So adorable! I never think to use my envelope flap as a tuck spot! I love how you give ideas to fit everyone! Can’t wait to see the finished project! That bird pocket…too cute! Everything just went perfectly! 🥰
I really like the children's theme. I think I'd use it as a "fun with nana book". Journaling outings with the littles and tracing thier handprints and putting pictures in it. Keep it at Nana's house, and they could look through it with Nana and talk about memories. Give it to them at graduation or thier wedding. Ooo...lots of ideas! 💗 TFS🤗
Such a fun video. This would be a great journal for my granddaughter (she is only one year old but I am a new grandma and thinking ahead). I love children’s books. Thanks for all your wonderful ideas.
Such a lovely journal! I love the pictures in many children's books, but have felt stuck how to use them. This project of yours "unlocked" my brain 😃 And I also really enjoyed the handmade stamps and stencils! I will definitely make some myself! Thanks alot for sharing your ideas 🤗🦋🌻🕊️
Oh my goodness, this is becoming such a fabulous journal! I love the additions you stamped and stenciled. The baby foxes just made me go, “Awwww!” I love the way you did this in stages. The pages, then the stamping/stenciling, and then the ephemera. As always, I love, love, love this! Can’t wait till your next video!
Guten Morgen, liebe Barbara! Rita
This just proves you can make a junk journal out of anything. This is so cute! Another thing I found interesting is the pages you put your ephemera on. You can use anything and it’s what you do with the pages that make your journal stunning, or cute, or elegant, or silly. It all depends on where you want to go. I love that there’s no seriously wrong things…. Like, oh no! I’ve ruined my whole journal by doing that one thing! Nope, you don’t like some stars? Cover them. I am really enjoying this journal (oh heck. I love everything you show us)! Lol. Thank you♥️🧚🏻♥️🧚🏻♥️
These pages are so adorable with the children’s book ephemera, pockets and tucks! I was inspired to make a similar journal for one of my daughter-in-laws as she loves the children’s illustrations just as I do! Thanks for sharing!
Love that you are using children's book to make a journal. I been watching several artist that make journals. But none have taken children's book to make journals other then the Little Golden Books from the USA. I have do many old children's books because I loved the illustrations. Now I going to to take your ideas and make a journal.
This is going to be the cutest journal. Love the children’s theme. My favorite stencil is the blue flower on the music page and the fairies. Can’t wait to see what else you do. TFS Barbara! ❤️
I love the colours here! This could be a jolly and cheerful journal💙🌸. The pictures are truly fetching! You put all the ephemera in such a colour oriented manner! I am enjoying this alot!
This is going to be so cute! So many children's books come with glossy pages and they just don't do as well. I was so hoping you would draw branches between those red dots you didn't like so it would appear as a tree reaching into the page, but you couldn't hear me through the computer! Can't wait to see the rest. Right now I am building my October journal (a week late but...) with mostly your printables. I'm having such fun!
Oh this cracks me up!!😂 I thought I was the only one talking with her as she shares!! I tried to tell her I thought she should try something in a different place, but she couldn’t hear me either!! She makes it all work out well in the end! I’m so glad she talks and tells us how she works her way through things because I learn so much!
I’ve never seen anyone use only images from children’s books...it looks so much better than I thought it would. 👍 I’m looking forward to seeing how you make your cover. 🥰❤️
Such a good idea to make prints with such colors that matched the childrens book pictures, it looks awesome Barbara! I love the idea from your follower to make it as a granny book…..I am not a granny yet but I love everything about children books …always did because I was a kindergarten teacher for 37 years. Yesterday I bought such a children fairytale book for just 1 euro in a thriftshop yeeeh so I am certainly gonna use this idea for a future granny book. Thank’s for inspiring again, Touareg the best🥰
Oh Barbara I am SO glad to see this!! I have children’s books I want to integrate into my journals and I am excited seeing this come together so well!! Thank you for sharing with us!! 😊
This is so much fun, Barbara! I have always loved children's books! The pictures are always so wonderful in them!! Can't wait to see the rest of the journal!!

I love this idea so much! So amazingly beautiful. It was satisfying just watching you finding the perfect spot to put the ephemera. It looks so much easier having them all done prior and just add to the journal later. I need to try this. 😍

Hi, I'm still Debbi, just finally got around to putting my account name right 😄. I love the feel and weight of kids book pages, so tactile. That robin and the foxes are adorable 😍. Oh I have that fairy stencil, I bought it on ebay. Cute diy stamps 😍 you can also die cut them from fun foam. This would make an awesome 'treasure book' for a child! So cute 😍. Tfs and have a great weekend 💖💖
Hi Barbara 😊 Try using the fat side of a sponge brush when you paint stencils. I work at a place called Board & Brush here in the states, people make wooden projects and paint on them using stencils. We have our customers use sponge brushes, dip in the paint, press out the excess paint & dab with 2 fingers on of the sponge. I find this works best when stenciling with paint 💗
I am in real love with your journal sweetie 😍. You know my love for all that is childish, and here, everything is harmonious, fresh and joyful. I love It son much ❤
I was wondering why you mostly put the ephemera where you already have designs painted? Is this a design trick we need to know about? Also, I noticed that you have very little writing spots, so is this mostly just to look at? I have one that was mostly just for looking at with a few words written here and there with my thoughts.

I’m not sure what you do with these, are they for adding things to them or just looking at the pages? They are very creative!
You can add whatever you want, writing, photos, keepsakes….
I was wondering why you mostly put the ephemera where you already have designs painted? Is this a design trick we need to know about? Also, I noticed that you have very little writing spots, so is this mostly just to look at?
I have one that was mostly just for looking at with a few words written here and there with my thoughts.
I think the painting enhances the ephemera. Also, there will be more writing space. Just keep watching ☺️
