Lord Elgin Direct Reading Chevron (1956)

In this video present my Lord Elgin Direct Reading "Chevron" watch and some details when you buy one.
I also present the range of direct reading Elgin models available at that time ("Golfbal" and "Elvis Tank") for more or less the price of my Chevron .
Formally: Lord Elgin Direct Reading Watch, movement 719 with 21 jewel
Also know as: Lord Elgin Chevron.
The Direct Reading concept (1954 for Elgin) of these watches is also known as Jump Hour. I don't know the manufacturing date of my watch but I know these models were manufactured between 1956 and 1962.

I have a Lord Elgin Chevron exactly like yours, but in slightly less cosmetically good condition. It was working wonderfully but the hour disc has detached from it's spring. I tried to reassemble it myself but the spring is too tiny. Nobody in Sweden will touch it. Do you have the contact for your watchmaker who helped with yours? I think it's almost in working order.

Very hard to imagine a 'high tech' watch from the past cost a weeks salary at that time.
