Enjoyed. Very informative, I live in sth, aust. can you tell me where I can buy the plastic drainage pot from as I have been unable to fined it anywhere. Thanks Geoff.
Both provide good aeration and drainage. For wood, overtime it breakdown much faster than drainage cell. However, with wooden basket sometimes the roots tend to sink in while for the drainage cell it does not. So there are pros and cons to each media mount.
Hello, watering depends on a couple of things. How fast your media dries after watering, how windy your area is and what type is it. Some, don’t do so well when the media is completely dried.
Very very good video...best I've come across do far
Very informative. Thank you very much!

Thanks for your reply. No such luck. 😥
Would be great if you could share a video of pvc mounting in near future
Thanks in advance
Sure, we’ll work on a video.
Would you caution against mounting in vanda baskets? Are drainage cells or wood the preferable choice?

Can you show how to plant on a pvp pipe?
Sure, we share one of these day.
why do you use spangm and coco parts together ?
It’s a good balance of free draining and moisture retaining.
Can please write the names of all that ingredients 🙏
can i use sphagnum moss in an old staghorn its a p. coronium
If it’s an old Staghorn with a good root mass we would not recommend adding any more media. The old roots hold on water relatively well.
and i also added perlite should i remove it and i think its 30 to 50 yrs. old
For an old plant, we typically don’t recommend adding any additives. You can leave the perlite there since it’s a free draining media.
@@TheRootCulturist so no sphagnum and also fern slab or just wood
@@TheRootCulturist what do you do if leaves of staghorn has blackish tips
What is fun bot?
It’s fern bark.
