  • In this video, Dr. Jack Wolfson, a seasoned cardiologist, shares his expert insights on the top five foods to prevent heart attacks based on his extensive experience with heart disease in hospitals. He emphasizes the importance of seafood for its essential fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA, which are crucial for heart health. He also recommends organs from free-range, grass-fed animals like bison, which are rich in nutrients like CoQ10 that support heart function. Avocados make his list for their healthy fats and essential vitamins, while eggs, particularly those that are pasture-raised, are highlighted for their beneficial cholesterol content. Finally, Dr. Wolfson praises beets and green leafy vegetables for their nitrate content, which supports vascular health by enhancing nitric oxide production. These foods, according to Dr. Wolfson, are integral to a heart-healthy diet and can aid in the prevention and recovery from heart attacks.

I’ve been studying food for a long time after being diagnosed with heart disease.
💯 agree however beets caught me by surprise. I eat them for health benefits. Didn’t realize it would be on a top 5 list.
    Thank you great sir
BTW my heart is almost fully healed now. Amazing how living a healthy lifestyle will allow you body to heal.

Unfortunately, grass fed animal meat and products are still so hard to find in the grocery store. I love your information. I have cholesterol of 280 and immediately my primary physician and cardiologist is wanting me to take statins. They are frustrated with me standing my ground and refusing statins. I even try to discuss what I have read about statins and give them my resources, however, they snub me. I'm trying to find a doctor with your point of view on health in the DFW area. This is not an easy tasks because so many doctors don't stay on top up on current research and rely on the Farmingham study of the 60's! I've been a doctor of physical therapy for 30 years and focus on nutrition and hearth health with my patients. I will be sharing your channel with them.

I adopted a plant based diet but quickly learned I couldn't tolerate soy (my hair fell out, I have thyroiditis. My favorite foods are beets, avocados and anything green. I have familial hypercholesterolemia. I also added salmon and shrimp recently.

Understandable. I would suggest researching what type of food and ingredients are harmful to your health. Don’t consume them.
What’s expensive is hospital bills, prescriptions and lose of wages. Then you will need to eat healthy anyway. Invest in your self.
      Have a great day

LOL All the foods you mention take every day. BUT, not beets. Yuck! BUT, I do take a beet power that's not too bad. I can still taste the beet but it's tolerable. Beets is what the devil gave Eve in the Garden of Eden. ;) Just kidding.

@@NaturalHeartDoctor there is nothing natural about your recommendations. If you can’t demonstrate yourself gathering and consuming a “food” in its natural state then it is not natural. Gross misuse of the word nowadays.
