    • @krell2130

Lolly Adefope's, Ruth Duggan character part is just absolutely Perfect - Her character holds SUCH an overwhelming grudge against poor Alan, shes determined to undermine & destroy him (for what we discover is such a small reason!). . . . love that superfluous, extra storyline, to the script
    Lolly - You are a star !

Alan Partridge has been around a long time now - yet the humour gets better, cleverer and funnier. I can't think of any other British comic character that has done that.

@@maccagrabme I agree that the AP of 2021 isn't the same as, say, the AP of 1997. Still, I have been following the character since the very beginning on Radio Four, and for me there is continuity behind the outward change. I enjoyed This Time.

i just like how alan shows different facets of his self centred character with every platform. here you get more of the sadistic alan who enjoys toying with simon when simon dares speak. he LOVES seeing simon try to crack a joke and then he withholds any support for him.

Reminds me of SO many actual people. Passive aggressive warfare. That's why it's so funny, Coogan knows what those people are up to and rips the piss out of them.
