail vinyls? Whenever i try to use the type that are used while in a square (ie: zebra, Moroccan, rain drops, hounds tooth), as opposed to the single (ie: straight, zig zag, shevron), i can't get them to lie flat and stick evenly, and so my lines are almost never sharp. this is because my nails are so curved. My problem, i think, is that i do not know where to clip the vinyl so it will lie flat, won't "leak", and keeps the integrity of the design.
I'm pretty sure I've used two sponges for like 20 gradients because I cut the sponges to exactly the size I need and reuse the heck out of those things
Thank you so much for all your tips. I had almost quit doing my nails I was so frustrated, you are awesome! If I have another problem I will see if you have some tips to try. Thanks again👍🏻❤️ Shar from Wyoming ❤️
Thanks for sharing let me sugest you my little trick to clean my nails. To clean the back of your nails try a soft toothbrush to wash them you will get a better results with out hurting your self
KennedyStewart Once it's unglued inside it will keep falling out every so often. It's better to fix it so it doesn't fall out when you're in the middle of painting your nails.
I use my thumbs for cleaning up my nails too, but I dip the tip of my thumb in remover first. Also have a cotton ball with a bit of remover on it so that you can swipe your thumb after every nail clean up. 😁👌 These were all great tips and hacks, thank you! 🤗
Excellent Hacks!!! The best I've seen on nails... can I just add one little thing ?...for the perfectionists out there ....we learned in beauty school the proper way to apply polish is always to try to do each nail in only three brushstrokes and never over paint .... ( especially good for when polish starts to get thicker ) SO in order to achieve that you press down on the loaded side of your brush a bit harder than you are ---starting in the centre --- and then Fill left and right side in after....in one smooth stroke from cuticle to nail tip. know what I mean jellybean ?? so that more than half the nail is painted with the first stroke down the centreline and then you are just filling in the sides to blend ...(if you're not doing nail art -best done very thin and repeat for second coat) you get really good at applying the exact same amount to every nail in just three strokes if you are a professional that does nail polish all day ... ( I taught my six-year-old when she was first learning to do nail polish to go slow take your time and Do that instead of little short strokes that are a mess and just make it tacky ...and she does a great job of not even getting it on the skin) ! This way you only dip the brush twice -- enough for one complete length down the wide centre and half on either side of the second load on the brush -if needed. Some brushes are really great like- sally Hansen miracle gel - which is wide and flat and holds enough product that you can do an entire nail in one dip without dripping, using this technique! love your video! Thank u....plse. Show us more of how u do nail art!
i've been doing nail art for several years now, and it seems like i've seen all the possible nail hack videos. usually they have the same hacks, but somehow i keep hoping for something new to learn :)
and ohmygod THIS IS IT! i've gotten so much from your video, thank you! the dotting tool for cleanup hack, the don't sponge up to the cuticle hack, the perfect illustration for why you need a quick-dry topcoat before applying vynils. i think i'm gonna rewatch it much more than once
and i love your fingers, honestly :) my mom has much more crooked fingers and i think they look out-of-the-ordinary in the best possible way.
What a sweet comment!! Thank you so much. I'm so happy this could help you :)
you nail had to be longer for the shape of nail you have
I completely agree, I'm an amateur home nail girl myself, however, all the videos I've seen so far are exactly the same. UNTIL this one! I'M SO HAPPY! You have such great ideas and your visual demonstrations are perfect to follow! THANKS DARLIN!
When my cap breaks, I just put it back screw it back on and take it off
So ladies when are cap come off our nail polish I got a secret for you get your nail glue turn the cap upside down drop some glue in it then put the brush part back there you have it
Karen Williams - that’s actually quite brilliant, thanks on behalf of all the genders
@@karenwilliams1139 that was mentioned in this video
Yeah same
I just wiggle it off of the ledge of the bottle and then screw the cap back on and then screw it back and it reattaches
Same
"cover up your mistakes with glitter" does this work with everything else in life?
I sure hope so
If only...
Yep...just run around with a mini pot of glitter and throw it at your ex's and woolah! Hopefully they vanish
it should wouldn't that be grand 😜
Works for me!! 🧚🏻♀️
I cannot believe this video is over 3 years old and I didn't know any of these hacks. I guess we are never too old to learn something new. Thanks for these wonderful tips! I hope you still read your comments when you posted this so long ago 👍
The one I liked most was applying the glitter polish to a sponge 1st! I hate applying too many coats of clear just to get enough glitter...Thank You!!

Lololol "no one wants to see me flip anyone off with that thing!" Omg you're the cutest lol I'm baggin up!
Glitter on a sponge is GENIUS! I usually have to use 2-3 coats to get enough glitter, and then it's so thick, it chips off super easy! TFS❤

Excellent tips! I like the one about painting a clear coat on your nail before you use the nail vinyl.
Horizontal clear coat with stripes: so simple yet so genius - thank you!! :-)
Starting a dark gradient lower on the nail for less cleanup = genius! I'm definitely planning to incorporate that trick soon. Thanks Bana!
yay!! thank you for watching, Meredith!

