    I’m 72 and have had afib since I was 28. I exercise every day. Over 100 pushups, long hard walks, ran professionally in the past, weights every 2 days. Feeling great.

      I am nearly 48 and have been in permanent afib since I was 11, had SVT from 4 to 11 but stabilised in rate controlled afib.
      Interestingly, I have never taken anticoagulants (yes, aspirin from age 25 to 35) but never show any signed of clots on any scans/tests like cardiac MRI, TOE etc
      It really makes my consultants scratch their heads...me, in general, make them scratch theory heads 😂

      Cardioversion epic fail after 3 blast at maximum power, but we always knew that would never work.
      Regarding the ablation, doctors are not confident doing the 4 classic spots will achieve anything.
      Because the cardioversion was such a flop, as in, not a sniff of normal sinus rhythm, there is a reluctantance to do ablation as it's appears it's a needle in a haystack job with me 🤷‍♂️

    I was diagnosed afib and heart failure July 2022. Quit alcohol, cut out most bread, carbs, went raw veggies and cooked meat diet. Heart meds (Eliquis, Entresto, Metropolol, Spironolactone). Sleep apnea. Got cpap machine. Sleep improved. Key.
    Heart improved in about 8 months. Key is inflammation reduction. Increased exercise. Bike. Work in yard.
    Afib went intermittent. Mostly normal rhythm now. Bread and beer kick start afib, as does over working and stress.
    Lifestyle, wise eating habits, exercise (push-ups are soooo good for good health).
    Losing weight very hard. I'm 6'5", 270lbs. That's the last piece. Food is really hard to control.
    You can beat this. Find your path to success. Encourage each other. Love thy neighbor!!

    Yaaaay...great to see you now that I'm fb free. Melly keeps me moving. If I dont walk her a couple of miles every day, the price of that transgression is great with a young Giant Schnauzer, lol. Looking forward to future episodes. Hugs to all at NHD.

    Walking? Sure, but that alone doesn’t satisfy me. I need to work out to feel fulfilled : running, cycling etc.. my cardiologist told me i should only do low intensity stuff like walking. I’m 42, not a grandpa…

    I am 34 years old just got diagnosed with permanent afib but when I walk I have chest pain and breathless. Will the pain go away? Is it normal to have it? My doctor say that I have to walk but the palpitations, pain and breathless scare me a lot. I have to lose a lot of weight. But diet alone takes too long.

      Read about gluten free diet.. grains and dairy may stand back your afib.. recommend Dr Osborne videos for further info.