Better hack… don’t do your nails on a wood surface
i'm so sorry about everybody saying you copy simply nailogical. i recognize your unique talent and appreciate the video! ☺☺☺
This is one of the best nail hack videos I've seen in a while!! Thanks!!
Nemixtli thank you for watching!! :)
The thumbs painted last is the best and simplest thing ever. Why didn’t I think of that. 😊
I'm new to nail painting, i've always been a biter but i grew them so i'm really pleased i found your video
I enjoyed watching very much but I remember now that I don't have the patience to do most of this. I love the way your nails look, though. glad you liked it! thank you for watching :)
Hooooly shit #8 literally blew my mind!! I've always stayed away from dark gradients because I hate stained cuticles. I'm so happy I follow you on insta and that I watched this video!
Simply Nailogical totally disproves and disagrees with not putting thick glitter on a sponge. She does it a ton and it turns out beautifully.
Ok? Cristine's opinion isn't the only one that matters. I respect hers but I'm allowed to have my own
your absolutely right I agree with you and btw love your videos im ganna subscribe

Yasss cristine!!!! I thing this girl watches her because when she was using the simply peel she said no big deal!!!
Haha luv the "add glitter" hack, my husband's artist mentor's mantra is "if you make a mistake just add glitter!"
I start with my pinkies when I paint my nails.
Full-Metal-Girl Same girl👌🏼☺️
I start with my index finger
Hi I'm a new subscriber and I thought I would know most of these hacks but amazingly I learned a lot, my tip is I always start painting my pinky nail first and work round to my thumb that way there's less chance of smudging the previous nails, thanks for all the information xx
When you cleand the underneath of your nail tip it looked very convincing! !😂
Wow #20 is the best tip for me. I have kids that come first so I'm not able to get mine filled right away. I never thought of that. It blends great, good tip
When she said call the company i laughed my world off! I am only allowed to buy nail polishes that are on sale or max $15

#19 just saved my butt right now. A lot of these I did not know (though I don’t do my own nails often) and are really great hacks. Great job, and Thank You!
almost every single one of these were new to me this video rocked thanks!
Love it! I’m going to the dollar store today to pick up some of this stuff. TY. My daughter & I should hv fun.

So helpful! Thank you. My favourite tip was to topcoat before using a vinyl sticker. 😀
For the broken cap one, you can always push down and turn and it always works for me :)

I was actually surprised because normally I know every hack but for these I only knew about half. Great video!

Your nail hacks were really helpful
The one for the gradient one was genius, definitely gonna try it :)
I probably need liquid latex for every time I paint my nails just as a general rule! Lol! I am awful! 🤦🏻♀️
That was my favorite tip too! My daughter has some she uses for cosplay. I'm going to clean out an old polish bottle and pour some off for myself for manicures.
I love these hacks and had only heard of a few of them. Thanks! :)
In the 3rd one u can just put the cap back in and open it again

You guys !! I just realized that for the cutting the sponge hack, you can re-use the back of the slide of sponge you previously used!
I have been doing that since day one
I love your username😂

Fanny Medina That’s a good idea👌🏼 as a lot of nail brushes/scrubbers are quite rough & harsh. So thanks 4this idea❤️
I liked the bonus one at the end! Great idea for removing the annoying parking stickers.
Great hacks! For cleaning under my nails I take a straight edge pair of tweezers (one end) and slide under my nail to clean!
Or the pointed edge of my metal nail file, and/or the file built into toenail clippers.
The liquid latex hack is my favorite. I can't wait to try it!
i leave the brush in and just glue the cap right on, dont have to take it out ! :p easier that way, no mess
Absolutely love it and i am going to use almost all of these

Anna Garcia Why do you gys keep saying that...
its getting annoying
elizaann 00 Cristine from Simply Nailogical says that every time she used simply peel. That’s what the h💿l💿 fam and holosexuals are about as well.
These are Great Hacks!!! I never thought of any of these the nick covered with glitter AMAZING!!!
just a suggestion with the photo album would be to add labels to each page so you don't even need to flip through the all
That's a great idea!
Banicured bihk

I only heard 2 of these!great vid
thank you Ellie!
Banicured it's okay
For No. 3 you can just twist the cap back on and then take it off and it's fixed
SmackToDaFace ikr that one is useless
KennedyStewart Once it's unglued inside it will keep falling out every so often. It's better to fix it so it doesn't fall out when you're in the middle of painting your nails.
I use my thumbs for cleaning up my nails too, but I dip the tip of my thumb in remover first. Also have a cotton ball with a bit of remover on it so that you can swipe your thumb after every nail clean up. 😁👌 These were all great tips and hacks, thank you! 🤗
Omg you have the same ring as me and you’re wearing it on the same finger that I do 😂
Excellent Hacks!!! The best I've seen on nails... can I just add one little thing ?...for the perfectionists out there ....we learned in beauty school the proper way to apply polish is always to try to do each nail in only three brushstrokes and never over paint .... ( especially good for when polish starts to get thicker )
SO in order to achieve that you press down on the loaded side of your brush a bit harder than you are ---starting in the centre --- and then Fill left and right side in after....in one smooth stroke from cuticle to nail tip.
know what I mean jellybean ?? so that more than half the nail is painted with the first stroke down the centreline and then you are just filling in the sides to blend ...(if you're not doing nail art -best done very thin and repeat for second coat)
you get really good at applying the exact same amount to every nail in just three strokes if you are a professional that does nail polish all day ...
